Popsugar Must Have November 2014 Box Review + Black Friday Gift Deal!

 popsugar november 2014 must have
This is the November 2014 Popsugar box and this is probably the latest I ever remember my Popsugar box arriving! I got it yesterday and I had totally forgotten it was even coming.  I don't mind when it shows up as long as it does but there have been some things Popsugar has been working on to fix since they revamped their website two months ago.  I think shipping times is one of them.
Popsugar is one of my favorite boxes because you get all sorts of things that you won't find in other subscription boxes.  Such as hardcover boxes, huge bags of caramel corn and other goodies of that type.

The Cost: $39.99/month

What You Get: You'll get an exciting monthly box full of fun, full-size products that are hand-selected by the Popsugar editors. Full-size products and premium items in beauty, fashion, home, fitness, and food.

Sorial Saffiano Wallet on a Chain-  This is a blue that I love.  It's supposed to be a wallet but I don't think I would call it that.  I'd call it a small clutch with a ridiculously long chain.  It does not fit my Samsung Galaxy S5 (I do have an Otterbox case on it, though) which is disappointing and basically makes this not worth using.  The chain is VERY long but heavy duty.  There is a zip pocket on the outside back of the wallet.  There are no pockets inside, though, which makes it not really worth it for me.  Still, its a beautiful blue and I'm sure I could use it at some point.  I might remove the chain, though.  That would be super easy to do since it's just hooked to loops on the inside of the bag.
Value: $49
Wine Glass Writer- These are perfect for the holidays.  I'm taking them to Thanksgiving Dinner with me because I think they're fun and will come in handy.  I don't drink wine but I can write on my glass to keep others away from it. :)  These were made especially for Popsugar.
Value: $9.98
Tiny Prints Thoughtful Heart Stationery- Designed by Lisa Sugar and Tiny Prints just for this box.
These are notecards with envelopes.  I think there's ten of them.  They are actually very cute and something I would use.  It also comes with a $25 gift card to Tiny Prints which is pretty awesome.  I better figure out what I did with that.
Value: $15
G.H. Cretors Chicago Mix- Oh my gosh, you guys.  I adore/love/want to marry this stuff.  I got this in a much smaller size in a Love With Food box and snarfed the whole bag.  I looked everywhere for it but couldn't find it anywhere except online and the price was exorbitant so I gave up.
But now.  Here is a whole bag all for me!!  Just kidding.  I'm taking it to Thanksgiving dinner just because I *will* eat the whole bag and I don't want to. Haha!  It's cheddar cheese popcorn and caramel corn mixed together.  The caramel corn pieces melt in your mouth.  They are so good!
Value: $3.69
The Secret Recipes by Dominique Ansel- This is one of the stars of this box.  This is a huge hardcover recipe book by the guy who invented the cronut.  These are dessert recipes of varying complexity.  I am not a great baker but I have a friend who is and this is for her.  She will love it!
Value: $35
K.Hall Simpatico Ambergris Shea Butter Cream- This is a shea butter moisturizer with a sweet, musky scent.  I don't really use body butter so this will be a stocking stuffer for someone super lucky. Sometimes I feel kinda bad about all these body butters I don't use but at least someone else can hopefully get use out of them.  This is expensive cream, too!  I just noticed the price.
Value: $22

VERDICT: Another great Popsugar box!  I thought this was a lot of fun and even though I won't use some of these things myself, they'll make great gifts.  I think I will end up using the wallet because I love the color so much.  Actually, I'll use everything.  Using them for gifts count!  That would be the book and the moisturizer.  Everything else is mine! :D  This box has a retail value of $150 which for $40 is pretty awesome.  Considering the book itself is $35 and is something I would buy anyway (for a gift) this box was a total and complete win for me.

If you would like to sign up for Popsugar, you can do that right here.  Use REFER5 to get $5 off a one month sub or NOV14SELECT to get $10 off a three month sub.

  1. I JUST got mine today! Like oye...thanksgiving and black friday are coming, aint nobody got time to review a box this late in the month, popsugar!!
I liked this box objectively, but I hate the chain on the "wallet" and I hate that it's not a wallet lol. I guess I could fit some money and a lipgloss in there if I'm going somewhere I don't want to take my whole purse, but I was bummed. I desperately need an actual wallet!

The wine markers i won't use, since I'm the only person in my group of friends that even drinks wine! The cookbook is nice but I know I will never use it, so it'll be a gift. Everything else I was happy with. mmm popcorn.

    1. I sort of gave up posting all the deals. There are so many other awesome bloggers out there who are waaay more on top of it than I am :D

So, we used the markers for Thanksgiving and certain people had waaay more fun with them than I had expected! Did you know you can make someone look like they have a moustache while drinking from a glass? Among other things.... Haha!

    2. This year it seems the internet has become a bit too wacko and aggressive with black Friday, Green Saturday, Blue Monday and In-the-Red Tuesday! By email was bursting with deals, Pop Sugar, the bargain of the century! $15 OFF first box, never again in the history of womankind would we see such a deal! OK, I slapped down my money. 12:01 AM next day: Pop Sugar, 50% OFF! That is a difference of $5. They virtually promised the lowest price and then pulled a bait and switch. I'm in for December as I paid, but I have already cancelled by subscription. I'm not being jerked around by beauty boxes, none of this stuff is worth the stress.

    3. You're not kidding!! There has been one other time they did a 50% off a one month sub that I know of. That was in April. Although I've never seen such a good price for the 3 month and 6 month subscriptions!
Still, I hope you love your December box! I'm debating getting another one (I'm already subscribed) using the 50% off code. Several of the items will make good gifts.
I also got bit on a box I bought on Friday only to have it be lower today. Ah, well. And you aren't kidding, it *is* stressful!
