Something Snacks March 2015 Review

Something Snacks is a fairly new snack subscription that sends you a little something of everything. You will likely get something familiar, something international and something fun.  There is generally always something sweet and something savory, too, so there's a pretty good balance in each box.

The Cost: $13 total (includes shipping)

What You Get: Each box will contain 7 new and tasty, hand selected snacks. You can expect something familiar and something more out of the ordinary.

Crispy Green Crispy Fruit Tangerine- Oh.  These were SO good.  I need to find more immediately.  I was so surprised by what they looked like when I opened the package.  I don't know what I was expecting but whole, freeze dried segments was not it. These were amazing!
Nunes Farms Roasted Salted Pistachios- Tasty pistachios!  I love pistachios so I ate these.  Actually, I have a few left but I love roasted nuts and these were the perfect amount of salty.

McTavish Handmade Clover Shortbread Cookies- These cookies are festive and are a nod to St. Paddy's Day, of course.  I like these regular shortbread ones over the gingerbread ones I've had before.  These are big cookies, too.
Burt's British Potato Chips in Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar- At first I thought I wasn't going to like them but after a bite or two, they really grew on me.  The taste is unusual but good.  Besides that, they're nice crunchy potato chips.

Inka Chips Plaintain Chips- I always feel like bananas and plantains should taste the same but they don't, of course.  While bananas are sweet, plantains are not and these chips were actually pretty addicting.  There's a subtle flavor, great crunch and this is a big package so I can snack for awhile. I'm not sure I've ever had plantain chips before but these are good.
YangBan Sea Veggies with Sea Salt- Seaweed! Ew! Gross!  Good thing Walker loves seaweed because I gave them to him.  He said they were really good and had great taste.

Be-Bop Biscotti- This is a grasshopper mint biscotti.  I'm not a huge biscotti fan but I am a fan of grasshopper cookies so I had to try this.  It was good!  A little dry like biscotti usually is but very mint-tastic!  I need some hot cocoa to go with it.

VERDICT: A great variety, for sure!  I'm so in love with the Crispy Fruit, wow!  If you are out and ever see these on the shelves, you've got to try them.  Yuuuuum!  I actually like the less healthy aspect of this box.  If you're looking for a box with a healthy focus, this is not the box you want.  If you're looking for all kinds of snacks from near and far, Something Snacks does that well.  Plus I like how they keep the season in mind, as well.

  3. Hi! Thanks for subscribing! I agree the seaweed is a bit adventurous! But I love it! Salty, crispy, savory :P If it's your first time I would recommend one small bite at a time. Eat with rice, tuna, porridge, sashimi! <3
