Kloverbox July 2015 "Cause for Celebration" Subscription Box Review and Coupon Code

Kloverbox is one of my absolute favorite natural, eco-friendly type subscriptions out there. They don't just deal in beauty products but send products to help you be a little more sustainable in all areas of your life. The curator always sends the best stuff! Really! And the price is ridiculously reasonable.

This month is all about your summer skin and it's also a celebration because Kloverbox is now one year old! It's been one whole year of organicky goodness. Congratulations, Kloverbox! Seriously, I love you.

The Cost: $25/month.

What You Get: Receive premium products to sample from top brands and hand-picked by health conscious curators in beauty, health, nutrition and home categories.

Ellison's Organics 3-Free Nail Polish in Kaptivating Koral- Exclusively for Kloverbox, this coral shimmer is gorgeous! It's a really beautiful pinky coral at two coats. It's super easy to work with, too. Love it!
Value: $12
Praerie Botanicals Tonka Body Balm- Tonka beans smell like vanilla to me. Maybe a spicy vanilla (if that even makes sense) and in this body balm it's a wonderfully subtle and complex scent. Pure plant butters and organic virgin coconut oil create an ultra-concentrated body balm that softens, heals, and moisturizes the skin.
It is so smooth and silky! A little goes a very long way and I love the unusual scent. I can't stop opening the lid and breathing it in.
Value: $20
Previse Skincare Sunsheer SPF 30- I really like the Previse serum I got in another box awhile back. They use good ingredients. They aren't cheap so getting a Previse product in a Kloverbox is pretty amazing. Especially when it's valued at well over the entire cost of the box itself.
This sunscreen needed to be shaken well before using it. It might have separated because of the heat? I don't know. Shaking it up returned it to it's natural state. It smooths on easily with a slight white cast because of the mineral sunscreens. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are my preferred method of sunscreen. They tend to go on white because they build a barrier for your skin from the suns rays. So all those UVA/UVB's just bounce off. Always a good thing when you're trying to keep your skin from aging prematurely.
This also smells fantastically orangey. I love it in all the ways a sunscreen can be loved.
Value: $36
FlutterFly Scrubs Sugar Scrub in Coconut Cream- So first things first. This smells AMAZING! As in, I drool when I smell it. I drooled when I used it. I did not drool after I tasted it. Yes, yes. I did. Hey, I looked at the ingredients and they were all real. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to eat essential oils but it was only a tiny taste. I can't help it. Luckily, it wasn't like that time my mom finally let me taste baking vanilla after begging her and begging her. I didn't believe her that it tasted bad. How could it when it smelled so good?! Im pretty sure she laughed when I finally did taste it and gagged.
Not that this scrub tastes bad. It doesn't. It just doesn't taste as good as it smells. Plus, you're not supposed to eat it anyway.
I like sugar scrubs. The only thing I don't like about them is the danger zone they create in the shower. Don't slip. Also, check out her Etsy shop because everything is so reasonably priced (and delicious sounding).
Value:$8.95

VERDICT: Kloverbox wins again!! This is a perfect box for me. I love all the skincare, especially during the summer. August is one of our hottest, sunniest months and all these products will be well-loved by me. I love everything about this box. The fact that these are as organic and natural as possible is a side benefit. I want to slather everything on at once and run around in the backyard. (Clothed, of course, don't get too excited). And with a value over $70, that's a whopping good deal for a box of goodies!

If you would like to sign up for Kloverbox, you totally should sign up right here. Use code BAB10 to get 10% off your subscription.

What did you think of your Kloverbox? And did you taste your scrub? I can't have been the only one... right....? :\

  1. I want everything in this box! And you crack me up about tasting that sugar scrub!! lol

For beauty boxes, I cut back so I'm only getting 1 Birchbox, Ipsy (did a yearly sub back in Feb so at least it's paid for...), Glossybox, BoxyCharm & BeautyFix. I'm also getting 1 more Julep on a 3-month sub deal but then I need to cancel it even though I love it. So that's under $80/ month since Ipsy is paid for... not bad.
But then I still have snack boxes (those are part of my "grocery" budget though so that's ok, right?) Plus I signed up for the GlobeIn Benefit box 3-month deal. That's pretty much it though since I canceled the rest. Oh, except I do buy the Target boxes usually... and I forgot I just added Wal-Mart. I feel like I should cancel 1 more beauty box but can't decide which one. And I really want to add a KBeauty box! And Koverbox or GoodeBox! Stupid box addiction!

    1. I am taking a break from Birchbox (which will only last until the next good coupon code. Really, I don't even know why I bother, haha!), I re-signed up with Ipsy when they had the no waitlist (so that break lasted a whopping 2 months *rolls eyes*). Glossybox is on a break right now, too but they keep sending me deals! I dont know how long I can resist. I'll be signing back up for Boxycharm the second I see a good spoiler, I really like them. And Beautyfix was totally awesome when I emailed about that last box so no cancelling that (I like their products way too much).

But yeah, box addict... that's pretty much me. :*)

    2. I'm glad to hear that Beautyfux had good customer service for you - I do love that box!! Sounds like I should drop Glossybox... At least long enough to get a good offer to go back!

  2. Totally with you on tasting sugar scrubs -- I DO THE SAME THING!! At least I don't feel like the only one :) Tasting baking vanilla though, I haven't experienced that before... I'm kind of loving this curation too! I love anything that smells like vanilla, even if it's spicy vanilla. Plus that polish is gorgeous. I think I want it. I don't think I have anything like it. Or maybe I do? You know your polish collection is getting out of control when you can't remember what colors you have. Because I neeeed to have 50 shades of blue and 50 more of pink. Need to. I don't know why. :-/
