Popsugar Must Have March 2015 Review and Coupon Code

The day I left for Las Vegas was the same day my Popsugar Must Have March 2015 box showed up. You might have an idea of how desperately I wished I had picked a later flight in order to be there and snap it up off the porch before we left.  No luck.  When I got back yesterday, I had ten boxes waiting for me.  Waiting to be reviewed.  And this box was one of them.

Popsugar is one of my favorite boxes because they don't just send makeup or beauty items but they also send products relating to home and fitness.  I love getting home items now because I get so much beauty in other boxes.

The Cost: $39.95

What You Get: Full size, premium products dealing with Home, Fashion, Fitness, Beauty and Food!

Bliss Micromagic Microdermabrasion Treatment- This is a full size product!  It's a scrub made with pumice, vitamin E and aloe.  I am not going to be using this on my face because... well, pumice?  But for the rest of my bod, that's totally okay!  I've actually been needing a body scrub since my BBW coconut one just ran out.
Value: $48

Greenmarket Purveying Co. The Archivist Lemon + Cucumber Reed Diffuser Kit- It was basically love at first sniff.  What's not to like about lemon and cucumber?!  Yep.  Smells delicious.  I don't think I've ever received a reed diffuser in a subscription box before, how fun is that? Yay!
Value: $20
Samudra Pink Pina Zip Pouch- This is a Popsugar Exclusive and I'm not sure that they should admit to that.  This is a glowing neon pink.  It's actually pretty big.  Bigger than a regular sheet of paper for sure.  It has a zipper at the top and is see through (there's a piece of white paper inside of it in the photo.  So you can find everything.  If you're not blinded first by the blazing neon pink glare.
Value: $40 (you're kidding, right?)
Knock Knock What to Pack Pad- Never forget to pack anything again ever.  Because this baby has 60 sheets! It does have Chargers on the list but it doesn't have nearly enough extra lines for makeup and skincare.  It's awfully cute, though.
Value: $7

Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara and POREfessional- These two samples are special extras.  I like the Roller Lash actually.  It works well for me (and I admit, I was surprised).  I currently am sporting extensions so I can't use mascara right now so this will be passed along.
The Porefessional I'm definitely trying.  I'm looking for the ultimate primer.  Right now I'm using Smashbox Color Corrector and I really like it but I can cheat a little with Benefit.  Never hurts to explore your options...
Halfpops Halfpopped Popcorn- Okay, so this stuff is magic.  If you've never had this, you've got to try it.  It sounds awful, right? But it's not. It's ridiculously addictive.  I got the regular flavor but I saw there was a Chipotle floating around.  This bag is tiny!  I'm used to Popsugar sending full size snack bags but I like these so I'm not complaining. Much.  The creators of this snack are also about ten minutes from my home!
Value: $2

Wet Brush The Squirt- This is a travel size wet brush.  I've never used a wet brush though I tried a TangleTeezr thing.  That thing worked as well as my regular brush but was more unwieldy so I didn't bother with it again.  But this is different and I'm curious.  I need less hair breakage.  I need to keep what I have! Drat my thin hair... /cry.
Value: $5

VERDICT:  This Popsugar box was not my favorite.  It's kinda boring actually.  But I've already got the diffuser set up, the Halfpops are half eaten and the Bliss is sitting in the shower waiting to be used.  I'll see what I think about the Wet Brush, maybe it will be amazing but I won't know til I try. But the raging pink zip pouch will have to find a new home before it blinds me and the What to Pack will be passed on to someone more likely to use it.

The last few Popsugar boxes have been absolutely stellar so maybe that's why this one seems a little dull to me.

If you'd like to get a Popsugar Must Have box, March is sold out and April is sold out but you can snag a May box right here!  Use code REFER5 to get $5 off your first box.  I have no idea how they are selling out so fast.  This is kind of ridiculous...

  1. "This is a Popsugar Exclusive and I'm not sure that they should admit to that." Lmao! The pouch is ugly as hell but I'm going to use it for larger liquids like body wash, etc., when I travel. I also LOVE the smell of the diffuser!

