Beauteque Beauty Bag September 2014 + Exclusive Coupon Code

As you may know, I've become hooked on Asian beauty and skincare.  Besides all my Memeboxes, I've been tempted to make purchases on Korean websites but the shipping charges generally keep me from actually buying anything.
Beauteque
Enter Beauteque.  This is a USA based company dedicated to all kinds of Asian skincare, makeup and beauty products.  Their prices are reasonable, shipping is free to US residents with a $35+ order.  They also ship internationally.  Beauteque has the most phenomenal customer service, as well.  Everything I've received has been well packed and arrived quickly.
They carry great brands like Missha, Too Cool For School, Tony Moly, Holika Holika, Skinfood, Etude House, Benton and My Beauty Diary.
I say all that because I want to introduce you to their latest offering-  The Beauteque Beauty Bag!  This is a beauty bag packed with Asian brands.  This is the only US based beauty brand that offers a subscription bag like this (at least that I know of).  Beauteque very sweetly sent me this bag to review.

The Cost: $22 (shipping to Canada add $6, shipping to Europe add $8)

What You Get: Five to six Asian cosmetic products including skincare, make up and tools.  The best thing is that you have an option to choose some of your items!

It reminds me of Ipsy because everything comes in a makeup bag.  It's cute and I love pink.  Everything was inside, it's a pretty roomy bag.  You'll get a new bag every month, too.
Whee!  The unboxing photo!  Look at all that!  When I pulled the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel out of the bag I couldn't believe it! What's not to love?  Okay, maybe eyelashes but...

I have to start with my two favorite things.  First, I mentioned earlier that you get to choose some of the items that will go in your bag when you make your order.  This Holika Holika cleanser was available in Aloe, Acerola, Green Tea or Lemon.  I chose Aloe.

Holika Holika Daily Garden Aloe Cleansing Foam-This is a foam cleanser containing aloe extracts. Aloe is good for acne prone skin because it's a natural anti-irritant and has antiseptic properties.  If you have sensitive skin, aloe should offer you no problems.
Value: $6

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel- This multi-tasking, lightweight moisturizer is formulated with 74% snail extract, the cruelty free, all-natural way to get soft, rejuvenated skin. Fast-absorbing gel moisturizer sinks in quickly for hydrated, clear skin with improved vitality. Non-greasy, alcohol-free formula.
I'm excited to try this.  I've heard and read the rave reviews about Mizon and it's snail system so I'm definitely going to have to incorporate this into my routine.  Somehow, somewhere.

Ingredients: Snail Secretion Filtrate, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether, Dimethylsilane, Polysorbate2-, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carbomer, Glycosyl Trehalose, Hydrogenated Starch Hydolsyate, Triethanolamine, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Caprylyl Glyocol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Camellias Sinensis Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Betula Platylphylla Japonica Juice, Tropolone, Copper Tripeptide-1, Allantoin, Panthenol, Olea Europaea (olive) Fruit Oil, Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) Seed Oil, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA

It's got some good ingredients, too.  Besides the emollients and snail secretion filtrate, there's sodium hyaluronate which means it should be good at moisturizing.  There are antioxidants in the forms of green tea and several other plants, as well.  And, interestingly enough, it's got peptides!  Two kinds and more is always better.  Peptides help rejuvenate your skin and if you ever see them in the ingredient list, it's a good thing.
Value: $9
Skinfood False Eyelashes in Glitter-  I know everyone loves to moan and groan when they see eyelashes in a subscription box.  Personally, I don't mind.  I definitely need practice and what better way than the ones received in bags like this?!  These were another item where you could choose the set you wanted.  There were three choices and I picked "Glitter" sight unseen.  I thought they'd be ridiculous and glittery but they're not.  It's just the name of the style by Skinfood.  It does come with the lash adhesive.
I've been getting the eyelash extensions, which are amazing and wonderful and maybe the best thing ever (except the expense) but I'm resting my lashes right now and I'll have to try these instead.
Value: $5

Beauteque Minerals Cleanser Brush-  This is a pore cleansing brush by Beauteque.  They are branching out into their own line of mineral makeup and tools and we get one in the September bag.  It is to be used with the cleanser of your choice that I mentioned earlier and will help keep your pores clean.  It's so ridiculously soft.
Value: $35
TheFaceShop Cherry Cherry Lips Modeling Gel Patch-This smells so good like cherries!  I had the hardest time getting it out of the package and finally just had to get some scissors.  It's made out of gel and is really slippery.  It wouldn't stay on my mouth unless my head was back and even then I had to adjust it and keep it from slipping.
I cant say it's particularly moisturizing but it is fun.
Value: $2

Its Skin Mini Tint Gloss in Cherry- This was the third product that you could choose the flavor of.  The choices were Cherry, Pink and Mango.  This is made with argan oil, macadamia nut oil and coconut oil to moisturize your lips.  It's got a hint of color and a nice shine to the gloss.
Value: $2

VERDICT:  This bag is a lot of fun.  I'm so happy with the brands included!  It's nice to see the Mizon, Skinfood, Holika Holika and TheFaceShop in this bag.  I'm used to Memebox where the well-known products are mysteriously absent.  Not only that but the pore cleansing brush is a great tool and worth more than the price of the bag itself.  Not including the Pore Brush, the rest of the bag adds up to $24 and is definitely worth it.  The variety is great with a cleanser, moisturizer, and lip gloss.  The eyelashes, lip mask and pore brush really round out the bag and make it completely worth the subscription cost.

I can't wait to see where Beauteque goes with their BB bag and I think they've started off wonderfully.  They also have a shop you can explore and the shipping is fast.

If you would like to subscribe, you will receive this September bag with your 3 choices.  You can sign up here: USA Beauteque Beauty Bag, Canada Beauteque Beauty Bag, European Beauteque Beauty Bag.

If you do choose to sign up, make sure to use this exclusive Bits and Boxes coupon code!  It will get you two free sheet masks added to your bag!  Here it is: BBBAG2-BITSANDBOXES and it is case sensitive so make sure you either copy/paste or have your all caps on. :)

  2. I actually might try on these falsies! They look different from the ones ipsy would always sent out. The pore brush is fantastic. I hope they make this a sub where it is automatic.

    1. I just want to brush the brush aaaall over my face! Forget the cleanser :D Did you get the same ones I did? These are very dramatic but I think it's mostly because I have short, stubby lashes to begin with. I'm glad there was lash glue and I'm definitely going to practice.
