I read all the great reviews on this product and I was super excited at first, but then I was reading that there are a ton of parabens (I think 5?!) in this product..which is a huge bummer. :( I used to not really care about that stuff, but the more I read about it the more I don't want to put parabens anywhere near my body! I think it's still a good addition to the box though and I know plenty of people who would still love to use it, so I'm still excited!
ReplyDeleteI think you have little to worry about in a wash off mask. Avoiding parabens is not a bad thing, though. My only issue is that there are too many biased reports made on certain ingredients. I don't like fear-mongering and I don't like it when those with agendas disseminate false findings or distort true scientific studies.
DeleteI couldn't agree with you more. There are naturally occurring parabens in fruits and vegetables that we ingest. There is very little chance of damage from an externally used product that touches your skin for 30 seconds.
DeleteThat said, I'm trying out so many new haas and vitamin c serums, if I used this, I'd probably scrub my skin off. So....tradsies for me on this one.
Yeah, I think my reservations are with the pumice. Depends, though, on the grit level. While I might not use it on my face, it'd probably be great as a body scrub. Actually, I think that's exactly what I'll use it for! 😃