    1. Yes, it does have it's benefits and it's nice it has a real zipper although I feel like my eyeballs are burning every time I look at it! I love the Lemon-Cucumber scent and my office smells deeelicious!

  2. Love your review as always! This was my first pop sugar box and I was eager for it because I've been traveling a little more than I thought I would be. I liked some of it, so far I'm gifting the reed diffuser to my bestie who's birthday is coming up, not cuz I don't like it, I just prefer candles and my Himalayan salt lamp with a few drops of my citrus bliss Doterra oils, I wasn't sure about the wet brush but it's actually pretty good! I have really long thick hair and it amazingly brushed through it without pulling to hard yet getting through my tangles, I hope it works well with your hair too! The pink bag is very pink but I'm thinking I'll use it for dirty/wet clothes when beaching it. Like you, it wasn't my favorite, but I loved the Style Quarterly box you got! Glad your Vegas Trip was fun for you btw! :)

    1. Aww, thank you!! I did have fun in Vegas because SUN IS AMAZING!! I still can't believe I just had four days of bright, gorgeous sun-- only to come home to my typical Seattle gray skies and rain. :D
I have to ask you about your salt lamp!! Someone *just* recommended a salt lamp to my husband for his sinuses. Have you heard of this? Do you have yours for a purpose or do you just like how it looks? And I didn't know you could put scented oils in/on them... Is that normal, can you do that with all of them or do you have a special one? Now I'm desperate to know about this! Haha!

I've got my Wet Brush out on my counter so I won't forget about it. You're the second person who said they worked really well so Im pretty excited to try it now (is that sad?). :D And at least you will always know where your bag is on the beach! You cannot lose that thing plus it *is* a good size... Hmm... maybe I should keep it after all...

  3. That is so interesting that someone recommended it for his sinuses! Honestly, I didn't know what it would do when I bought it from a makeup artist I used to work for. She loves homeopathic methods and she told me it releases negative ions that help purify the air, this was about 7 or 8 years ago now, and I've loved the ambiance it creates and that I'm using something natural to purify the air. Here's more info about the benefits I found online: http://wellnessmama.com/23569/himalayan-salt-lamp-benefits/ I started putting oils on it because I saw someone else did that to diffuse oils, so basically I copied her and I don't have a diffuser myself so I figured it would do the same thing, so I'm good with it! :) I do sometimes have sinus issues and perhaps unbeknownst to me it has helped me! That's so interesting! I sometimes use the respiratory blend oil (breathe) on it to help my boyfriend when he snores and I like the Citrus oils which are supposed to make you feel uplifted aka happy, but I use them because they smell nice lol.

I'm happy to hear you got to spend some time in the sun, it's so nice to get that in your system especially when it's gray and...gloomy! And yes, I agree about the bag, we will never lose that thing! haha and then men in our lives will easily spot it should we need to ask them to grab it for us for some reason! haha

    1. I think I may have to try this (with the oils, too) just to see if it helps. They aren't too expensive on Amazon and if it works, it would be worth it. Otherwise, I could just use it for oils like you do :D

  4. Ugh this box was a pile of failure for me lol. The pouch is hideous and cheap and just all around terrible. It's useable...but it shold have been a value of like...$5-$10, not $40. I'm like..ANGRY at an inanimate object for taking up so much of the value of this box. It's sad that the Bliss product and the hideous pink pouch were almost all the value. All the other items together are like $30-something dollars. Not at all exciting and I can honestly say this was the worst popsugar box I've ever received.

Having said that, if THIS is the worst box I've recieved, they're doing something right. Nothing in here was exciting, but none of it was horrendously bad! They're still my favorite sub. I'm hoping that April blows me out of the water!

    1. True, even their worst isn't too terrible. It's not like they sent out expired product or something from two years ago bargain bin. And it seems like (as with all subscription boxes) there are plenty of people who are drooling with happiness over the things I don't like!
