The 3B Box February 2015 An Asian Beauty Subscription

This is the February 2015 3BBox!  This review is going to be very short because I'm quite ill but I know that everyone is excited about what 3B is doing and that an Asian beauty subscription box is one of the best things ever!

There is a growing desire for Asian beauty products because of their new and innovative technologies, use of unusual ingredients based on those technologies and also for the fun packaging that is available.
It does arrive in a box but when you open it up, this is what you will find.  A gauze drawstring bag with all your goodies and an information card.

The Cost: $12/month

What You Get: Five deluxe size Asian beauty samples from Korea, Taiwan and Japan.
Skinfood Oil Control Film Sheets-  These are a shocking blue color.  I was so surprised when I pulled it out.  They sucked the oil right off my face, too.  Eeek!  Even though I had just washed it about an hour before I got the box.  They're very silky and have some static cling going on right now. These are to keep your make up fresh and your forehead from shining.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Essence-  This is the essence that matches the emulsion we got in the December bag.  It's very hydrating.  Use after your toner.  It smells delicious.  I haven't used it yet. (Seriously, I can't believe I'm able to type right now, that's how sick I am).
Laneige Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil-  Here is your chance to try the Laneige Cleansing Oil!  If you've never used a cleansing oil before, this will be a fun experiment for you.  It was for me anyway. I didn't think I'd like cleansing with an OIL! Ew.  But no.  It's not gross and it's effective.  The best thing?  If you like this, you can get it at Target.  And it smells amazing.  Really amazing.

Banila Co. Clean It Zero- I'm surprised that there are two cleansing oils in the bag but I'm not going to lie... It's actually kind of brilliant since they're so different.  The Clean It Zero starts out as a solid but turns silky once you massage it on your skin.  I'm pretty excited to test these against each other and see which I like better!
Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream- Mizon!  And I think this is a full size product!  I wouldn't be surprised.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm too sick to research :P.  Formulated with 80% snail mucin (give me ALL THE SNAIL!!) this is an all-natural, anti-microbial that is also packed with antioxidants.  Acne-prone skin can rejoice!  Forget just using this on my eyes, I'm gonna slather this on my face!  It also has glycolic acid in it.

VERDICT:  Since last months bag had mostly full sizes, this one seems small.  But the contents are glorious and I love the brand variety.  This is like a celebrity red carpet of kbeauty brands! I love seeing the Mizon, the Laneige and the Skinfood!  Even better, I'll use every single product in it.  I can't say that about a lot of boxes either. So this is a win and definitely worth the $12 for me.  It's an Asian beauty Birchbox and I'm in love.

I am also really excited to compare the Laneige Cleansing Oil to the Banila Co. Clean It Zero.  What a fun opportunity and I don't even have to buy full sizes and waste money to do it!

I'll update with more complete information once I'm feeling better.  I'm so sorry this is bare bones.

Get on the waitlist!  Sign up at www.the3bbox.com and get your name on that list. This is a brand new subscription and a small company but they're trying really hard to move people off the wait list and into Asian skincare goodness.

    1. I'm feeling better! I used both of these now and I think I actually prefer the Laneige! I wasn't expecting to since the Banila Co. is such a cult favorite.

  2. I think the Mizon is full size although they do offer a larger size as well.
This is another great box, and they are definitely leaning toward the "kbeauty birchbox" kind of thing for me and I love it. I'm happy that you finally get to try cleansing oils! I was weird about them too but now I can't live without them!

You know what's crazy about those oil sheets? The first time I ever saw an oil blotting sheet was at Bath and Body works a looooong time ago when I was a pre-teen/junior high aged kid. They were the exact same look and color to these ones! They worked amazingly well, so I'm happy to hear these ones work well too!

Thanks for getting this review up even though you're sick- I was dying to know what was in the box this month! :) Feel better soon!!

  3. This looks like a great little box! I think it's great that they are leaning towards a K-beatuy birchbox since it's a good (and financially less painful) way to introduce people to K-beauty awesomeness.

Those oil sheets look fun! I have similar blue ones from tester korea and they never fail to surprise me by how much oil they soak up. They are fantastic.

Hope you feel better soon! Great post in spite of your illness. #kbeautybloghop

  5. I signed up for notifications for when they start international shipping almost as soon as people first started posting about them. I hope that the more interest they get, the more likely they are to open it up! This bag looks really good, especially for the price and I really want to try that snail eye cream!

  6. I hope you're feeling better by now! I used some blue oil blotting sheets way back when (can't remember the brand?) and they worked well. Or at least I thought so... maybe the blue paper just makes the oil look more pronounced, lol.
