ToGoSpa Society is a subscription box that sends out their signature line of Eyes by ToGoSpa under eye treatments. They're gel under eye patches dedicated to moisturizing, depuffing and soothing your undereye area. You can modify your subscription to include their full face masks, too. Every month, as part of you monthly Society shipment, you'll receive a "Benefit."The Benefit is an added bonus designed to treat and pamper you. The Benefit will always be full size, spa-related and well recommended.
ToGoSpa Society features their signature under-eye gel patches. These are micro-infused collagen gel pads with aloe, vitamins C and E, amino acids and taurine. Depending on the style, there are other ingredients like green tea extract or coconut extract. Each package has three sets of eye gels.
The ToGoSpa eye gels and face masks contain no parabens, dyes or preservatives and are cruelty free. Remove them from the sealed package and apply under your eyes for 15-20 minutes. Then enjoy the results. I think these are perfect for hot days because they are so cooling.
The Cost: $40/month
What You Get: Five packages of Eyes by ToGoSpa (in a variety or your specific choice) and The Benefit (a full size, spa related product) for that month.
ToGoSpa Eyes in Green Tea- These are my favorite ones. They have aloe vera, green tea extract, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid in them.
ToGoSpa Eyes in Coconut- The coconut pads have coconut extract in addition to the other good stuff like sea algae extract and chitosan. They also have hyaluronic acid in them which is a great hydrator.
ToGoSpa Eyes in Ice Water- These are both cooling and soothing with aloe vera leaf gel, hyaluronic acid and lavender oil.
Pure Inventions Original Green Tea Antioxidant Extract- This is an edible extract. Put a dropper-full in your drink and get some polyphenols! Yay for antioxidants! This particular version appears to be caffeine free which is good since one dropper is the equal of 10 cups of tea. I would be awake for a week! This has the standard 80-90% polyphenols. The label also notes there is 40-50% EGCG, which is one of the most potent polyphenols. Sadly, research shows that it's really hard for the human body to absorb EGCG orally. Without the caffeine, though, this can't hurt and can provide antioxidant benefits along with some anti-inflammatory goodness.
Do not drink it undiluted. Blech! Why did I do that?! It's sweetened with Stevia but it's pretty gross on it's own. Diluted in water, it's actually quite tasty. If you find plain water too difficult to drink, this could be your answer. It adds juuust enough green tea flavor to make water palatable.
Value: $29.95
VERDICT: These ToGoSpa Society eye gels are probably one of the easiest ways to perk up, hydrate and depuff your eyes. I find that these have just the right amount of "juice." Too much and they slide down your face and too little and they just don't hydrate well enough. These are perfect. I like that there is a variety option. It's always nice to have a choice. On a hot day, these babies are magic. You can even refrigerate them for an even more intense cooling effect. I like the clear ones best because they're something you can sneak on in the office without anyone really noticing. :D I think my only critique is that I wish the packages were easier to open. I'm always terrified they're going to go flying right out while I struggle with the foil. They never have, though.
The Benefit is always something fun and unusual. It's a great way to get introduced to new health conscious spa products. I also think it's a fun addition to get a little true surprise every month along with what you already know you're getting.
Getting ToGoSpa Society means you'll pay about $2.50 per treatment. That's not bad considering the excellent ingredients and the lack of parabens and dyes. Plus, it's actually an even better deal because you get the "Benefit," too.
If you would like to sign up for ToGoSpa Society, you can do that here. You can also just buy what you want from their website if a monthly thing isn't your style. My guess is you'll go through them faster than you might think. (I'm wearing some right now... Ahhh).
What do you think of ToGoSpa Society? Do you have a favorite eye gel type? Green Tea, hands down, for me.
*This box was sent complimentary for review purposes. All opinions are mine. I've used these eyegels happily for quite awhile. Affiliate links were used in this post.
I was getting this box then I read that the eye gel patches ( main products) are made in China.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find my comfort zone with them because of the country's history ( and current practices) of reckless storage of substances that are dangerous to living things.
Do you have any reservations using something next to your eyes that's made in China? I really did like the gel masks but then again... I worried every single time.
Amanda
I haven't had any issues with them and I've been using them for awhile now over the course of several months but it is disappointing to see they're made in China.
