Nina Garcia NGQ04 Updates and Box Contents- Ugh.

Well, suffice to say I'm really disappointed in this Quarterly box.  It feels like it was thrown together and didn't adhere to the themes they were hinting at.

I don't see Winter essentials.  I don't see sparkly.  I don't see any awesome at all.

Here is what you can expect to find in your Nina Garcia #NGQ04 box:

Nude Progenius Treatment Oil-15ml-Our signature ProGenius Omega Treatment Oil has 10 carefully-selected, nutritious plant oils. These replenishing oils are rich in omegas 3, 6, 7 & 9, and provide essential building blocks for youthful, healthy-looking skin. This precisely balanced formula of nutrients quickly absorbs to provide 24-hours of moisture, plump fine lines and reveal a smoother complexion.

Deux Luxe Joplin Circle Messenger Bag-A chic round messenger with a long chain for cross body wear with zipper closure and bohemian swinging fringe.
6.5" x 6.5" x 2"
Chain Strap 21"

Rue Gembon Earrings- I'm assuming there are variations of these statement earrings so the photo is just an example.

The Laundress Sweater Comb-Two fine metal mesh screens on a cedar wood handle gently pick up stray pills while leaving renewed yarns behind.

RGB Nail Polish- 5-free nail lacquer.  Possible variations on this item, too.

Pantone Universe 2013 Color Mug- Possible variations.

Ballin Paris Wool Skullcap- Knit cap.  Possible variations.  As seen on Cara Delvigne, I guess?

VERDICT: Meh.  Pure meh.  Not impressed.  Returning my box.  Thank goodness for the return policy!  I don't mind spending a hundred box on a box of awesome but this is decidedly low brow.

I honestly don't think Nina Garcia actually picked any of these items.  It's just WAY too different from her other boxes to even be considered even close to her style.  She was really busy with Fashion Week and Project Runway so maybe Quarterly just decided to pick for her?

  1. Yeesh.
I haven't purchased one of her boxes before, although there may have been one or two that made me a bit tempted. This one...not so much. There are a few so-so things, but very underwhelming for a $100 box. That bag is just WAY to taste-specific to put in a box like this.

    1. Yeah. After waiting all this time (this box was supposed to ship in September), it was a pretty big let down.

  2. Wow, this is terrible. I never picked up her boxes, but there was always enough stuff that made up for her occasional horrendous choices (muy cool, anyone?). This one, not so much. There is literally not one thing in this box I would want!

    1. Haha! Yes, and the weird plasticky fringed shark clutch... >.< There is nothing in this box I would pay $100 for. I mean, I could use the sweater comb but I'd rather just buy one myself than spend all this on extra junk I have to figure out how to get rid of! I wouldn't even be able to gift any of this!

    1. I don't have a shipping notice yet and I've already emailed to stop shipment if they can. No response yet but others have been able to do it or have been issued return labels. /sigh I didn't cancel my subscription, though. People are saying this might be her last one but I don't know... I'm so thankful for their return policy.
