Memebox Haul of Fame Remix and Giveaway with Bits and Boxes!

 Memebox Sale
I'm a pretty vanilla type when it comes to makeup.  Give me black or brown liner and my neutral eyeshadow palette with my shades of rose or mauve lipstick and I'm perfectly at ease.

But Memebox and Tracy at Fan-b have conspired to get me out of my comfort zone and challenge me to try some new things.  So, here I am with a collection of items I've got to use and pass judgement on.
Lucky for me, Tracy has exceptional taste and she knows I live for skincare.  Her choices were out of the ordinary and definitely interesting.  I'm excited to show them to you.
You may have noticed that Memebox has come out with their own line of makeup.  This Haul has two products from their new collections.  The I'm EyeShadow and the I'm Lipstick.  You'll find these products under the XO Memebox tab near the top of the page on their site. There's a lot of them but for now I'm just giving you a taste of the two.
Also included in my Haul is a Clio Gelpresso eyeliner, a Lioele Snail Mask and (be still my heart) an LJH moisturizer of surpassing awesomeness.

I've been curious about these lipsticks! My first experience with this I'm Lipstick by Memebox got me completely hooked and I had to get more. (So I did, more on that later).  This is a rich, beautiful shade of red.  A true red with not even a hint of orange.  It's absolutely gorgeous.
Since I've used both this lipstick and a lip crayon, the main difference is that the lipsticks are more of a velvet-matte and the lip crayons are glossy.  I'm very happy with both the I'm Lipstick and I'm Lip Crayon both in color payout and formula.
This Memebox I'm Lipstick glides on with power-packed pigmentation.

You want to be noticed?  Wear this!

It's unbelievably moisturizing as well, and that effect lasts for hours.

The only drawback is that it transfers to your glass or your food or anything you touch even after a long period of time. I used a kleenex over my lips and then patted powder over it and that took care of it.

This color also leaves a nice tint to your lip if you wear it off eating.  It's not as bright at that point but you've still got great lip color.
It's a big bang for your buck, I'll say that right now.
There are currently six of these lipsticks available.  Here are the official swatches for all the colors.
I also got the Pink Beige Nude.  It has the same great formula but it doesn't have quite the color payoff that the Spirited Red does because it's a nude.  It works well with my skintone.

This is now one of my new favorite LJH product.  The box comes with three tubes of cream that are like toothpaste tubes.  You can roll them up from the bottom to make sure you get every last drop.

This is what I would call a "watery gel cream" in kbeauty talk.  It's an opaque white, very light moisturizer.  If you have oily skin you're going to love this.  I have combination skin with dry cheeks and an oily T-zone and I have had zero issues with the cream over the last two weeks.

It's so light that my cheeks need an additional, heavier moisturizer, especially in the cold weather but I almost want to hoard this until summer.  Instead I'll just have to buy more. It's already in my Memebox cart.
This cream is made with some unusual ingredients.  The primary one being Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract.  Yes.  I didn't know what that was either so I had to look it up.  It's a strain of bacteria found in the mud of King George Island.  In Antarctica. Hence the name of this moisture cream.

Here is what Truth in Aging says about the P.Antarctica:

"It is a peptide that is classified as a protein derivative, and contains the following three amino acid residues: glycine, histidine and lysine. It is used in a number of anti-aging products because of its ability to regenerate and protect the skin by retaining moisture and water, heal wounds, increase collagen and elastin production, and improve hydration."

Studies show that this P.Antarctica can increase collagen and elastin production by over 30%.  It's important for me to note that these studies were done by the company that promotes it so they aren't exactly independent or without bias.

I don't really measure my wrinkles; I'm only 37 so I don't have anything significant to compare a before and after with anyway.  I just love how gentle it is, how soft it makes my skin, how easily it applies and it keeps my skin hydrated without causing havoc in my T-zone.
My new HG?  Quite possibly.  I've already emptied one tube and am on the the second. Good thing it comes with three tubes in the package.  Still... More will be on the way to me shortly.

