The 3B Box April 2015 ~ Beauty Beyond Borders Asian Beauty Subscription

The April 2015 3B Box arrived today while I was outside shoveling bark. Did I immediately drop my shovel and run inside clutching the box to my chest, smiling maniacally. Why yes. Yes, I did. This is one of my favorite beauty boxes. It's a seriously reasonable price and contains Asian beauty samples. They also manage to sneak in a surprising number of full size items, too.  I'm always so impressed with what is sent, as well.
The box itself is very unassuming but the contents are always fantastic. This is a new company, this is their fifth month and they've proven over and over that they know what they're doing. The curation is continually thoughtful and well-done. They are so popular that there is a wait list for this box which I suggest you get on immediately at www.the3bbox.com.

The Cost: $12/month

What You Get: 4-5 beauty samples with some full size items from the best and most popular Asian brands.

Skinfood Silicon Cleansing Pad- I love the idea of a little lifestyle item, especially in a box as reasonable as this. This particular item uses tiny bristles to clean out your pores and scrub away your dead skin cells. You know what I love even more? That they paired it with a cleanser in the same box.
Value: $2

Tony Moly Intense Care Snail Foam Cleanser-50ml- This is such a nice size! This is a deluxe sample size, I believe, but it's a good months worth of cleanser. Plus... SNAIL! It's a creamy white foam with a citrus scent. It's also moisturizing because of it's high glycerin content and it has goodies like peptides, beeswax and AHA's in it.
Value: $5
Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel- These are the typical sample sized products. I love that this one is in a squeezy tube because it means I can get every last drop of goodness out. I've actually been wanting to try the Benton Aloe line because I love the Snail Bee stuff so much. This is 80% aloe and 10% Propolis for the best healing effects on your sad, sunburned or irritated skin. It's a clear gel with a hint of sticky that goes away after a minute or two. I was in the sun all day (shoveling bark, remember?) so I slapped some on just because.

Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner- This is designed for all skin types but is touted as especially good for troubled and acne prone skin. That's because aloe is freaking amazing and promotes healing. This also has salicylic acid (.5%) as an exfoliating antimicrobial along with snail mucin and sodium hyaluronate for moisturizing. The ingredient list is pretty stellar and I've been wanting to try this particular product for AGES but I have so much stuff I couldn't bring myself to buy it. Now I have the perfect tester size. I can't wait to use it!
Innisfree Bija Squeeze Mask- This moisturizing mask has citrus extracts, aloe, bija tree extracts and sodium hyaluronate in it. I love seeing Innisfree in the box and I can always use another sheet mask!
Value: $2

VERDICT: I really am happy with the spread of products and the brand variety. Getting Benton and Innisfree in the same bag is pretty amazing. I think the curation is excellent and I think it's fun that they've included a little scrubby along with the cleanser. Very appropriate. For me, personally, I'm thrilled to see the Benton products because I have specifically been wanting to try that line but haven't gotten around to purchasing it.
I'm so happy to be introduced to new products and to see quality brands. Plus, while I know this is supposed to be a sample box, they manage to get such big samples so often I can't believe it.

The 3B Box is currently on a wait list. They are ridiculously popular for a reason. Make sure you sign up on their website asap. The sooner you get on the list, the sooner you get off of it.

I think they mentioned on their Facebook page that they were moving a bunch of people off this month so that exciting. There should be some happy people getting their first box soon!

  2. I finally got off the wait list and got this months box today. I am really happy I saw your reviews on it because I really like this box for the price! I got a Tony Moly foaming cleanser instead of the white one you received, but I think mine is full sized. I'm really excited to try everything and would also like to say your review helped me understand what each product is meant for! I was a bit unsure of the 2 aloe products and how to use them, so this really helped :)

    1. Hooray! I'm always glad to hear when people get off the waitlist! How long ago did you sign up? I saw they did double the amount of bags this month so hopefully it was a lot of people that got off.
Ah, the Aloe toner comes after your cleanser. It's an exfoliant, too, and I'm already so in love with it. I need to go buy a full size right now. The Soothing Gel is something I would use like a serum, so after my toner but before my real moisturizer. I'm happy to help/enable you! Haha :)
