Allure Sample Society March 2015 Review and Coupon Code

My Allure Sample Society box for March 2015 arrived today and I was so excited to dig in.  This is one of my favorite boxes because the brands are always so good.  I've been subscribed for over a year now and I think there've only two months where I considered the box a dud.  That's an amazing track record!  It's also super affordable and while there aren't usually coupons or points for reviews like Birchbox has, I still think this is a great subscription.

The Cost: $15/month

What You Get: Five deluxe-size beauty samples from a curated mix of skin, hair, and makeup products, as well as fragrance. You'll also receive $10 gift card to redeem on any $50 Beauty Bar purchase every month.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer-.5oz-  I don't really care for this product.  I don't find it moisturizing in the slightest and it stinks. I know some people love it but this and my skin do not get along.

Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray-  I adore this spray.  It's my favorite volumizing spray. I have thin, fine hair and this works fantastically well, giving me the oompf I want without getting sticky or greasy.  I'm currently out and have been waiting for this box so I wouldn't have to buy more.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara- Yay!!  I got one!  I've been wanting to try this since it's new and it's Benefit, of course.  At first use, I love it!!  Long, dark and glorious lashes!!  Since I just used it, I still have to test it for longevity, fall out and smudgyness.  It's got a weird rubbery brush but it totally works for me.
Cargo Essentials Lip Gloss in Taos-  This is a sheer moisturizing lip gloss.  I like Cargo but am not super thrilled with this Taupe color.  I like the pink I got in Birchbox much better.  Nothing wrong with the formula, it's nice and sheer without much shine.
Value: $16

Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm-  This is a clear, super moisturizing lip balm.  I love it.  This smells good, glides on and will make your lips happy.  I think this is my third tube and I'm hoarding it, that's how much I like it.  It's too expensive to just run out and buy so I always love getting them in my boxes.  I was very generous and gave one to my mom for Christmas.  Haha!  It was hard to part with but I knew she'd love it and I can't be that greedy!
Value: $12

VERDICT: For $15 a month, getting a whopping $40 worth of products is pretty awesome.  I've always liked the brands that Sample Society tends to send and this box really was no exception.  I will never have enough of the Oscar Blandi and Malin + Goetz.  My new favorite mascara might be the Benefit Roller Lash (still testing longevity) and while the color is blah on the Cargo, it's a full size lip gloss!

  1. This is a great assortment! I got the Roller Lash in my Birchbox and it didn't work that well for me--I mean, it worked fine as a "normal" mascara, but it didn't give me the advertised curl. I'm glad that it is working well for you, though! I also am not a fan of the Juice Beauty moisturizer because of the way it smells :/

    1. I can't say that I noticed any curling but I did like how it applied and stayed without flaking. I think there was a little clumping but not too bad and I like how it separated all my lashes. So basically like a regular mascara but better than some. I still like my Hope Girl 140 SuperLash better than anything else I've encountered. :D
