Meikoko BCdation June 2015 Asian Beauty Subscription Box

When I first learned about the Meikoko BCdation Box, I immediately signed up. The premise was good and the price reasonable for imported products. I know many people will be sad to learn that this is currently only shipping to the USA but hopefully they'll be able to open it up.

The June box has a little bit of everything and I think it's a great collection. There are several variations so if you did order this box, you  may not receive exactly what I did. And I admit to a little jealousy of those who got the Tony Moly Panda Eye Stick.
Every box will include one full size product, one sheet mask, 2-3 deluxe samples and 3-4 foil samples. The BCDation box will also always contain one BB or CC cream for you to try out.

The Cost: $16.99/month

What You Get: Every month you'll receive one BB or CC cream, at least one full size product, 2-3 deluxe size products and some samples all dedicated to expanding your kbeauty collection.

This month the info card has all the information you need to use what is in the box. It is from the card that I know there are variations. I don't mind variations because it keeps an element of surprise even for those who hunt down spoilers (like me).
Holika Holika Daily Garden Cleansing Foam in Green Tea-120ml- This is a full size product! A foaming cleanser is generally used after your oil cleanser in the two-step cleaning process used by kbeauty gurus. I think the general idea is that the oil cleanser removes your makeup and the foaming cleanser gets down and dirty with your pores to get everything clean.
Value: $11

IOPE Super Vital Extra Moist Softener-20ml- IOPE is a great brand and this is a good size sample. Since I'm the type that doesn't really like to shell out the big bucks before trying something, this is a good way to get an idea of whether this will work with my skin. I believe this is like a toner or booster. Use a cotton pad to spread this over your face after cleansing. It's thicker than a Western toner so it may surprise you. It smells amazing and really is quite moisturizing.
Nature Republic Botanical Apple Dome Blusher- Aww!! This is so cute! It's another full size product and it's fun to see makeup in the box. I also really like the Nature Republic brand. Dab this on your cheeks (or lips!) and blend out with your fingers.
Value: $6

Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm- These lip balms are so cute. Koreans know their kawaii and if you lift the whip cream off this confection you'll find lip balm nestled underneath. I have a lemon lime (it's probably officially called Lemon Meringue) version to use up so I'm not opening this one yet. I might give it to my niece since she'd love it.
Value: $5
Skinfood Everyday Mask in Olive- Ooo! So I have another "flavor" of this mask from somewhere and I really like them because they don't have alcohol in them. I don't like to have alcohol sitting on my skin so I'm kinda picky when it comes to sheet masks. This is a cotton mask that fits my face pretty well. They're really juicy so you can use the extra essence for your neck and decolletage.
Value: $1

IOPE Super Vital Extra Moist Eye Cream- A comprehensive wrinkle care eye cream that contains amentoflavone, which improves a wide range of eye contour skin concerns, including wrinkles, dullness and firmness loss.Use a small amount and tap into the delicate undereye area. It's suggested to use your ring finger to do this.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream-samples- Every BCdation box promises the opportunity to test a new BB cream. It may be full, deluxe or sample sized but there will be one in each box. I really like this because it gives me a chance to try some without having to make a decision of my own or spending the full price to find out I hate it.

VERDICT: Love this BCdation Box! This was totally worth it. I like seeing IOPE in deluxe sizes. It's a ridiculously expensive brand. The Super Vital line is more for anti-aging but the Brightgen line is for whitening/darkspots and their Moistgen is for dry and tight skin. I'm pretty impressed so far with the IOPE softener.
Also, even though the BCdation box is supposed to have one full size item, we get three this time! The blush, cleanser and lip balm. I think the only thing I can think of to improve would be a wider brand selection but seriously, that's so minor because there are already four brands represented.
I'm happy they included an information card, too, even though I did like the kbeauty tips of the card in the last box.

If you would like to sign up for the July BCdation box, you can do that here. They also have a shop full of Asian beauty products but if you want to purchase anything, use code BCJN and get $10 off your $50 order (exp 7/31).

What do you think? Good deal for $17? What other Asian beauty subscriptions are you salivating over?

  1. I now am going to be obsessing on if I should get this or not... Your review makes me want it so bad!!!!

    1. It works for me because it's so reasonably priced and I actually like getting deluxe samples since full sizes tend to take me awhile to get through. Plus... kbeauty!

  2. I just got my June box, and I think this may be the best non- Memebox K- skin care and makeup sampler out there. My cleanser is Cherry, and I already have it, the lip balm and the Nature Republic cheek color. :) However, it's fun to have duplicates of items I really like.
I have extremely sensitive skin that used to be dry before I discovered K- skin care one year ago this month, so I would have really liked the Skinfood mask in Olive instead of the Green Tea formula I got.

NOTHING beats K- beauty in sub boxes!! I hope to see more new ones based in the USA in the coming months.:)

    1. It's hard for us *not* to get duplicates because we have a larger than normal kbeauty stash, isn't it? :D I have used a couple of these masks in Green Tea already and I like those. I have two Olive ones now, too, but I figure I'll like them since I like the Green Tea. If only I could get through my mask stash faster! :)

  3. I've given up on using all my masks. Due to two HUGE billing/ shipping errors last winter from 2 Korean retailer, I ended up with 5 times the masks I had actually ordered and paid for ( it was totally freaky).
I now gift my cleaning lady with handfulls of sheet mask packs every time she comes. She works really hard, :)

Best sheet mask I've ever used was a Donkey Milk one from Memebox. They sent me 3 of those by mistake too, now that I think of it, LOL. I'm the human magnet for errant sheet masks. :)
Oh, and I have 2 monthly mask- only subscriptions as I am sure you do too. Adds up in a hurry!!

I LOVE this box and my first MISHIBOX has shipped too. THANK YOU so much for telling us about new K- beauty subs! And the prices are AMAZING. :)

I found a new ( to me) CC cream that you might want to try that's not shiny or gray or a big mess- Holika Holika Aqua Petit in the polka dot tube- shade 02. Just got a tube in an " aqua" bundle from Memebox. It's a wonderful CC cream- very matte and cooling.

    Have a great weekend. :)
