Most of all, I wanted to like what I was choosing. While I didn't have carte blanche, I definitely was able to incorporate things I love, things I've always wanted and with ingredients I can happily use on my skin.
This is perfect for dry weather and with part of the country stuck in deep snow, moisturization is going to be the key to keeping your skin plump and pliant. If you want to avoid tight, flaky skin, make sure you are slapping on moisturizer in the morning and before bed. Sleeping packs are great for bedtime, especially if you are suffering in the dry weather.
The Face Shop uses water that has had chia seeds soaking in it to take advantage of the mineral rich compounds and antioxidants chia seeds provide. Soaking chia seeds in water produces a gel and this First Essence displays that texture pretty well. I'm so excited for you to try this product! It's a clear gel and has a light scent that is familiar to me somehow.

Who knew I would love snail slime? I admit at first I was not eager to try it but I decided to get over it after so many people were having such good results. Once I tried it and my skin looked so good, I was trying ALL THE SNAIL. Haha! I even used a snail lip balm (although that one took a pep talk before I actually applied it).
This lotion has my favorite moisturizer- sodium hyaluronate. Our bodies produce hyaluronic acid naturally but production slows down in your late twenties. Since I'm (OMG!) now in my late thirties, I need all I can get. The Snail Bee Lotion also has antioxidants in the form of plant extracts along with peptides and healing aloe. It also has niacinamide for brighter skin and a more even skintone. It's basically got all the things I love to have in my skincare. That's why it's in this bag!
This is much lighter than the Steam Cream (if you've tried that) and has more of an emulsion consistency. The one drawback is that it does take some massaging to absorb but I'm such a fan of the Snail Secretion Filtrate being the first ingredient that the extra 15 seconds or so doesn't bother me. This lotion would be applied after your serums and/or essence and before your moisturizer/sunscreen. A little goes a long way but you'll really notice a difference in your skin. I feel like this definitely brightens my complexion.
Value: $15.99
I highly recommend doing this new thing I figured out. Once you apply the moisturizing bag to your foot, put on a regular sock over it. This way you are less likely to kill yourself slipping in the plastic while walking around. It says to leave it on for thirty minutes but I've left it for much longer without issues. My feet are super soft with no dry cracking after I use this and I love the peppermint smell.

Etude House Castle Hand Cream- You get your choice of the super cute Etude House Castle hand cream!! You can get Ice Frozen, Sweet Cookie, Forever Rose or Pink Wish. These use glycerin and shea butters as moisturizers along with some aloe. The Ice Frozen, Pink Wish and Forever Rose have a floral scent (and do contain lavender) but the Sweet Cookie is more of a strong vanilla. Personally, I go for the cookie scents over floral.
But seriously? How cute are these?! Everyone should have one and that's why it's in the bag. The Castle Hand Creams are Korean beauty classics and they do look adorable on the vanity. I'm just saying.
Value: $6.99
This also has a series of fruit acids which may help slough off dead skin and reveal the bright new skin underneath. It's possible that the citrus extracts might be irritating to those with sensitive skin so keep that in mind.
I've used a lot of masks but for affordability and effects, I always come back to MBD.
Value: $2

