Trendy Butler Menswear Subscription Box Review and $10 Coupon

Trendy Butler is a mens apparel subscription. They send an array of exclusive menswear clothing from both well known brands and today’s new designers.  I had previously tried a menswear subscription called Five Four Club but found that while I liked (or rather, my husband liked) the styles, the quality left a lot to be desired.
Trendy Butler does not have that problem if what we received this month is any indication.  I am so pleased with the quality and my husband has decided he wants to continue getting these packages.
He’s been getting jealous that all the boxes are for me so I’ll throw him a bone with this one. Haha!
Actually, I’m really happy he likes it because he never likes to buy clothing except a new packages of white T-shirts and underwear at Costco every couple months.  Okay, that’s not quite true.  About once a year he goes to Men’s Wearhouse and comes home with some new dress shirts, ties and slacks.  He does like to look nice and enjoys “dressing up” for dinner or work.  The only thing he likes about weddings is that he gets to dress up and show off his tie knots.

The Cost: $65/month

What You Get: $150 worth of quality clothing (anywhere from one to three items) from brands you know and fashionable up and coming designers.  Choices are made by a stylist based on your profile answers.
I filled out the style profile, choosing relaxed, casual style categories.  We received a fleece zip up jacket.  It’s not a hoodie so I’m calling it a jacket.  Maybe it’s called a sweater.  I don’t know.  What I do know is that I like it a lot and DH is already wearing it.
It’s a Cohesive & Co “Roland” zip sweatshirt with quilted accents.  The elbow pads and upper back panel are a light gray quilt and it really looks great. Inside is a soft cuddly fleece.  This is a thick jacket.  It is very heavy and very warm.

The quilting on the back. It’s the same as the patches on the elbows.  I just love these accents.  It adds so much to the “flare” of the jacket and takes it from boring to sophisticated in an instant.  Even though this is a zip up jacket, you could easily wear it with slacks.

I’ve never heard of Cohesive & Co. so I looked them up and they have some great menswear.  I couldn’t find this exact product anywhere so it’s possible is very new.  It’s sometimes hard to order sight unseen because you just don’t know the fit.  This brand works really well for DH.  He has broad shoulders and a slim waist and this fit perfectly.  I ordered a size Medium but if you need to make a return or exchange, Trendy Butler makes it easy to do and the exchange shipping is free unless you are in Canada, Alaska or Hawaii.

VERDICT:  I paid $39 for this on Gilt City so this was really worth it.  In fact, I would have paid the full $55 for the subscription and still considered it a deal.  This is a quality piece of workmanship.  So much better than what I received from Five Four Club, I can hardly believe it.  My husband has said he wants to continue this subscription which is not something he would say if he didn’t like what he got. I wanted to take a picture of him wearing it because he looked so handsome but he said no way. I guess I can’t blame him for that. 😀
Another difference is that while Five Four Club makes their own clothing, Trendy Butler finds clothing from actual designers and manufacturers.  You can find this brand at Nordstroms and Bloomingdales and it isn’t cheap.  I looked.
So we will keep this subscription and see what other awesome things Trendy Butler can send us each month!
