Julep Maven Bombshell Review for July 2014 + Coupon Code!

This is my second Julep Maven box in my 3 month subscription.  You can see my review of my first box here.  Julep is mainly about nail polish but has been branching out into skincare and makeup products lately.

The Cost: $24.99/month or $19.99 a month if you choose for the 3 month option

What You Get:  A fully customized monthly delivery of over $40 in nail polish and beauty products, as well as 20% off and free shipping on other products at  You will also have access to the Secret Store each month.
You can try one of five beauty styles each month or upgrade to get them all!  When you sign up, you take a profile quiz that matches you with one of five styles.  You can stick with the one they chose or pick your own!
What's Your Style

My profile choice is consistently the Bombshell.  I like getting two polishes plus one beauty item.

This box came with coupons!  I also had chosen an add-on item.  Originally the Bombshell selection had come with Julep's new Bare Body Milk moisturizer but I have enough moisturizer.  Because your boxes are fully customizable now, I was able to choose something I needed instead of the Bare Body Milk.
Hooray for customization!  Two polishes, a basecoat and my Clean Slate Polish Correcting Pen!  I didn't change the polish colors since I liked both of the ones originally chosen for the Bombshell Box.

Julep Oxygen Smoothing Base Coat- A perfecting, hydrating base coat that helps your nails grow while filling in ridges to give your nails a smooth polishing canvas.
    Julep Beverly- Boysenberry Creme
    Julep Lissa- Tumbled Turquiose Creme

Swatched.  Lissa is nice and thick but Beverly seems pretty thin.

Julep Clean Slate Polish Corrector Pen- This is amazing! I've already used it and it works beautifully at cleaning up mistakes around the nail edges!  It can be used on wet or dry polish and comes with 3 extra tips which are kept at the bottom of the pen with a clear plastic cap.  I need more of these pens already!
This was my add-on item.  I think it was $5.99.

VERDICT: I'm happy with this box because I was able to put exactly what I wanted in it!  I like Lissa but I think Beverly might be a lot of work because it will need three coats probably.  The Clean Slate Pen is the answer to all my polish problems! :D  I also got it for a really good coupon deal, so it's totally worth it.

If you want to sign up Take the Maven Style Quiz and then use the code FREEBOX to get your first box free. You will be charged $2.99 for shipping and you are signing up for the monthly subscription service, however you can cancel at any time by simply contacting Julep Customer Service.

    1. Ohhh, that clean slate pen looks handy! I might have to get that for a friend's birthday in next month's box - that's an awesome add-on. :D Beverly looks like a really beautiful color, shame that it's so thin/watery.