Congratulations on another collaboration! This looks like a great bag! The Benton Snail Bee products are still on my list of must-trys because I hear sooo many good things about them. Is it just me, or do things with snail slime leave your face sticky forever? Or am I doing it wrong? Those Etude House creams are to die for! So cute! I think I'd go with the cookie one too; I don't care for floral scents much either. Awesome picks!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun and stressful at the same time, I have to admit. If you want to start with a Benton Snail Bee product, start with the High Content Essence. I love it and it's not sticky at all. I haven't noticed a particular stickiness with snail products but it could just be a skin difference thing. Who knows! And if you don't like floral, definitely go for the Cookie!
DeleteCongrats on the collaboration! I love all of your picks, especially the Etude House hand creams. They have the cutest packaging! I'm definitely going to have to buy one your bags.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Danielle! I couldn't resist the Castle hand creams for cuteness factor. They're kind of a staple for those who love kbeauty and adorable packaging!
DeleteMy favorite brand right now is Benton!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the collaboration!
ReplyDeleteMy fav brand right now is TonyMoly, especially the peach lotion and lipgloss pots!
Thanks, Jeni!! That peach hand cream is wonderful, isn't it? I wish I could eat my hands after I've used it. And I can't believe how long the scent lasts :D
DeleteI'm really excited about that Chia seed water! This bag looks fab!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing! You're going to love it! I think it's got the best ingredient set of the whole TheFaceShop Chia Seed lineup.
DeleteCongrats on the collaboration! Great pics and everyone always use some hydration products right? It's great that beauteque got bloggers involved with their bags! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteTosowoong, Mizon and Goodal are my faves right now-that could change next week! Lol. Congrats on this!
ReplyDeleteI just bought my first Goodal product yesterday! I can't wait for it to get here. I think it's an emulsion of some kind. It's funny because some people don't really like Tosowoong but I have had nothing but good products from them and I like their ingredients as well. Plus they're extremely reasonably priced!
DeleteWell, and Mizon... You do have very good taste, don't you!
Goodal is one of my favorites! I am wanting to get more of their waterest products :)
DeleteI just bought the Phytorain Murumuru Seed Hydra Serum but I didn't look at the ingredients before buying it. Whoops. Alcohol is the third ingredient AND it has lavender in it. Double whoops. I didn't realize they were part of Clio. Now I'm determined to find one that has better ingredients.
DeleteA brilliant selection of products, nothing in this bag feels like a cheaper filler. It is all the things I would have chosen myself.
ReplyDeleteI love skinfood.Their nail polish are the best way to bring color in my life with their great quality and wide variety.I love taking care of my nails since it makes me see all the colors that makes life so pretty and remind me to be positive since I always wear black and grey.
ReplyDeletelove love love this bag! actually very excited about the foot mask!
ReplyDeleteYou're gonna love it! Pepperminty goodness!
DeleteLooks great, I am going to buy all three collaboration bags and try those Korean miracles :)
ReplyDeleteUmm... my favorite brand would be 3CE, Etude House... Now that I think about it I don't have a favorite Korean brand, I've only been buying things from memebox recently. Oh my gosh I've been buying a lot from their make up collaboration line.
ReplyDeleteSo happy that you made this bag! :D
Goodal, Missha
ReplyDeleteI just ordered my first Goodal product! I can't wait!
DeleteI like etude products.
ReplyDeleteBanila clean it zero
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I'm really obsessed with Innisfree products. I love the Ampoule Intense Cushion and their lipsticks. It is nothing really new, but it works great for me and my skin. Love your selection of products for your beauteque collaboration bag. You did choose some nice items :) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had fun putting the bag together. And I put that cushion on my Wish List. I'm looking for a good cushion compact.
DeleteThank you for the giveaway! My favourite kbeauty brand right now is still etude house..:) I still haven't got past my princess stage yet:P
ReplyDeleteNever get past the princess stage! Etude House has the cutest packaging :)
DeleteGreat choices - grabbed my bag of course! I have tried both masks and they are fab. I can't wait to try TFS booster and I've been wanting to get my hands on a castle lotion for a long time! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather! I admit I put the Castle Cream in because I wanted one, too. ;)
DeleteYay! This looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite K-Beauty Product would have to be Dr. Post Snail Aquaring SOS Sheet Mask - they are amazing! Really, any sheet mask is good to me!

Thanks, Renee! Snail + sheet masks are the best! Honestly, I had no idea I would ever be hunting down snail products to slap on my skin... So worth it, though!
DeleteI love Too Cool For School :))
ReplyDeleteFabulous theme! I never paid much attention to TFS Chia line, but that essence actually sounds pretty great!
ReplyDeleteNot all of them are as excellent (in my opinion) as this essence so I can't fangirl over the whole line. I do think the Chia is better than the Mango, in general, as well.
DeleteMy favorite is Yes to Cucumbers eye gel -- shaunie
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on the collaboration and thanks for the giveaway. My fav is at the moment Elizavecca milky piggy carbonated bubble clay mask, I like it very much how it bubbles on my face and the smooth feeling afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI *love* the Elizavecca brand! I like the VitaSauce :)
DeleteMy favorite kbeauty brand is etude house, the products are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love Etude House and Skin79! Two brands that you must try!!
ReplyDeleteI tried a BB cream by Skin79 that I really liked! It came as a sample but I already had a new Missha Perfect Cover at the time. I saved the sample packet somewhere so that I could remember what it was. Now i just have to remember what I did with it... >.<
DeleteSkinfood is really cool..it is my fav :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats great collab! I really wanna try that Chia Seed First Essence! ^.^
ReplyDeleteI love Etude House too :) I can't wait until my first testerkorea package comes so I can try out more brands
ReplyDeleteThey always seem to take so long to be delivered, don't they? I find I stalk the package obsessively until it leaves LAX and is actually on the way to my house :D
DeleteI really like Etude House and The Face Shop! I'm a sucker for cute and super girly packaging. I'm really excited about all the blogger-curated bags. Congrats on the collaboration! Also, sorry if this posts twice as my phone was not cooperating.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's pretty fun! Korea really knows how to suck us in with adorable packaging. So many brands have fantastic packaging!
