Scentbird August 2015 Fragrance Subscription Review Plus Free 2nd Month Offer!

Scentbird is one of my favorite newer subscriptions. They send your choice of fragrance to your door in an 8ml purse spray. Your first month will include a black case and faux velvety drawstring sack.

I didn’t know I loved perfume as much as I do until I started subscribing to Scentbird. My biggest issue with perfume is that a huge bottle of it will last me my entire life. And I don’t want to smell the same  my entire life. The frugal in me thinks “Well, I have a huge bottle at home, I don’t really need this other huge bottle.” Hence the reason that before Scentbird, I had a grand total of maybe five perfumes. The Cost:$14.99/month

What You Get: Each month you will receive one 8ml purse spray of the scent of your choice based on your profile.  The first month, you will receive the black atomizer case for the perfume and a carrysack for it.

With Scentbird, that big monetary commitment is negated. For $14.99, I get a vial of exactly what I want. It’s not a huge bottle. It’s not a huge expenditure. I don’t have to feel obligated to use one or two perfumes. No. Now I have more than ten and I am LOVING having so many choices each day. I’m glad I saved all that hypothetical money because now I can spend it and get a variety that is to die for. All in my favorite scents.

Scentbird has an excellent profile/perfume-matching system. With over 350 perfumes to choose from, it’s worked really well for me and I’ve enjoyed the picks I’ve made from their suggestions.

First, you’ll choose favorite scents from several options. This is one of them. Another is based on the time of year you’re looking for. Another is based on occasion. They did a really good job.

Here are some of the picks Scentbird gave me after I filled out my profile. Alien by Thierry Mugler is next in my queue so I should get that next month. Unless I change my mind and do a little switcheroo. It’s really easy to do that in your account.

This month, my choice was Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. Last month I think I got Michael Kors Michael. Which I love. Love, love, love that Michael Kors. Actually, I haven’t hated anything, they’ve all been gorgeous.

Although Scentbird is not affiliated with any of these perfumers, the scents they send are authentic. They buy large jars (called drams) of the perfume and then repackage it. This is completely above board and is the reason you see the notices on their site about not being affiliated with the designer or manufacturer. Scentbird is following the law that requires posting the notice when repackaging perfume. You are not receiving a knockoff. Yay!

VERDICT: Scentbird is so reasonably priced for what you receive. These are quality fragrances, the packaging is compact and portable and the ability to try new perfumes for such a great price is a huge draw. It’s really difficult to unsubscribe. Hence why I’m still getting them. There are more perfumes on my list I need to try!

If you’d like to subscribe to Scentbird, you can do that here and get your 2nd month for FREE! Use code SCENT25 to get 25% off your first month if you don’t want a free second month! I really do love this subscription and recommend it. Their customer service is fantastic, too.

As a subscriber, you’ll also have the option to purchase more cases. Technically, you’re supposed to have enough of the new perfume to last you one month. When your new shipment arrives, they expect your old perfume vial to be empty and you will swap the new one in. Well, that doesn’t happen with me. I don’t douse myself and I love to switch it up. So I have a few extra containers. I like to have one in my purse and one on my counter. You can buy new ones and new colors once you are subscribed. I think they’re overpriced at $12.95 but if you need one, you need one. /sigh
