The 3B Box June 2015 Review ~ An Asian Beauty Subscription

The 3B Box is sort of like an Asian beauty version of Birchbox. Only better. I’m always surprised by the sizes that are included in this little box of K-goodies. This month is no exception. I don’t know how they manage to get so many full size products for only $12 a month.

Currently 3B is only shipping to the United States but if you are are interested in encouraging them to ship to your country, head to their website and tell them in the Contact form. I think this box is so much fun that the whole world needs to be able to find them in their mailboxes.

Here’s what I love about this month: Three new-to-me products. Three things that I’ve never tried before. And you know how much kbeauty I have. Lots. I’m too scared to take a picture of all my kbeauty goodness because then I’ll have to admit I have too much.

The Cost: $12/month.

What You Get: Four to five deluxe size Asian beauty samples from Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

Skinfood Aloe Soothing Body Wash-40g- This wash has aloe leaf water and loofah cucumber powder to cleanse away dirt. Cucumber powder? I’ve never heard of this and it only means I have to try this even more immediately. I really like cucumber scented things. This smells very good, light and delicate and it *does* have little gritty bits that must be cucumber pieces. My skin so soft now. I used it to wash my hands.

The front of the bottle says this is 4 Free. Free of Triethanolamine, benzophenone, mineral oil and silicone oil.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream– I’ve actually never tried an Etude House BB Cream. Which is strange considering HOW MANY I’ve tried. I believe the color I received is “Cotton Fit.” Wait, no. That’s apparently a type. The color is W13 and is medium. Darn. I really need the light colors. The sunscreen is provided by titanium dioxide which is great. This really is too dark for me but I also found that it dried my skin out immediately and looked flaky. This is why I love getting samples. BB creams tend to be pretty cheap but it’s still nice to save that money being able to try it like this.

A’Pieu Finger Blusher– There are several colors of this blush, including a highlighter. I received CR02 which is a pretty rose. It’s not too dark and has a little “glow” to it. While I don’t like glowy BB creams, I do like a little in my blush. I’m just getting into cream blushes so I’m by no means an expert but this is pretty easy to use.

It’s Skin Mangowhite Lip & Eye Remover Wipes– This is basically a full size product. It’s the smaller size with 15 wipes. I got these somewhere else… Maybe in a Beauteque BB Bag and ended up loving them. They’re made with green tea extract, olive oil and argan oil. They’re for your lips and eyes but I use them for my whole face. They really get the BB cream off. I think it’s the oil that helps with that. I still follow up with a real cleanser but these are excellent.

VERDICT: One of the best things about sample boxes like this is finding new things. Sometimes it can be hard to truly get things you’ve never tried but this time it really worked for me. I got to try the Etude House BB Cream and find out that I didn’t like it. I love the body wash, it smells amazing and it’s so cheap that I would actually buy it again. The A’Pieu Finger Blusher is actually a pretty big tube so I can’t see myself running out any time soon.

If you would like to sign up for The 3B Box, you can get on the waitlist here. I think the list is about two months long. I know it seems like a long time but it’s really only two boxes. It’s probably shorter now, though. It seems like people have been getting off the list a lot faster now than they were before. You’ll get an email saying you’ve been moved off the list and get the opportunity to pay. If you don’t pay, you stay on the list, if you do, you’re off! So if you at least get your name on the list, you’ll be in line and have a chance to decide again once you get off.
