Popsugar Must Have May 2015 Box Review and Coupon Codes!

The Popsugar Must Have box is probably number one on my list of favorite subscription boxes. This May 2015 box has such a mix of things that there is sure to be something for everyone. I like it because it's not a beauty box. It's what is known as a "lifestyle" box. You can receive jewelry, housewares, snacks, accessories, beauty products... pretty much anything and that's why this box is so much fun.
My boxes have always been perfectly packed and each box comes with an information card describing everything they've included and why. These boxes are like Christmas every month for me.

The Cost: $39.95/month

What You Get: Full size, premium products dealing with Home, Fashion, Fitness, Beauty and Food!

Kitsch Tri'd and True Y-Shaped Necklace- I wasn't sure if I would like this but once I put it on I decided that I did. It's silver and very dainty. It's longer than I was expecting which actually is one reason I like it. If I wore a V-neck shirt or dress, the dangly chain is going to get lost in the cleavage, though. Maybe that's a good thing? Oh, I'm married. That kind of thing doesn't matter any more. Anyway, this is cute, I'll wear it and I'm glad it's silver (my favorite).
Value: $32
Sister of Los Angeles Surf Sand Love Beach Towel- This is a blaring blue and yellow beach towel. You'll always know where your towel is. It's pretty thin but it's nice and big. It's so totally not my style but it could be good for the dogs.
Value: $40 (is this a joke?)

Hammonds Candies McCraw's Flat Taffy- Aw! This is a fun snack inclusion! I got Neopolitan and it's chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavored. The chocolate part is the best. It's weird to eat taffy that's so skinny but I don't discriminate.
Value: $1
Middle Kingdom Mini Plum Vase in Coral Red- I had imagined this being a bright red but it's definitely more toward the orangey end of the spectrum. Still, it's cute and a nice pop of color. My flowers will be blooming soon (my peonies are so close!) so I'll be using this for sure.
Value: $20

Sage and Row Bare Shave Cream- Well, it is that time of year. Leg baring time. Which means shaving is in order. This shaving cream has ingredients so good I could use it on my face! Except for the lavender part. I'm a broken record at this point and I should probably just stop moaning about my dumb allergies and lavender.
This is aloe based, smells like heaven and is super moisturizing. I think I'll use it anyway, allergies be damned!
Value: $17

Batiste Dry Shampoo- There are so many people that swear by their Batiste Dry Shampoo and say it's the best one there is. This is your chance to find out. I'm not going to bother because dry shampoo and my hair are like oil and water. Or magnetic repellents. Polar opposites? They just don't get along. Where's that Taylor Swift 'Bad Blood' music video when you need it...
Value: $4

VERDICT: Popsugar will always have a special place in my subscription box heart. They send things that no one else does. I love the variety and getting home items in a box. I definitely don't like the towel but that's mainly because of the design. In actuality, it's a great addition to a "get ready for summer" type of box. Everything else will be used except the Batiste Dry Shampoo but that will go in MIL's stocking because she loves dry shampoo.

If you'd like to sign up for Popsugar, the June box is currently available! And lucky you, there's already a spoiler out for that June box and it's a good one! See it here.

When you sign up, make sure to use a coupon code. You can get $5 off with code REFER5 or MUSTHAVE5. Or you can get a FREE Sorial wallet added to your box with code WELCOME while supplies last.

  1. LOVE the towel, but had hoped it would match the 2013 PSMH tote bag they sent out with their first subscription box. :)
I'm sick- I loved my taffy so much I ordered a big box of it from the company. Rainbow is delicious.

What are you going to put in your teeny vase, Sarah? :)

See, this is why subscription boxes are awesome, there is always something for everyone! I don't always like everything but I always love something. And that Kitsch necklace REALLY is growing on me. I love how dainty it is.

  2. Wow, you get so much stuff with lavender in it don't you? It's like the lavender knows hehe!
I love that vase. I also reallly want to try taffy. Is it chewy? It looks like it would be chewy but soft.

    1. I know. I probably should just start using it and testing what the effects are. I feel like I'm missing out on too much fun stuff.

The taffy is... well, it's really thin like paper so it's not that it's chewy, it's more like it's sticky. Does that make any sense? It's not chewy like salt water taffy is. It sticks in my teeth. :D

  3. I'm still not sure whether I'm going to keep the Kitsch necklace or not. I think it's really cute but I'm not sure what to wear it with.
