Beauteque Head-To-Toe "Skinfood" Bag Review

Beauteque is a US-based Korean beauty retailer. They sell all sorts of Korean brands of skincare and makeup. Each month they also curate a Head-to-Toe bag with a theme and at a very reasonable price. This month the theme is "Skinfood" and all the products are from the Skinfood brand.

This is not a subscription. This is a one time purchase and there will be no re-curring charges. You can however get a Beauteque Monthly BB Bag or Mask Maven which are monthly. You can see those here on this website.

The Head to Toe bag is a curated collection of kbeauty products that changes every month. Once it sells out, it's gone forever so if you see one you like, you need to jump on it.

The bags usually range from about $25 to $30 depending on the contents. Beauteque ships internationally with a fixed shipping fee depending on where you live. They usually have a spoiler for a few of the items but the rest is a mystery (until you read this).  This particular bag is $25 plus shipping.

Skinfood Deep Sea Water Mask- This is a cotton sheet mask with glycerin as a hydrator. It also has several types of algae. No alcohol means this mask goes in my stash. This is considered brightening.
Value: $3

Skinfood My Shortcake Setting Mascara- A mascara to lengthen your lashes. It's also supposed to curl them but I don't see it happening with my lashes.
Value: $3 from Koreadepart, $9 on Amazon
Skinfood Watermelon Embossing Cleansing Tissue- Dissolve makeup, clean up and leave your face hydrated and skin soft. This is a full size package. I love makeup wipes and I'm actually excited to try these. They contain watermelon extract. Unfortunately, they also contain alcohol. I think I'm going to use them anyway because it wont be sitting on my skin. And I like wipes.
Value: $10

Skinfood Glacier Water Gel Mask Sheet- This is another cotton sheet mask that hydrates your skin with glycerin and hyaluronic acid. It also has glacier water in it as well as mint to produce a cooling effect. There is no alcohol in this mask so I'm excited to try it! This is for toning and soothing.
Value: $3
Skinfood Grapeseed Oil Wrinkle Neck Cream- Don't forget your neck when you're moisturizing! I just spread whatever I'm putting on my face down my neck so it usually gets the full treatment. This is a cream with grapeseed oil and adenosine in it. It's a silicon base so your neck will be moisturized and smooth.
Value: $7 on Koreadepart, $9 on Amazon

Skinfood Nail Vita Pineapple Cuticle Cleaner- Use on your fingers and toes to soften your cuticles. Pineapple extract is used to help remove dead skin cells and leave the skin around your fingers hydrated.
Value: $4 on Koreadepart, $8 on Amazon

VERDICT: Skinfood is a very popular brand and has a wide variety of product lines. What do I love most about this bag? I am really happy to see masks without alcohol! It's not easy. The contents of this bag are a little disjointed but there are some of the more unusual Skinfood items. I actually haven't used any of these before. The Pineapple Cuticle Cleaner gets good reviews and heaven knows my cuticles need it. The value isn't exceptional unless you go by US prices. Not everyone wants to buy and wait for all their products to come from Korea so I've listed Amazon prices for some of these. I personally prefer to use Amazon or US based shops just because I don't like waiting forever.

You can buy this exact bag right here on the Beauteque website.

Beauteque has curated some excellent bags in the past. I don't think this is their best representation of curation. I think the BB Bags are getting more of the curation love these days and I do recommend you check them out if you're interested in a Kbeauty subscription. I think for the money, you get the most bang for your buck from the Beauteque BB Bags. It's more expensive than some others but you get more.

Have you ever used a neck wrinkle cream? It's kind of a gimmick but seriously... My neck was the first place I noticed wrinkles and before that it had never even occurred to me to slap retinol and moisturizer there! Dooo it no matter what your age!

  1. All together I like the first picture, makes me want to buy the beautique bag... but when I look closer these things are items I probably already have, not need or don't want :P It's just the packaging of Skinfood is sooooo tempting to shop them xD I once had a neck cream from a memebox and I gave it away since my neck is not wrinkle and same as you I always just smudge the my skincare stuff all the way to my neck as well :)
What I do like to try are those V line jaw masks :D gimmick or not, would be super fun ;)

  2. I used the Cella neck cream that came in a Memebox and really liked it. It was much thicker and more moisturizing than a face cream, but I usually just drag my facial skincare down including serums, etc.

    1. Yeah, that's what I do, too. I only wish I'd thought of it earlier in my life! Haha :D I had an acquaintance tell me not too long ago not to forget the skin under my ears because "if you ever want to get a facelift, that's where the scar will go and it will heal better if you've been good to the skin there." Uhh... well, I'm not planning on a facelift but more moisturizing is always a good thing.

  3. Sarah, when Beauteque releases their Head To Toe ( non- recurring) bags, would you see if you can get free shipping codes for us? :) I think Beauteque's pricing is competitive with Amazon's US sellers except that Amazon always has free shipping with my Prime membership.

Just a suggestion that would definitely increase my buying of the " Head to Toe" type bags again.
    Thanks!

    1. I asked about coupon codes but they aren't issuing any right now.

  4. OK, I found a Beauteque.com discount coupon in a bathroom drawer which covers some shipping. I don't know if this is a OTO use or if I have used it before and put the card back in the drawer, but the coupon code is " SAMPLEBAG", and it gave 10% off the price of the bag before shipping.

Hope this is a slight boon to a few who are ordering this set and may want to save a tiny bit on shipping. I'm all for discount coupons with Beauteque, as my August BB bag and Mask Maven bags still haven't arrived due to both OOS issues which weren't communicated to us as a whole, and a shipping mix up on the other bag. .

  5. I ordered the Skinfood set once I found my coupon. :) I'll definitely like the cleansing tissues, the masks and the night cream.
My mask maven bag and my BB bag arrived today. Looks like the masks are all for acne? I haven't had acne in 40 years, seriously ( I'm 57).
I hope they are gentle enough for general use.

I really like the BB bag this month. :) Do you get both of them? Review time, girl.

    1. I didn't get the BB bag but I think the masks will be fine for everyone. I'm going to try one of the Beauty Friends ones tonight. I like the ingredients.

  6. I really love the Skinfood cleansing tissues- they have a 5.5 or so oh the pH scale, they're huge and very saturated- plus the watermelon scent is awesome! Probably my favorite thing in this bag by far- but I'm also weirdly obsessed with cleansing cloths haha ;)

    1. I like wipes too! Maybe I'm weird but I keep a pack on my nightstand. It's been so hot lately that I just grab one and give my face a wipe to cool off if I'm in bed trying to sleep.
