So this actually arrived sooner than the target arrived date so I'm even happier!
BeautyDNA is a brand new subscription box company. The first thing you do is fill out a SIXTEEN page profile! They want to know everything about your skin, your concerns, your hair, your eyes, your lips and your body. This is so they can choose the perfect product for you using their algorithms. It's a very in-depth questionnaire and I had to go look in the mirror a couple times to make sure I was telling them the right thing. They also make it really easy to understand what they are looking for by providing an explanation if you hover over an item with your mouse.
Then they scan through the thousands of beauty products they have and find you the perfect full-size product that addresses one of your skin, hair or body problems! They promise to not to send an item to treat the same area twice. So you'll get a skin product, then a hair product, then a body or lip or eye or whatever product! I personally only want skin products.
The Cost: $25/mo with free shipping
What You Get: One (possibly two) full-size products specifically tailored for you from your profile. You'll also receive a card explaining exactly why the product was sent.
On to the good stuff!! Here is what I received!
skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream with Arctic Berries and Peptides- a gentle but powerful plumping and rejuvenating moisturizer. Light as air and very hydrating, even for seriously stressed skin. Sodium Hyaluronate provides intense moisture to help diminish the signs of aging. Hydrolyzed rice protein helps fortify skin and inhibits collagen breakdown for softer, more youthful skin.
Value: $65
I paid $25 and received a very nice, quality product worth $65! Now that's a deal.
Also included in the package was a card explaining why they chose this item and how to use it.
I am impressed with their system. I think I should probably change my profile now that I've received something for dry skin. It's not super dry but a moisturizer never hurt anybody! I *am* curious about their rice protein claims regarding collagen. I'll have to research that out a little more.
The only thing that bums me out is that its in a jar. I really don't like jars just because I hate having to dip my finger in there. It gets under my fingernails and I hate that. :D
I can't be the only one who thinks this!
I'm definitely going to continue with this subscription. I can't wait to see what else they will come up with. This is a nice moisturizer that I normally would never buy. Ever. In a million years. Way too much money!
What do you think? Does this subscription interest you? Do you feel the value is there?
