Sudsy Box December 2014 Review- Handmade Soaps in Holiday Scents! Plus Coupon Code!

Sudsy Box is a subscription that sends handmade soap to your home on a bi-monthly basis. Every other month you'll receive seasonally appropriate scented bar soaps plus a little surprise.  Handmade soap is one of my favorite things and is something I enjoy a little splurge on.
I love the natural and unique scents in artisan soaps.  There's just no other way to experience the scent combinations found in handcrafted soap.  Sudsy Box gives you an array of new, delicious and invigorating scents to discover each month when your box is delivered.
Sudsy Box soaps are all natural, free from artificial colors and fragrances and contain no chemical preservatives.  The natural butters and oils are combined with the healthy benefits of both herbs and essential oils.

The soaps that are in Sudsy Box are handcrafted in small batches. (Each batch makes only 18 bars of soap) This small batch artisan approach is created with the highest quality, all natural ingredients that produce a luxurious, moisturizing bar of soap and leaves your skin feeling soft, silky and hydrated. These soaps are naturally rich in Shea and Cocoa butters, Olive Oil and Coconut oil and have the added benefit of essential oils like Lavender, Rosemary, Peppermint, Orange, Lemongrass and more!

The Cost: $20 bi-monthly

What You Get: You will receive three full sized 4 oz. handcrafted, luxurious soaps and a bath or body product. Soaps are blended and scented specifically for the time of the year.

I'm starting with my favorite scent in the box.  Although it's hard to pick a favorite since they all smell fabulous, peppermint is one of those scents I just can't get enough of.

Rosemary Peppermint Green Tea- Enjoy the smell of Rosemary with the uplifting scent of peppermint.  Made with Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Rosemary and Peppermint Essential Oils and Green Tea Leaves.  This is going to wake you up in the shower every morning.  The scent is glorious.  The green tea leaves add a gentle exfoliating benefit as well.
Value: $6
Balsam Fir- This is so perfect for Christmas I don't even want to use it!  I'm putting it the guest bathroom in the soap dish because it smells so good.  It has a fresh, woodsy scent (it smells just like a Christmas tree!) and is colored green with organic superfood, chlorella!  Made with Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Fir Needle and Cedarwood Essential Oils and Chlorella Powder for color.
Value: $6
Honey Almond Oatmeal- Second only to peppermint in my favorite soap scent categories, this Honey Almond Oatmeal soap is a classic.  It has finely ground organic oats to soothe the skin and honey to help seal in moisture.  This soap uses Sweet Almond Oil which is packed with beneficial Omega acids.  It also has oatmeal pressed into the top of the bar!  Made with Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Colloidal Oats and Honey.
Glossy Lip Balm in Peppermint- Wow!  This box read my mind this month! Peppermint! This is a super smooth lip balm that is very hydrating.  It smells very good but doesn't really have a taste which is excellent.  It uses Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter and Beeswax with Peppermint Essential Oil. So perfect and wonderful.  I love it!
Value: $3

VERDICT: Sudsy Box stands to become one of my favorite boxes. I absolutely love handmade soap and prefer it over store-bought any day.  We've been using handmade soaps for awhile now, and I see no reason to stop.  Sudsy Box has added to my collection and the Rosemary Peppermint Green Tea is going in the shower next.  It smells amazing!  I love the lip balm, it's the perfect texture.  I know each month can include something different so it won't always be lip balm.  It could be lotion bars, body butter, sea salt scrubs or anything!

The other great thing about Sudsy Box is that it is the brainchild of Heidi from Heidi's Artisan Soap. She makes and sells her all natural soap lines on her website, Heidi's Artisan Soap but she also sends out these Sudsy Boxes as part of her small batch business.  If you think three soaps isn't going to get you far enough, you can always purchase more right from her shop!  She has all sorts of bath and body goodies that you might be interested in.

In fact, if you missed this box, you can purchase all these scents from her store among others like Orange Cocoa Spice which I'm pretty sure I absolutely can't live without.

If you would like to sign up to receive your own Sudsy Box, you can do that right here.  If you sign up by December 15th, you will get this exact box!  These boxes will arrive every two months to pamper and indulge your skin and nose.  If you decide to sign up, make sure you use code DEC20 to get 20% off your first box!  Your first box would be $16 and that is a deal!

*This box was sent to me for review purposes.  That in no way colors my opinions.  I think this box is fantastic and I adore handmade soap.

  1. I've had a Heidi's subscription for 6 months. This little business epitomizes all the good things of traditional Americana home-crafted goods. Yet they are keenly educated about the latest in natural and artisan ingredients and production techniques. The small operation is managed with loving-care and respect for customers. They also donate big boxes of soap to a few causes (not weird causes either). Although a box is $20, and worth it, it's bi-monthly so that is a financial outlay of only $10 per month. I am happy in particular with the unusual flavors, sometimes I wonder if this is for washing or eating!

    1. I agree! For what you get, it's a great deal. Handcrafted soap is never cheap and these bars are a great size and totally worth it. Plus the scents are to die for. I think it's a good idea to do it bi-monthly as well because just as you are about to run out, another box comes!

  2. thank you so much! Nothing makes me happier knowing that my products are pleasing others! I love what I do and hearing from satisfied customers like yourself makes me love it even more!!
