Love With Food February 2015 Deluxe Box Review

This is my very first Love with Food Deluxe Box!  My new subscription starts with February 2015 and it's three months long.  I got this for an amazing Groupon Deal and I think I paid just $22 for all three months! Currently, the deal is still available, too!  I try really hard to get deals for my subscription boxes because saving money is awesome but having content for this blog and saving money is SUPER awesome!

It's becoming my cliche but I really do love Love with Food.  With nearly a year of subscribing under my belt, I can honestly and without reservation say that this is a wonderful subscription.  If you are looking for an awesome gift or snack box for yourself, I whole heartedly recommend this.  I got my mom a 3 month gift subscription and she loved it so much.  She would call me when she got her box and tell me her favorite things and anything she thought was horrible.

The Cost: $19.95/month (or you can get the regular Tasting Box for $10 + $2 shipping)

What You Get: 16-20 new snacks each month. Snacks are either organic or all-natural, GMO-free, gluten-free or free of artificial junk. (The regular Tasting Box has 8+ snacks)

The Deluxe Box is huge.  I would venture to say that it's more than double the size of a regular box and it came with so much that I can happily (and not begrudgingly) share with DH and have some leftovers for a week.

The theme this month is Mardi Gras and they've even included some beads! So funny.  Other than that the themes are pretty loose association.  They always have a theme but most of the time they don't really make much sense.  It doesn't matter, though, because... Snacks!

Dolcetto Petites Lemon Wafer Bites- These are crispy wafer pockets with a lemon creme filling.  I just got the chocolate version of these in the Something Snacks box!  I like wafer cookies and there's two bags of these! Yay!

Dilettante Toffee Crunch Truffle Cremes- If only these were dark chocolate!!  I love Dilettante chocolates.  I think they're from Seattle, too.  I've been to their original store and nearly wept with chocolate happiness.  I had a sundae and the best hot chocolate of my life there.   I should go back. :D

Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning- Oh, well, this is Mardi Gras!  I like this seasoning and I don't mind the packets.  I can't really use up one of the big jars they sell at the store fast enough because I have so many other spices I also use.
Boulder Canyon Olive Oil Potato Chips- I have to admit I'm not really a fan of this brand. However, after trying them, I think they must have improved since I first encountered them.  These are kettle chips, thick and extra crunchy.  They don't taste like olive oil, thankfully.  Not bad at all, I have to admit.

Bacon's Heir Rosemary and Sea Salt Pork Clouds- We just got these in a Mantry and DH loves them.  I think they taste too much like rosemary but he likes them.
Snikiddy Baked Mac n Cheese Puffs-  Imagine that there are two bags of these in the photo.  I ate one already. :)
I've had something from Snikiddy before from Love with Food.  I can't remember what it was but I was happy when I saw this brand again so I must have liked it.  These are quite tasty!  There are are not nearly enough in these bags so thank goodness there are two.  If you've ever had the Barbara's Bakery Cheese Puffs, these are very similar.  Barbara's are better, but these are tasty, too.

Mrs. Thinsters Cookie Thins- These are super thin, crunchy cookies that taste like cake batter. Which,  they should, sort of since they're made out of cookie dough.  They're delicious!  These are made without corn syrup, artificial flavors or colors.  Maybe a little too crumbly but definitely tasty.
Monbana Traditional Hot Chocolate- French hot chocolate? Yes, please!  And thankfully there is two packets so if I love it I don't have to be too sad after I finish my first one.  Oh, this is very good chocolate.  It's serious chocolate, too.  Use it with milk, it's better than with water.  I added a smidge of sugar and a little vanilla just to see the difference.  It's good both ways. Very, very chocolatey.

Divine Chocolate Milk Chocolate Minis- These are fair trade chocolates from beginning to end. I'm not a fan of milk chocolate so these are going to my mom.  She is going to be so happy when she sees the chocolate stash I'm bringing her.

Rise Bar in Organic Blueberry Coconut and Almond Honey- Two little bars of two bites each. The flavors sound good and I can eat them!!  They use whey protein not soy!  Woohoo!  Can't wait to try these.  I'd eat them right now if the very thought of food didn't sound so unappealing.  Being sick stinks!

VERDICT: I don't know if I can go back to the regular box!  This is a veritable dragon's hoard of tasty treats and snacks!  I just can't stop loving this subscription!  If you get the Deluxe version of the box, you will get a few extra items that the regular box doesn't get, as well as doubles of some of the products.  I like it!  I'm so glad I have six months worth of Deluxe box subscritions!

I got a Groupon for the first three months and then a couple months later Groupon ran another Love with Food deal and I snagged another 3 month deluxe subscription. I did make sure that the second voucher was good until April so that it wouldn't expire before I needed to use it.  I don't want to get two Love with Food boxes if I don't have to (not that I don't love my boxes but I want to stretch my subscription as long as possible).  You can snag the same Groupon deal I did, right here!

If you want to try Love With Food but without a huge committment, you can get your first box for only $2 shipping right here!!  That means you can try it out then cancel if it's not for you and you've only spent $2.  But I warn you, that's how I started and look at me now!  It's been a year of great boxes and I'm super happy with my decision to extend it over and over.

Don't forget this makes a great gift! Also, if you fill out reviews for each item in your box online, you will get points.  The points can then be used to buy items from their shop. It's limited mainly to things that have appeared in their previous boxes which is nice if there is something you love.  Save up your points and get it for free!

They also have a Gluten Free box if you're interested and you can get that box for 50% off with this link!

  1. I reallly loved this box!! I was not a fan of the pork rinds though- they literally made me gag when I opened and smelled the bag. Way too much rosemary for my liking! The Dilettante chocolates were so good I could cry! LOL

  2. Sarah, we are like Subscription Twins. NO kidding. :)
I had always wondered about Love With Food.. I signed up with Groupon to get the deal. :)

Sadly, I won't get Feb. box but will start with March. I also gave LWF your blog review URL. I think it's a wonderful review!!!
Thank you for enabling me in so many ways with wonderful new subs and deals. :)
