So I Got the Memebox Vitamin Care today... Review Time!

It's the Memebox Vitamin Care!  Alright so this box had a REALLY eclectic assortment of products in it.  It was not what I was expecting at all but that's what you get with a mystery box, right?!

Memebox Special #12 Vitamin Care is $29 plus shipping.  That's right, you can still get this box if you want to!  Use this link to get the Vitamin Care box with a 3 Memepoint reward for purchase.

So this box was not what I was expecting but I'll still try most of these things, just for fun, if not for actual efficacy.

Evas Vitamin Sun Cream SPF38PA++-50ml- This is a nice size bottle of sunscreen.  But does anyone notice how much it looks like a bottle of Vitamin Water?  Is that kind of copycatting legal?  I suppose I wished that Korean companies were above such things.  Apparently not.  Anyway, I can't figure out what kind of sunscreen it uses and can't find ingredients anywhere.  I should really start learning to read Korean.

PureSmile Snail Lip Treatment in Mixed Fruits- Alright.  So I've gotten used to snails in my skin but on my lips?! ACK!  I don't know if I can overcome that!  This is made from fruits, vitamin e, snail mucus and hyaluronic acid.  It also has shea butter and macadamia seed oil.  Hmm...  Those ingredients all sound good.  I think I will be brave and try it.  Okay, it doesn't taste bad however it is quite sticky.  It suggests wearing it at night and I think I may do that.

Amini Vitamin Shower Body Soap Bar-120g- This is a major chunk of soap!  It's a funny shape and I wonder if that makes it easier or more difficult to hold in the shower...  This soap bar will rejuvenate your skin with its gentle formula containing rosehip, lavender and peppermint oils.  Bah.  Lavender again.  Rosehip oil is very good for your skin, though, so I'm happy to see it as an ingredient!

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Real White Vita-Sauce 30-50ml-  That name is so odd and unappealing.  Here's another thing I wonder...  Why are the names of the products in English but everything else is in Korean?  If you were to buy this from a shop in Korea would it still have the English name on it?
This contains 30% pure vitamin C.  I'm happy to see that its in a brown bottle since light degrades the efficacy of vitamin C.  That's a good thing.  It also says that this provides whitening care, wrinkle care and moisturizes at the same time.
I'm pretty impressed with the ingredient list.  Don't get it in your eyes or as the box says "Please paint being careful not to catch sight of absolutely."  Vitamin C is serious business and is good for your skin but not so much your eyeballs.  This set of ingredients seems like it will not only nourish your skin with vitamin C and amino acids but also will provide anti-inflammatory benefits and brightening effects from cleansing agents causing cell turnover.  Totally using this!
Ingredients for Elizavecca Real White Vita-Sauce 30: Water, Ascorbic Acid, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Denat. Alcohol, Niacinamide, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Pinus Densiflora Bark Extract (Japanese Red Pine), Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract (Rooibos), Potassium Hydroxide, Arginine, Sodium Citrate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Allatoin, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine.

PureSmile Juicy Point Pads in Orange and Lemon- With ten pads in each resealable packet, these can be used for quite awhile!  These are enriched with Vitamin E, hyaluronic acid and collagen components.  Touted to soothe and moisturize irritated dry skin whenever and whereever needed.  Stick anywhere your skin is dehydrated and leave for 5-10 minutes.

Pure Smile Gelee Labo Marmalade-12g-  This is a marmalade textured wash off face mask.  It has orange extracts, hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica, and licorice root extracts to treat rough skin and improve elasticity.  My only quibble with this is that citrus extracts can irritate sensitive skin.  So if you've got sensitive skin stay away from this and the Point Pads as well.  Or use them on something other than your face.

Pure Smile Hand Gel Citrus Crash-30ml- Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer with a citrus scent.

VERDICT:  Are you ready for this?  Well, not my favorite box.  With that being said, I do like the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Real White Vita-Sauce.  I paid $21.99 for this box using points and codes so it's still worth it to me.  I'll use the Point Pads, hand sanitizer is always useful and the soap can go in the shower.  I'm using the snail (OMG!! Snail!) right on my lips now and it's actually softened them right up!  I don't think I'll use the Vitamin Water sunscreen, though.  If I'm feeling messy and adventurous I might open the little pack of Gelee marmalade and see how it goes.
Still, for a box that was $29 plus shipping?  I'd expected more.

If you think this box looks amazing and you totally want it, you can get three Memepoints added into your account by purchasing it with this link right here!

  1. This box seems kinda heavy on the Pure Smile products. I've never tried anything from that brand, but they do have the cutest packaging. Ahh! So the snail lip treatment doesn't taste bad.. Does that mean you actually tasted it?! You are one brave girl. Thanks for taking one for the team!

    1. Well, I don't know if I could avoid it since it's on my lips! :D I'm trying not to think about it too much. Yeah, it's a lot of Pure Smile :( I really wasn't thrilled with this box. Especially after opening the Fermented Cosmetics which was only $3 more!

  2. I got my box today and I don't love it. I will use the products and that vitamin C serum is the bomb, but this box was a disappointment for me. I feel like it should have been $23. Also, I think with all of the vitamin toting products they have on the website they could have chosen different products/brands. I said it on another blog, but this box felt like an afterthought. Oh well. I will use everything except the soap which I will give away. I don't do lavender. Blech. On to the next Memebox :)

    1. I absolutely agree with you! It should have been $23. I've also thought (more than once for different boxes) that with the choices they have in the Memeshop, they could have done better. I was going to say it was a terrible box but I couldn't because I really will use the items. But it's like you say, it feels like an afterthought.
I know with Mystery boxes like this, you win some and you lose some. That doesn't mean I like it but I accept it and, yes, move on to the next one! :)
Which will be Superfood and K-Spa (hair and body 3) which arrive tomorrow!!! :D

  3. I honestly didn't know there's a Vitamin C for the face until after I saw it on Memebox website. I joined Memebox on the 30th of July so I'm a Meme noob, but have ordered 16 boxes already, plus 1 box that I sent to my sister in Thailand :)
I got my Vitamin Box last week and I've been using the Vita-sauce as part of my nightly skin-care routine. I don't know if it's making any difference, but I'm just happy with the thought that I'm adding some new nourishment to my skin.
I've also been using the Vitamin Sun Cream as my daily suncream when I know that I won't be spending too much time outdoors, otherwise, I use my other 50spf suncream. It pretty much blends well with my skin, dries fast, and is not that sticky, so I kinda like it.
The soap was ok, a little inconvenient to use at first so I rubbed it on my wash cloth to make the edges rounded. It doesn't lather well, though.
I don't know if I'll be brave enough to use the snail lip balm...

    1. Sixteen boxes already! Wow! Your sister is going to love you even more when she gets her box :) Here's a short but informative article about what vitamin c can do for your skin:http://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/anti-aging/_/vitamin-c. It's really good for you!
I was wondering about that soap! It's such a funny shape, I was thinking it would slip out of my hands easily. Maybe if I cut it, it would work better...
I used my Vita Sauce before I got in bed. I like it so far :) Im glad you liked the sunscreen! I have SO much right now so I haven't opened it yet.
      Welcome to Memeland!
