Ipsy July 2015 Unofficial Sneak Peek!

Ipsy is one of the most popular makeup subscription boxes in the US. It has over one million subscribers and counting. While I'm sure that number waffles up and down each month, that's a crapton of people!! It's different from Birchbox by the fact that it sends mostly makeup in their Glambags. So if you're looking for some cute makeup samples or a gift for a teen or preteen, this is $10 well-spent.

The Cost: $10/month

What You Get: Get five sample-sized beauty products in a cute makeup bag along with coupons to buy full sizes at online shops.

Here is the first unofficial (email) spoiler:

Subscribers will receive ONE of these products in their bag.

Tarte Amazonian Body Bronzer-An Amazonian clay and annatto infused waterproof body bronzer with an easy-to-use puff delivers a seamless, streakless application for a naturally radiant glow, while treating your skin with nourishing ingredients.

Essie Nail Polish- I'll let you figure out which color this is! Haha! I like Essie, though, and this is pretty.

Aurora Gel Effect Nail Lacquer- My guess on the color is Red Sky at Night. Like the regular polish, it is easy and convenient to use and fast dry without UV lamp. Like the Gel polish, it is shiny and durable with the persistence of up to 2 weeks.

Nudestix Magnetic Eyecolor- This looks like Lilith. An รผber long wearing eye shadow pencil that highlights, provides intense color, precise lining and primes lids for all day wear. A soft and super gliding, easy to blend, eye color with even payoff that is waterproof and long wearing.

Teeez Love Triangle Lipstick-Create perfectly defined lips for a super-feminine look that you can wear with flair. The innovative formula combines nourishing ingredients with rich colors to create a lipstick that is easy to wear and gives your lips a beautiful soft, matte finish.

Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Eyeliner and Eyeshadow-A uniquely formulated crayon that doubles as an eyeliner for thick, precise lines as well as a perfectly-blended eye shadow. Creamy texture with long-lasting hold, made with pure beeswax.

These are all my guesses based on product photos so don't kill me if I'm wrong! :D  What do you think of these? I think I'd want the Tarte (duh!), Essie or Teeez.

If you want to sign up for Ipsy, you can do that right here! You likely won't get this month's bag unless there's some magic happening and you share on Facebook and get off the waitlist immediately because of it. I hate the waitlist.  Anyway!  Sign up if you like getting a mixed bag of treats sent to your door every month for only $10.  It's more makeup than anything else so if that's what you're looking for at a reasonable price, Ipsy is here for you.

  1. Thank you for posting this info. :) I just wanted to say that I HAVE the Tarte' compact of bronzer, just put it in my makeup bag ( a small Etude House makeup bag) this week.
Unless I had a special size from Sephora.com. ( and there's no reason to think it's a different size than the one pictured), there's no way this product is large enough to bronze even a petite sized lady's arms, legs, chest, whatever one wants in the way of body blushing, one time. It's a facial bronzer. They are being disingenuous in describing it as some sort of body bronzing powder, IMO.. It's actually the SMALLEST facial bronzer compact I own and I have 4 or 5 different ones from different companies. I just don't want anyone to be expecting a huge honking Tarte' compact for " body bronzing". It's very nice for what's it is actually designed for- facial bronzer.

    1. I was wrong. There is a body compact, which is 0.78 and the facial bronzer is 0.32 oz.
      I have this one:http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-item-powder-bronzer
So there IS a newer body bronzer. BUT- will Ipsy really send the full size?? The body bronzer appears to be very nice. I think all Tarte' products are great. :) Still, I don't use body bronzer powder, and I DO use the waterproof facial powder if my tan is fading a bit. :)

    2. I don't think they'll send full size. I'm guessing its the body bronzer based on the texture of the pan. Wasn't there another Tarte bronzing product not too long ago? Chocolate Soleil or something? I think that was a half size in a cardboard palette. Not positive on that because I didn't receive it (I was bummed). Hopefully they're not calling it a body bronzer because it's full of glitter... The reviews indicate that the product goes pretty far but does have quite a bit of shimmer.

    3. I didn't get the other bronzer sample either LOL. I could never put glittery brown powder on any part of my body that shows. ( And it would just rub off on the covered parts). Oh well, probably works for people in shorts, tanks and bikinis all summer :)

  2. No JPP pencil please!! Other stuff looks pretty good though! I just have approximately 1,456,897 black liners, lol!

    1. Bahahaha!! Don't we all! And (shockingly) my blue eyeliner collection is growing, too. At least there's more than one shade of blue. But black is... well... black.

  3. I have that Tarte Bronzer and it is not too small at all. It's Park Ave Princess and I purchased it with a Tarte 101 collection. I love it!!

    1. Woohoo! I'm glad you got off the list. I imagine it will show up soon. I think mine usually arrived around the 15th or so. You'll be so happy when you see that shiny pink bag in your mail!
