Glossybox February 2014 Review

     My Glossybox arrived today!
Yes, I know its March.  This is the one issue I have with Glossybox is their shipping practices are seriously in need of an upgrade.

The Cost: $21/month.

What You Get: Five luxury deluxe sized beauty essentials, from both well-known and emerging brands, delivered to your door each month.
Still, the package is as beautiful as ever. I really do love their presentation.
Included is an information card with notes about the product and the cost of the full size item.  It's always nice to know when you've been sent a sample worth more than the cost of the box.  On the other hand, it can be cost prohibitive.  Now that I know the Skin & Co. Truffle Serum costs $78, I'm going to try not to fall in love with it.  I will, however, use every last drop!

**Truffle Therapy Serum.  Most exciting to me is, yes, the I'm getting to that age where I'm thinking about keeping wrinkles at bay and making sure I'm ultra moisturized.  As I mentioned before, full size-$78!
**Pureology Serious Hair Color (Color Fanatic Multi-Tasking Beautifier for Color-Treated Hair): Full size-$24  I do have color treated hair so we will see how this works.  If it holds off the split ends, I'll be happy.  However, Im feeling a little inundated with hair care right now so I doubt I would purchase the full size.
**Lauren B. Beauty Nail Couture in City of Angels-Full Size: $18
Not truly impressed by this nail color.  It's the kind of color that washes me out.  I prefer bold pinks!
**Anatomicals Puffy the eye bag slayer-wake up under eye patches-Full Size included!! Value: $11
I'm going to use these right away!  I was super excited to see that these were going to be included and finding out that its full size and there are three sets included is fabulous!
**Sumita Beauty-Kala Color Intense Pencil-Full Size Included! Value: $15
Im not a big fan of eyeliner.  I have small eyes and have a hard time with liner anyway.  Im apparently not very artistic? Hah.  This will probably go up for trade but I'm very happy to see its full size.

I'm always happy to see full size items in a sample box.  I will use the Anatomicals and the Truffle Serum, without question.  The eyeliner and possibly the nail polish will go up for trade if I don't gift them (hello, stocking stuffers, anyone?!).  And I am curious about the Pureology so as soon as what I'm currently using runs out, I'll move on to this.

This Glossybox has a value of $54 if you break it all down by price per ounce based on full size prices.  For me personally, I would never pay $18 for a nail polish or $15 for an eyeliner which brings the value down for me.  My personal value for this box is exactly $21 without the polish or liner and has a $31 value at the prices I *would* pay for the polish and liner.  I'm gonna call this a win because I can totally gift the items I don't like or trade them for something I do like :)

If you would like to sign up and get a Glossybox of your own, you can do that right here!
Happy Unboxing!
