Little Lace Box February 2015 Review and Coupon Code

Little Lace Box is a lifestyle and fashion subscription box.  This February 2015 is my first box so I was very excited about it.  It's hand-curated by three sisters with an eye for fashion and little luxuries. I have seen past reviews and been impressed with the eclectic contents.  There is usually a theme however they seem fairly loosely applied.  You really just never know what you'll end up with.  This months theme was "The Lovers, The Dreamers and Me."
This box comes with an informational page describing why they've chosen what they did.  It turns out that this month there were some issues with suppliers.  The winter storms in the East have caused problems for the box contributors so this box is apparently not what they had expected to send. It's definitely a stranger mix than I was expecting!

The Cost: $39.95/month

What You Get: Little Lace Box promises high-end, brand name beauty, lifestyle, and home product samples to treat yourself with.

It turns out that there were several variations of this box.  While I'm not really a fan of variations in boxes, I understand that the nature of this particular box lends itself well to surprises and treats.  This is the list of options you might receive.  The earrings vary and there is a possibility of a bracelet. There is also a variation in the bath/spa item as well.
Beekman 1802 Bling Bath Salts- This is a tin of bath salts (a whopping 20oz!) with glitter.  I'm not sure that glitter in the bathtub is a good idea but I was game until I cracked the lid.  Hello, lavender, my nemesis!  That dang lavender allergy strikes again!  This is a pretty hefty tin and will make a GREAT gift so it's okay that I can't keep it.  It's made with pure powdered goat milk and coarse sea salts to soften skin and moisturize.
Value: $15

Dancing Goat Skin Care Hula Bliss Hand and Body Lotion-  Active enzymes, probiotics, and lactic acid make this concentrated lotion ideal for all skin types. Hula Bliss Lotion is paraben- and sulfate-free, and does  not contain any synthetic preservatives. Contains the relaxing fragrance of lavender, rosemary, and eucalyptus.  Aaand one more thing I can't use.  If only lavender didn't do it's best to asphyxiate me! /cry
Value: $4
Beekman 1802 Original Fudge Sauce- Hot fudge sauce made with goat milk.  There are a couple versions you could receive.  I'm secretly jealous of the ones who got the Orange fudge sauce.  I don't really use fudge sauce since I don't eat ice cream.  I suppose I could eat it plain but I already have a different awesome fudge sauce that I'm not eating sooo...  giftie it is!
Value: $12

P.Press Paper Stationary- Heavy cardstock notecards with a pink arrow on the front and pink stripes on the back.  This is a package of 8 cards and envelopes.
Value: $11.99
Whitley Designs Triangle Studs-  These are not found on their website but I'm going to guess that they are sterling silver since it seems to be prominent in what they do have available and the earring backs say Sterling925 on them.  These are very dainty and pretty.  I am a little concerned about their longevity because both posts were bent and I had to push them back straight.  The retail value seems pretty high for what these are.
Value: $54.99

VERDICT:  I liked this box but I didnt LOVE it.  I had used a coupon which made the box $29.99 and I felt it was worth it for a trial run.  I think part of the problem was that this wasn't the box the curators wanted it to be and that means they had to put something in to fill out the box that didn't fit. Of course part of my problem is that I'm allergic to two items in the box. Which stinks.  Literally, haha!

Unfortunately, Little Lace Box is on a wait list for the month of March.  I do highly suggest that you head to their website, create an account and add the box to your wishlist so you can receive an email when it goes back on sale.  I'm assuming that won't happen until April 1st.  When you sign up, use code LLB10 to get $10 off your first box!

I'm staying subscribed because I'd still like to get a box that has exactly what the curators wanted in it so I'm sticking it out for March!
