Influenster Vow Voxbox Reviews

This box was provided to me by Influenster for review purposes.  This particular box is called the Vow VoxBox and is for those who have anything to do with weddings!  I'm already married but there are weddings aplenty coming up (and just past) so I think I know a thing or two about them. :D

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish in Barracuda.  This is a lovely light blue color so I definitely  had to try it!  It has a really strange flat, square-ish brush which is actually not that easy to use.  You can't hold it any which way because you need to be able to wipe the wand part of the brush on the edge of the bottle.
The brush part is wider than I'm used to and it's almost as wide as my pinky nail so I had to be careful not to press too hard.
This is definitely a three coat nail polish.  It's streaky and doesn't apply evenly.  I'm guessing this is probably a result of the pale color.
Otherwise it finishes with a nice shine and the color really is beautiful!  The manicure you see in the photo is FOUR days old with NO chips!  And I've been weeding in the garden!  This formula also is a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, and top coat with a gel finish!  I think I might have to try a few more colors just for the chip-free awesomeness!
Value: $7.99

Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream-This is the best part of this box (in my opinion).   This is a tinted moisturizer that helps fade dark spots in 8 weeks and delivers ingredients ten layers deep into the skin's surface to help reveal pearlescent skin that glows.
I love Olay and their Regenerist line.  I have several of their products.  Since I haven't used this for 8 weeks, I can't attest to its dark spot fading but I can say it is a beautiful moisturizer.
It does have a very strong scent.  I'm not sure why they would scent a cream that goes next to your  nose so heavily but if you are sensitive this *will* bother you.
Value: $30.99

Tide To-Go Instant Stain Remover- If you've never used Tide To-go, you need to!  I love this stuff.  I take it everywhere with me in my purse.  When I travel, I always have one in my carry on because you never know when you are going to need it!
It's not magic, but it's pretty close to it!  It's not going to remove blood, grease or ink but it works fantastically for ketchup, coffee, juice, salsa, etc.  It's super easy to use and while it says it might not be colorfast on all fabrics, I've never had a problem with that.
Its a super economical way to save your favorite shirt, that's for sure.  Or get stains out of your wedding dress when you get chocolate cake smeared on it.  Right?
Value: $7.99 for a 3 count pkg

Pure Silk Moisturizing Shave Cream in Raspberry Mist- This shaving cream has added aloe and extra moisturizers to keep your legs soft and silky.  It smells so good I wish I could bathe in it.  They should make a deoderant this flavor.  Or something.  It's a very light, fruity smell and...  well, now I'm hungry.  Okay, not really.  But for a $1.49 this is a great shave cream.
Value: $1.49

EcoTools Pure Complexion Sponge-  This is a handmade sponge from 100% natural ingredients including Konjac vegetable fiber.  This is SO interesting!  It's hard as a rock when its dry (like in the photo)  but when you get it wet it becomes this super soft, squishy sponge!  I was amazed!  I thought it wouldn't be soft but it is!  It likely has exfoliating properties but it is so gentle!  I'm a little flabbergasted, actually.  It was nothing like I was expecting.  It even removed my mascara flakes :D.
Value: $5.99

Riley and Grey-  Riley and Grey designs wedding websites.  They will help you craft your unique wedding website and make it more amazing than you thought possible.  I didn't have a website when I got married but I guess it's the "thing" to do these days.  They do have some beautiful examples on their website www.rileygrey.com.

VERDICT:  What a fun box from Influenster!  These items were all completely free in exchange for an honest review.  You can join up, too, if this sounds like something fun to you!  Send me an email at bitsandboxesblog@gmail.com and I will send you an invite to the program!  You might actually be able to sign up without an invite (I'm not sure, I was invited by a friend) but I get some Influenster street cred if I invite people so... :D  Either way, if you like to review products and you love social media, join up!

  1. Ahh your nails are so pretty! I guess I didn't have enough coloring books as a kid cause I can't seem to color in the lines... :-/ I did notice it was kinda streaky too, even after two coats. But I love the color!
