Fortune Cookie Soap Summer 2014 Candy Aisle Review

This was my first ever Fortune Cookie Soap Co. Soap Box!  I was surprised by how small the box was but you know what they say!  Good things come in small packages!  The theme for this quarter is the Candy Aisle!

Let me warn you, though.

Apparently you gotta be dirty in order to get clean.  These are some hilariously risque naming conventions they have!

The Cost: $19.99/quarterly

What You Get: 8 exclusive, pre-release specially hand-crafted Fortune Cookie Soap Co. exclusive bath and body products in deluxe sample sizes along with a $10 gift card for using with any purchase at their website.

This box is sitting next to me as I write this and the scent is so delicious I can't stop my mouth from watering!  So many different flavors and so many TYPES of things!  I can hardly wait to dig in.  I might have to take another shower just to use a few of these.

Lemon Drop It Like It's Hot Microdermabrasion Scrub-  New! Formulated to brighten and smooth the skin just like a spa facial without the pricetag.  Use 1-2 times a week.  Fragranced with Lemon Peel essence and Orange zest.  Smells like heaven.  I wonder if I could eat it...

Lollipop Your Cherry OCD Hand Sanitizer- Cherries, cherries, cherries and vanilla with a hint of orange and pineapple.  A lot of people thought this smelled like cherry cough syrup but it doesn't to me.  It smells like cherry awesomeness and yes, I almost wish it was cough syrup so I could drink it.  Actually, it smells kind a like my scratch and sniff Strawberry Shortcake doll I had when I was a kid.  The one where she was made of... rubber? Plastic?  And you could scratch her hat and sniff it.  I'm old.  I can't help these kinds of things!

The Sweet Spot Sparkle Me-  Fresh picked melon, strawberries and peaches with sour mandarin oranges and pineapple, all sprinkled with sugar... And sparkles.  This smells SO good!  I wish it didn't have sparkles in it because I'd be more likely to use it.  It smells mouthwateringly fantastic!

The Famous Fortune Cookie Soap in Lick Your Lips- Cool peppermint ice cream with flecks of dark chocolate.  Refreshingly mintariffic!  Good for 50 handwashes.  In a row.  It smells that good.

Rock Your Socks Off Solid Sugar Scrub- This is the plastic wrapped purple square and it is VERY grape scented.  Grape gives me migraines (usually) so I'm avoiding this one but it will exfoliate, moisturize and soften.  Just shower, scrub and rinse!

Sweet Dreamsicle Wax Tart-  Ripe pineapple with a splash of bright orange citrus and vanilla ice cream.  This will go in my warmer asap!  I'll probably sit by it and drool.

Captain's Berried Booty Whipped Cream Body Butter- Oh, this smells like Captain Crunch Berries! One of my favorite sugared cereals (well, the Oops, All Berries, anyway).  Fruity, berry, vanilla, raspberry and tonka bean notes.

Blow Me Lip Scrub- Smells like bubble gum!  Mine is kind of a solid rock.  I'm not sure if its supposed to be like that.  I'll have to ask how to fix it without ruining it.

And of course the $10 Gift Card for their website!  Good toward everything except shipping and the actual Soap Box!

VERDICT: Fun!  Totally getting the next box, too.  I love the creativity, the scents and the variety of what they send.  They are deluxe sample sizes with plenty of use in them which is *always* a good thing!  I can't wait to use my wax tart, lip scrub and the Lemon Drop microdermabrasion scrub.  I'm already smelling like Capt'n Crunch Berries and I'm happy :)

If you want to get one of these boxes, they are currently sold out but you can sign up for the next one right here.  They'll charge you right away but it won't be sent til the Fall.  This way you don't have to worry about it selling out before you can get one.  I barely made the cut off this time around and I'm really glad I got in in time!  This is a FUN box!

  1. Yay you got yours today too! I'm jealous that you got a cotton candy lollipop because I got a cherry one. XD My lip scrub was kind of solid, but once I pressed down a little on it, I realized it was really soft and was easy to apply. I think someone on MUT said that you should open the container, put it in a plastic baggy with a piece of bread and let it soften if yours is rock solid.

    1. I emailed them about it (you probably saw). I'm going to add some coconut oil since mine is basically crumbles now.
