Scentbird Monthly Perfume Subscription and Coupon Codes

Scentbird is a new subscription service that delivers an 8ml purse spray to your door once a month.
I don't use perfume regularly enough to justify spending quite a bit of money on some of my favorites but this is the perfect thing for me.  It's the right size, I can take it anywhere.  It's the right amount of perfume to last me awhile but also allows me to save money while enjoying old favorites and trying new ones.

The Cost: $14.95/month

What You Get: Each month you will receive one 8ml purse spray of the scent of your choice based on your profile.  The first month, you will receive the case for the perfume and a carrysack for it.

Your Scentbird perfume will arrive in a black bubble wrap envelope.  It's small enough to fit in any mailbox or sit unobtrusively on your porch.  It's a heavy duty envelope to protect the glass vial inside.
Your first shipment will have this sleep black case holding your perfume.  You will only receive one of these.  I'm hoping that they will offer an add-on option to acquire more of the cases.  Especially for people like me who may not go through a whole bottle at once.
Until then, it's really easy to swap out your perfume vials.
The spray is part of the perfume vial which drops inside the black case.  Twist the case and the sprayer nozzle sinks down.  Twist again and it comes back up.  This means there is no chance of it spraying anywhere inside your handbag or pocket or wherever you decide to keep it.
To swap out your perfume vial, twist the case up, pull on the sprayer head and voila! You can put a new one in!

This month I chose Marc Jacobs Dot.  Next month I plan to get Dior Poison!  For $14.95, I get exactly the right amount of perfume for me and I get to try a whole bunch of new ones.

Scentbird has a profile for you to fill out in order to help you find new perfumes.  Fill out each page on whether you prefer floral or spicy or clean or smokey.  That kind of thing.  Then they'll search their database of over 350 perfumes to come up with new selections for you.

Here is what they chose for me after I put in my preferences:

The fragrances they sell are authentic.  In order to sell authentic perfumes, you must place a disclaimer where purchasers can see it.  As long as the disclaimer is there, it is absolutely acceptable to disperse fragrance from large drams into these smaller purse sprays!

The convenience of these sprays is undeniable.  No longer do I need to take my large bottles with me on trips or evenings out.  This is a size that will fit into any clutch and is smaller than a cellphone.

If you'd like to sign up for Scentbird and get your own purse spray, you can do that right here.  You'll sign up, take the survey or choose your own favorite and it'll be sent to you soon.

Use coupon code BIRD50 to save 50% off your first month.  If that doesn't work (because I'm not sure of that expire date), use SCENT25 to get 25% off.  Pretty sweet deal.  I was able to use the 50% off code and got my Marc Jacobs purse spray for $7.50.  I'm very happy with it!

  1. I love Scentbird! I also love Marc Jacobs Dot, it's in my queue right now (and so is Dior Poison). I love that they have so many high quality perfumes at such an affordable price.

    1. It's genius! I just need them to offer a way to get another case. I'm already looking forward to February for my Poison. Have you ever tried the Thierry Mugler Alien? I'm considering moving it up in my queue... I thought I'd ask since you seem to have the same perfume preferences as I do :)

  2. I just got my first month of this sub and I loveeee it. I got my all-time favorite perfume, Dior Addict. I really love Dior Poison, but I think I prefer Hypnotic Poison between the two. I'm a HUGE Dior perfume fan, if you haven't noticed LOL

I also love Thierry Mugler perfumes, although I thought I would like Alien way more than I did. I obsessed over it for months because I thought it would be a holy grail perfume for me, but I signed up for the Thierry Mugler subscription a while back and got some Alien samples, and for some reason, it just REEKS of like...black licorice or something to me. It just has a very bitter scent that I can't get behind. I do really love TM's Angel, though!

    1. Hmm... I don't think know I put Addict on my list. I should do that. Maybe I'll bump up Hypnotic ahead of Alien... I like to eat licorice but I don't know if I want to smell like it.
Thanks for your input! *goes to play with queue*
