So Susan Lip Love September 2015 Beauty Subscription Box Review

So Susan is a London based beauty subscription that delivers worldwide. This is a great option for those who live in countries that don't know how awesome subscription boxes are yet. Since SoSusan is a cosmetics company you will find primarily their own brand in this box. They do have ties to Jelly Pong Pong, as well, since the owner of SoSusan also started JPP.
It's actually a lot of fun and a very reasonable price. The first month, you will be charged shipping on top of the regular cost but subsequent months will not be charged for shipping. I ended up getting a 3 month subscription because they had a pop up deal for a free blush if I spent $30 on their site. Yeah, I'm a sucker. :)

The Cost: $15.95/month

What You Get: Three So Susan and/or Jelly Pong Pong products plus a bonus makeup item and bonus accessory in a canvas cosmetic bag.
Jelly Pong Pong Caribbean Sun Bronzer Duo- I believe this is Bahamas. This is a fragrance-free blush & bronzer duo that gives you a radiant, airbrushed glow with its infusion of healthy Argan & moisturizing Mango Butter. Well, that may be true but these colors look scary to me! Plus, I'm so in love with my Tarte Park Avenue Princess I have pushed all other things to the side.
Value: $25
Trifle Cosmetics Royal Icing- So, I was getting a little confused. The packaging on this looks just like So Susan and just like Jelly Pong Pong. What is going on?! Three companies are the same company? So I hunted around. Apparently I don't get out much. All three makeup lines are made by the same company. A company makes the makeup then sells the formulas. That sort of thing. Apparently the Pixi Glow Tonic is made by Raya Labs and can be purchased much cheaper directly from them. Apparently Kryolan makes Becca Cosmetics products. It also seems to be pretty common.

Anyway, Royal Icing gives you that incandescent, healthy, luminous glow no matter how much you brush on, putting the power of a professional makeup artist into your own hands. The sophisticated, silky powder formula will not cake or crease as it is infused with Jojoba & Apricot oils to keep skin moist & hydrated. Dust as a finishing touch on top of your makeup. Lasts for up to 8 hours.
Value: $18.95
So Susan Featherlash Mascara-This thickening mascara delivers volume, length and long-lasting wear in one stroke. I'm not currently using mascara because I have eyelash extensions (which are basically magic). When I do use mascara, I'm obsessed with my Hope Girl 140 Superlash and am quite stubborn about not using anything else. :D
Value: $22

Bonus UnMask Masquerade Ring- This is a metal adjustable ring with a mask on it. There are apparently lots of colors you could have gotten but mine is white. It's pretty cute and I'm going to wear it for Halloween. Wait til you see my costume!
Value: $11
LipoPout Lipstick in Paris- hahaha! Okay, here's the blurb: "A stunning deep nude that will easily become your beauty staple, this is a rich and wearable shade that can be dramatized for maximum glamour. A subtle lip means you can amp up color on your cheeks and eyes without looking ghostly or washed out."
This color causes my lips to completely disappear. It's the exact color of my skin. It's not stunning, it's like I'm prepping my face for a costume. LOL! If it wasn't so creepy looking, I'd post a photo.
The packaging on this is really adorable but it's made out of paperboard. That weirded me out. I mean, it works and it's cute and colorful but what happens if it gets wet!?
Value: $19

VERDICT: I'll be honest. I don't think these are super high quality cosmetics BUT it is a fun bag for $16. I think it would be a good choice for a young teen. I don't think any of these are worth the high price tag which might sound bad but I actually do think this is a fun bag and I'm glad I got three months. Plus this is an excellent way to get these products for a great price. I don't know that I would get more but I might! I was really impressed with their Statement Skin, so I don't think all their products are bad or anything. It's just... if you're expecting high end, this is not it.

Oh, and I totally forgot to mention that the bags are adorable! I love them! They're sturdy and well made and I love the uplifting quotes on them.

If you want to sign up for SoSusan LipLove, you can do that here. I don't think there are any coupons specific to the subscription but if you click around you might get a pop up that could do you some good. You can get any of the older bags that are available, too. I liked last months bag a lot.

What do you think?