On Sale in a Set for $30 (There's only 2 left at this actually amazing price.  Otherwise you have to search the internet and go to places koreadepart or the Qo010 place which I've never shopped at).

I had been drooling over some Stila golden eyeshadows so when I saw this I was thrilled. Not only that but it is another Memebox Beauty product to test out.

The first time I tried this, I didn't use a primer and it was a complete glitter bomb.  There was glitter everywhere.  Not just on my eyelids but on my face, my hands, my counter, my computer, etc.
This is a very fine micro-glitter and if you want to be glittery, this shadow is just the thing for you.
I did have a few problems with it.  It's not really pigmented. It's mostly glittery.  A soft eyeshadow brush isn't going to pick much of this up.  You need stiff bristles in order to transfer an amount to get pigment.  Which I don't really recommend because by then it's so much that glitter is everywhere.
I'm not going to say I'm an eyeshadow pro or anything (because I'm not) but I think this is mainly something to use over your already applied shadow if you want a bit of glimmer.  Or a lot, actually. The fall out is pretty bad even when I used a primer, I still ended up with a dusting on my cheeks after a few hours.

This swatch is four swipes using my finger, not a brush.  The first brush wouldn't pick a single thing up (an It Cosmetics shadow brush), the second brush with stiffer bristles (an e.l.f. contour brush) picked up the shadow but would only swipe glitter.  My finger was the only thing that actually transfered color rather than just glitter.
Here's a photo from Memebox of this "golden caramel with subtle sparkle"
Needless to say this was not my favorite but when I need to be glittery, I know where to get it!

Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil in Beige Shine

The Clio liners are something I've heard many, many good things about for awhile now.  This is my first chance to try one for myself and I have to admit that the rumors are true.  This glides on perfectly with the barest touch.  It also does not budge so you if you want to smudge, you better do it quick.
I use this color on my water line to brighten up my eyes.  I have small eyes (sigh) and so I'm always looking for ways to make them look a little bigger.

Lining them with a shimmery nude like this gives me just a little bit of an edge since it makes my eyes look like they open wider than they do.  If there's a technical term for that, I don't know what it is. :)

This is a fantastic, creamy gel liner and it's already been incorporated into my daily routine.  I'm wearing it now, in fact.  It's so easy to use. It just twists up and there's a sharpener at the opposite end, as well.
I'm thinking that I need the Purple and the Jade colors now...

Value: $22 (although they have the whole set including Purple, Jade, Beige Shine, Golden Black and Dark Choco- mini sizes, not full sizes but fun for $38 HERE)
On Sale for $16

It's no secret that I love masks so I used this right away.  Plus, well... Snail!  I've fully overcome my horror of snail slime being included in beauty products.  After my skin success with the Benton High Content Snail Bee Essence, all I wanted was More Snail.
I like Lioele and I've never actually used one of their sheet masks!  Normally I go for My Beauty Diary when I'm sheet mask hunting.  If you want a juicy mask, My Beauty Diary is where it's at.

This Time Reversing Mask has centella extract, witch hazel, rosemary extract, aloe vera leaf extract, chamomile extract, and green tea extract.
It's packed with antioxidants, aloe for soothing, snail slime for moisturizing and encouraging collagen production plus it also has both arbutin and adenosine for brightening your complexion and fading dark spots.

The mask isn't as juicy as some and is cottony on one side and gel on the other.  You stick the gel side to your face (and it sticks!) and leave it there for 20 minutes.  I didn't notice any dramatic results but I liked how it stuck to my face.  I think I wish it was juicier, though.
Value: $3
Get it here!

