1UpBox August 2015 "Combat" Review and Coupon Code

1UpBox is a geek/gamer subscription box that sends a t-shirt every month along with other nerd-tastic paraphernalia. Since I'm a gamer (or I was) and my husband loves getting the t-shirts, this is one of our favorite gamer boxes.

I think that 1UpBox might be the only one that guarantees a t-shirt each month. I'll have to check that. In any case, I always feel like even if I don't like the collectibles, the t-shirt is worth the cost of the box to begin with.

Funko Vinyl Sugar Dorbz Marvel Series 3" Vinyl Collectible- Wolverine, of course, although there are eleven other figures in this series. I think this one is pretty cute and well, Wolverine is awesome. I wouldn't have minded getting a Scarlet Witch, though. :D

Pokemon Sweatband- Sooo, while I was never into Pokemon because I managed to be a bit too old when the whole phenomenon started, my husband (who, yes, is younger than I am) was all over that. He loves getting these wristbands because he uses them when he works out. He's getting quite a collection now. As long as the dogs don't get to them.

Combat Sticker- Iconic characters from fighting games. Sub-Zero was always my favorite in Mortal Kombat. And Kasumi in DOA. Thanks to Kayley for informing me that these are Smash Brothers characters! :D

Dragonball Z Stress Ball- Self explanatory.

1Up Box Pin- Every box has one of these to commemorate the theme. I collect mine on my PAX lanyard.

Combat PandaPool Patch- It's a sticker that you can iron on. DH says I have to put it on his travel backpack. Hm. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Value: $4?

"Link vs Ink" Mashup T-shirt- Is this Zelda and Splatoon? Link is fighting with an Inkbrush of some sort from the Nintendo game? I don't know but pretty much anything with Legend of Zelda makes me happy so I love this.

Value: $14.99

VERDICT: I thought this was a GREAT box! With a Funk figurine and a T-shirt, the box is basically made. And worth more already than what I paid. I really think that getting a shirt every month makes this box worth it. I wish Loot Crate did this. Or, I guess it doesn't matter because I can just keep getting this box instead.
