Memebox Mystery Box Leaders Edition

When Memebox released a Leaders Mystery Box, I was a little hesitant.  I mean, they just screwed over the whole world, right?  Am I supposed to still love them?  I know I'm still one of the "lucky" ones that can order from them since I'm in the USA but I still have a lingering resentment over how the whole thing was handled.

But after realizing that Leaders has some of the best masks in the kbeauty industry, I decided to take the plunge.  And secretly hope that there was something other than masks in this box.  Leaders Insolution does have a USA presence and it's possible that's why we are getting a branded box like this.

Normally, I have stayed away from branded boxes because the value hasn't been there.  This box was $25 and I added a Missha Strawberry Cleansing Foam to my order to get the free shipping over $30 deal that's available.
So, what do I think of this box?  Well, Leaders is a great brand and I do love masks so I can't complain.
All the masks in this box are Coconut Hydrogel.  I prefer this kind of mask because I feel it sticks better to my face.  These are made out of naturally fermented coconut juice which contains Vitamin B and C.  The gel adheres to your face and has natural soothing and hydrating properties.

None of these masks contain alcohol, artificial coloring, parabens or mineral oil.  I don't have a problem with mineral oil but I know many people do so I'm mentioning it.

Leaders Insolution Coconut Gel Mask with Orange- This mask has coconut juice infused with orange extract.  Citrus has vitamin C and alpha hydroxy acids that can help brighten and smooth your skin. If you have sensitive skin, please consider that citrus extracts can be an irritant for some.

Leaders Insolution Coconut Gel Mask with Tomato- This mask contains Lycopene which is found in tomatoes.  Lycopene helps strengthen the protective barrier and lock moisture in.  I always thought tomatoes were acidic.  Since I've been dabbling with pH balances, I wondered what this one was.  I checked it and it looks to be a 5.5 so that's perfect!
Leaders Insolution Balancing Recovery Mask- Using  AC-fensine ingredients, this mask will help balance your skin, control oil, soothe irritation and prevent redness.  Hm... Maybe I should start with this one instead.  I'm working on my redness issues.

Leaders Insolution Coconut Gel Brightening Recovery Mask-  This mask will help your skin regain luminosity and shine.  Besides niacinamine, which will help even out your skintone, this mask is packed with antioxidants and moisturizing ingredients.  I think I'm going to start with this one!
Leaders Insolution Lifting Recovery Mask-  This mask is supposed to improve elasticity and the appearance of fine lines.  I don't see anything that can really do that other than the moisturizing agent glycerin but this does have a LOT of peptides which is awesome.  Peptides are something you should always look for in your skincare products.  While they aren't magic, they will help keep your skin moisturized and they also appear to have the ability to help the skin regenerate.  I'll take it!

Leaders Insolution Moisturizing Recovery Mask-  This mask has moisturizing peptides for long-lasting hydration.  Perfect for dry, rough skin.  Well, my skin has been pretty dry so I've been using oil on it and it's been loving it.  I bet it will love this even more.

VERDICT:  While I was hoping for a toner or moisturizer from the Leaders line to be included, I was aware that it would be mostly masks.  Leaders masks are expensive and getting ten for $25 is actually a great deal.  They're usually $4-5 a piece.  I'm pleased with the ingredients lists for all of these.  Whether they will do exactly as they promised is debatable, of course, but the ingredients leave very little to be desired.  Lots of antioxidants, peptides and moisturizers.  Niacinamide in several of them, as well.  I can't wait to put these into rotation.

  1. I just got this too! I was wondering if everybody got the same mask varieties, and it looks like the answer is yes. A good box overall, though I would have loved to get two of those moisturizing masks.

    1. Woohoo! I haven't seen any variations yet so you must be right. I'm pretty pleased with it. I have to admit I was thinking with the prices Memebox has set things at lately that we might end up with 7 masks or something. So I was relieved to count ten of them.

  2. Seeing that I am allergic to products that contain coconut, I'm really glad I didn't buy this...

    1. Oh, yes, that would not have been good at all. Allergies can make things so inconvenient. I should count myself very lucky theres no lavender in any of these.

  3. I'm trying to understand how Memebox has screwed the entire world?

    1. Well, most of the world. They stopped shipping outside the US.

    2. Geez, I thought they ripped people off or something. Sucks for the people outside of the US but that's the nature of the business sometimes. I wonder if it has to do with customs. I kind of like that they are not going crazy with so many boxes because then I don't feel like I'm missing out and think that I NEED to buy them all.

    3. Haha! Nooo! Nothing that awful, although there has been some CS issues. :D And yessss, I know what you mean about the boxes! I was insane for awhile, I bought SO many. I'm much more relaxed about it now. I *do* wish they'd continue the monthly boxes, even if they can't call them Global anymore...
