Popsugar Must Have Fall 2015 Limited Edition Box Review and Coupon Code

Popsugar Must Have releases at least four special, limited edition boxes a year. This is the Fall 2015 Limited Edition and I am so glad I decided to purchase it. These boxes are more spendy than the regular monthly boxes but they tend to be so worth it.

These are not boxes you can subscribe to. You must purchase them separately and do so before they sell out. Usually it takes a day or two for that to happen and if you watch your emails, you’ll get a heads up. The boxes usually cost $100 although sometimes depending on the collaboration they can be more (rarely, less).
It arrives in a sturdy black box that can easily be reused. This one was rather flat and I was surprised it was my Popsugar box but it works. Everything in the box was wrapped. I like that because it feels like you are opening present after present. I did know what was going to be in it but it was still fun to unwrap each box.
Canvas Home Dauville Coasters in Platinum– Porcelain with hand-painted metallic gold or platinum rims. These are perfect. Actually, the inside is painted platinum and is quite shiny and hard. Hopefully glasses don’t slip around. We’ll find out because I’m using these for sure.
Value: $46

Swing Design Valet Tray-The Aura lacquer trays feature dramatic wood grain and high gloss finishes. This has an aquamarine finish. It is very shiny! Very shiny. The bottom is velvety. I should have taken a photo! The bottom is as pretty as the top. And nicely enough, the coasters fit right inside. I haven’t decided what I’m going to use this for quite yet but it is a good size (5×12)
Value: $57

Deepa Gurnani Empress Crown Necklace–  This has a gunmetal metallic chain and is hand embroidered with resin beads using metallic thread. Everything is is stitched onto a suede backing. I wouldn’t pay $90 but it is beautiful, moreso when it’s on than just sitting in a photo.
The leather backing keeps it from moving around which is really nice. I’ll definitely have to wear this. I can’t believe it’s handmade! It also came with a patterned dust bag.
Value: $90

Becca Cosmetics Ombre Rouge Eye Palette– Sculpt, widen, and brighten your eyes with Ombre Rouge Eye Palette. Matte shades provide pigment-rich tones to effortlessly create a variety of looks that go from subtle to bold. These shadows are infused with green coffee oil, which awakens the eyes and smooth the lids, while a built-in priming effect extends the wear of your shadow. With warm and cool undertones that are ideal for all skintones, this palette’s versatile formula can be used wet or dry as an eyeliner.

This is such a gorgeous  neutrals palette. My photos do not do it justice. The palette itself is heavy with a light shimmer. The mirror runs the length of the lid and has no distortion. And the colors! Oh, such beautiful colors. I’m afraid to touch it almost. I feel like I won’t be able to do it justice.
Value: $40

Smith & Cult Nailed Lacquer in No Poem– This is a gunmetal gray. I think I like the container more than the polish itself. The lid has grooves for your fingers when you’re polishing. Not sure how comfortable that would be but hey, it’s aesthetically pleasing! The color is, though, appropriate for Fall.
Value: $18

Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder– This creamy, water-activated exfoliant polishes skin daily to a jewel-like luster. Nourishing Japanese rice bran blends with papaya extracts to address fine lines, uneven skintone, hyperpigmentation, and breakouts. Crushed pearl conditions and balances skin while natural exfoliants gently buff away dullness and dead skin cells—leaving skin perfectly prepared for your favorite serum or moisturizer with more effective results.
This is the only thing I won’t use. I’m just way too lazy for powder cleansers.
Value: $65

VERDICT: I’m very glad I took the plunge with this particular box. These are all things that I can easily incorporate into my home decor and/or use. I particularly love the Swing Tray. The blue is vibrant and the size is just right. I can use it for anything- candles, bud vases, the coasters. I could use it for car keys but that’s no fun. Hah! Having the coasters that match my Dauville bowls is pretty awesome. I have two different sizes of bowls because I received one in my Burke Box as well as in the Popsugar December 2014 boxes. The only thing I won’t use is the Tatcha but that is a highly giftable item. The Becca Cosmetics palette I wasn’t sure about at first but I think I’m keeping it. Those colors are swoon-worthy.

This box is currently sold out but you can always get a mini-dose of happiness by subscribing to the monthly Popsugar Must Have box. They’re $39.99 a month but you can get your first one for $5 off with code MUSTHAVE5. It’s my all time favorite box because it’s so worth it. Sign up here.

What did you think of this box? The retail value was well over $300 but it always comes down to personal preferences.