CONCLUSION: I have to say that this was a very fun experiment.  Thanks to Tracy at Fanserviced-b I found my new favorite moisturizer in the LJH P. Antarctica Moisture Cream. I'm going to be buying more from my own sale! :D Although, I'm not sure why things are already sold out and it just began...  Hopefully that gets fixed! At least make sure to add the items you want to your Wishlist so that Memebox will order more.  I want to buy more of the LJH cream!
I also am really impressed with the staying power of the Clio Gelpresso liners and think that I want that set of minis, too.  While the I'm Eyeshadow 14K Gold didn't impress me, I do have some of the other eyeshadows from their line that I like better and the I'm Lipstick is straight up stellar.

All of these items are on sale now and you can see them all on the Memebox Haul of Fame by Bits and Boxes!

As always, if you make a purchase make sure to use coupons!!  Check my Memebox Deals page for all the lastest releases, coupons and general Memeformation!

    1. The lipstick is fantastic! I just got word that the LJH cream won't be part of the giveaway because they've got such low stock. I'm SO bummed about that because it's seriously wonderful.

  8. I haven't tried the Memebox eyeshadow singles yet, but you might have better luck if you try to apply it wet. Just a guess though! I never noticed that cream before (unassuming packaging?) but it sounds all kinds of awesome. Yay!

    1. I'll have to try it that way. It's not a bad color it just refuses to stay put. Maybe I need some of eyeshadow glue. But then it becomes too much work :D Tracy found the cream and I'm addicted. I am unhappy that Memebox couldn't honor it as part of the giveaway but I already bought more for myself (thank you, memepoints).

  9. All great picks! I would choose the Lioele Snail Mask (I love anything snail), Clio Gelpresso liner and I'm Lipstick. I have yet to try any of Memebox's own makeup but I have been looking at their new palette because I love shimmer, just not all over my computer :). (Jessica@luxeandthelady)

    1. Hey Lady! I am much more pleased with their lip products than their eyeshadows. I'm kind of in love with snail myself although I would have never imagined that ten months ago when I first hopped on this kbeauty train.

  10. Sad face about the LJH cream but it sounds magical. I want to meet this King George and ask if he has any more special mud reserves. I haven't tried any of the I'm products yet but the pink beige nude lip color looks like something I'd snatch up in an instant because I'm unbelievably blah when it comes to makeup + adventures.

    1. I wonder if King George was ever even IN Antarctica... Maybe I should feel special that I can smear Arctic mud bacteria on my face? Although, snail still sounds worse and I can't help loving it...
I had the BIGGEST sad face when they told me about the cream. :( But at least I talked them into allowing the winner to pick three items instead :D

    1. I figure one of the best things I've ever done is get over the "Ick!" factor of snail slime. Who knew something so gross would make my skin so happy?!

  14. I'd choose the eyeliner, lipstick, and snail mask! I'm an eyeliner addict (I feel this is necessary, as a Chinese girl), the lipstick seems really awesome, and sheet masks + snails? Yes.

  15. Hello! I think I would choose the Clio gelpresso (i've been wanting to try them!), the I'M EYESHADOW, and the I'M LIPSTICK. hehe. I already have snail sheet masks, so I think that would be nice. :D

  16. Memebox Lipstick would definitely be in my picks. I'm not sure which shade I would choose yet- probably one of the two you have since they're close to what I like color-wise. I'd also be happy to get the Lioele Time Reversing Snail Mask because who doesn't love Lioele and snails?! ;) and obviously the Clio Gelpresso Eyeliner- I've heard so many good things so I'd love to try it out!

    1. I want the Clio Gelpresso in Jade and Purple SO much! And I prefer blue tone reds so much more than orange ones so this lipstick was perfect for me. My husband said "Wow, that's bright!" and I just smiled and said "I know." It's pretty great :D

  21. i would love the lipstick. I just realized I'm such an eyeliner, eyeshadow hoarders that I actually only have 2 lipsticks in which is more like a tinted lip balm. I need to get in on that soon

  22. I would choose the liner, the shadow and the lippie...because, honestly, you can NEVER have too many lippies, and I've been eyeing up the Memebox ones since they debuted! I don't know if I'd gold bold or stay safe with my color, however...it will depend on my mood, I guess.
