Memebox Boxing Day #2 Review Unboxing

I bought this Memebox Boxing Day #2 in a recent restock and was really happy that I was so on the ball.  Actually, it was a total fluke because I was just adding things to my wishlist  and while I was fussing with it, Boxing Day #2 became available.  Totally unexpected but I popped that baby in my cart and checked out so fast I didn't even use a coupon.  Restocks are like that.  You gotta be fast.

This box was $12 plus $6.99 shipping and is probably the cheapest Memebox I've ever seen.  Even the Mini's were $15.  Although I think those may have had free shipping... Hm.  Anyway, I knew what I was getting since the box had already been out for some time and I wanted it.  It was touted as being the "sample" box, and it is, but there was one full size Mise en Scene product which many people love.
Mise En Scene Perfect Repair- I believe this is an Amore Pacific brand and it is very popular. Since I have never been a big fan of hair products, I've traded and sold all mine.  When I started hearing the rave reviews I was a little sad I had done that but now I've got one of my own to try. Whee!  This is a conditioner, not a shampoo.

Ryo Anti-Hair Loss Treatment- As I said, I don't use most of the hair products I receive in any of my boxes.  The other bad thing is that I can't get on the Memebox website and this particular box did not come with an information card.  Although... I bet Tracy has the card up somewhere on her site... And she does! This doesn't say it's a shampoo or a conditioner.  It says apply to wet hair and rinse. Use daily.
SevenDrops High Protection Moringa Daily SPF50++ Sunblock- This is just a small sample size but it packs a punch with an SPF of 50.   Its a very lightweight sunblock with moringa extracts. I like the texture because I find so many sunblocks are waaay too thick.  The label says this is a 100% naturally derived formula and is extremely gentle to all skin types and free of paraben, mineral oil, benzophenone, silicon, and talc.
For some reason the scent of this takes me back to my teens when we used to vacation at a ski resort in Colorado during the summer.  It is so strange the things scents can bring to mind!

Derma:B Fresh Moisture Body Lotion- This has appeared in several Memeboxes and I've traded away a few of different sizes.  I just don't use body lotion.  Here's the blurb: A nourishing body lotion targeting dry and sensitive skin types. It’s infused with tea tree, peppermint, bergamot, ginger, and amber notes in a refreshing herbal blend. Its gentle formula is non-sticky, fast-absorbing, and best kept refrigerated.  Wait... Refrigerated?!  It smells good but I wonder why the refrigeration is recommended...

Witch's Pouch Radiant Lollitint-  Would you laugh if I told you that this little sample is one of the main reasons I got this box?  Well, it's true.  Because I can't find this anywhere else and I love the one I have and will be sad when it's gone.  This is a pretty pink color not horrifying, not orange and I like the formula a lot.
Tony Moly BCDation all master SPF 30++ Base Cream- I have one of these already but I actually like it.  It's not my favorite ( I like Missha Perfect Cover and the Hanhui better) but it's certainly serviceable.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz CC Cream- I'm actually not a fan of this CC cream.  It's a little too on the "dewy" side for me.  I prefer to be matte and add my own highlights.

Hanskin Bio Origin Royal Ampoule BB Cream- Packed with rich nutritients from royal jelly extracts and it lightly glides over your skin when applied, leaving a visibly silkier, brightened complexion.
I have no idea why they put this in a dropper.  If you love this it seems like half the product will be wasted, stuck to the sides of the jar where you can't reach them!  I haven't tried this one yet, though I've received it in a few Memeboxes.  That's because I got them in earlier Memeboxes before I knew that BB creams were awesome.  So now I finally have another chance to try this with a more open mind.
Banila Co. Claypatra Mineral Salt Clay Pack- The 100% pure mud extracted straight from the Dead Sea (consists 32% of salt and minerals) effectively removes any excess sebum, oil, dead skin cells, and external pollutants clogged up in the pores.
There are two of these which is awesome.  What's not awesome is that my skin hates it.  One pot is good for two uses and both times I tried it, I ended up with little tiny bumps on my skin.  There's probably a word for what those are but I don't know it. So, I won't be using the rest even though I love the idea.

Dr. Young Anti-Pore Cleansing Gel-This gel-type deep cleanser penetrates deep down into pores to remove all excess oil, dirt, impurities, and sebum clogged up inside. A blend of morus bark, agrimonia eupatoria root extracts, and lime extracts deliver gentle yet effective sebum control and pore care. It’s oil-free, lightweight, and moisturizing as well.
This smells AMAZING! I wish I could drink it...  It's a clear gel cleanser and it leaves my skin SO soft.  I love it.

Banila Co Clean It Zero Minis in Original And Resveratrol-  A sherbet-like balm and transforms into a silky oil that effortlessly dissolves makeup and sunscreen. Its non-greasy, gentle formula made from papaya, acerola, and herbal extracts cleanse thoroughly without dehydrating the skin.
My first foray into oil cleansers has been this Banila Co. Clean it Zero.  I love getting the minis because they're so perfect for travel, my handbag, and fitting in the little drawers I use to hold my ridiculous amount of product.
I admit I was so tentative about slather oil on my face but I've tried it and I like it! It's solid(ish) to start out with but it melts once it hits your skin and as you massage it over your face.  It washes of clean and leaves my skin nice and soft.  My favorite is the Resveratrol one because it smells so good.

VERDICT: Awesome Memebox for a great price!  Super happy to have some of these and I'm so glad I got the chance to snag one.  Memebox needs to make more boxes like this.  There are several products in here I love already (or have loved in the past and wanted more of) so this is a winning box for me no matter what.

As for Memebox itself, I'm very disappointed in their decision to dump International shipping.  I'd like to believe it's just a dysfunctional relationship but I have a feeling they're going a little Taylor Swift and they're never, ever getting back together again.

I am planning a few consolation giveaways for my Memebox loving readers once the break up is final and some new boxes come out.  The goal is to allow a winner to choose any box they want from what is available and I will mail it out to the winner once it reaches me.  Hopefully, that works.

The Memebox International shop is pretty much empty now.  The USA shop has some value sets and there are Memeboxes left that are available for International Memebox lovers.  If you are outside of the US, you must place your order by February 13th.

I don't have any current coupons for February but you can see the few that are available on my Memebox Deals page.

  1. The Ryo treatment is meant to be used after you shampoo. It's a good treatment to try if you have issues with flaky scalp... I guess that's not very exciting, but it seems to be working for me. Anyway if you're desperate for more of the Witch's Pouch tint they do seem to have a Korean website... you would probably have to use a proxy service to buy and ship it to you though. Here:

    1. Hmm... No flakes for me, thankfully! Good to know it's a conditioner because I would totally have thought it was a shampoo. I've never used a proxy service. Thanks for the link! I might have to bite the bullet when I run out.
