Smuggler’s Bounty Star Wars “The First Order” November 2015 Review

is a bi-monthly subscription box by Funko. Everything in it will be licensed, official and all about Star Wars. Much of the product will be exclusive and created with collector’s in mind. This box has a theme of “The First Order” which is probably a little tongue in cheek since this is the very first box. The next box, in January, is themed “The Resistance” and yes, I’m getting it.

Each box focuses on a different part of the Star Wars universe so you’ll never know what you might find inside, only that you’re sure to want to either wear or display it. It does appear that the first two boxes, at least, relate to The Force Awakens, rather than the older versions.

The Cost: $34.99/bi-monthly.

What You Get: Each box includes exclusive products created in partnership by Star Wars & Funko, including apparel, collectibles and accessories worth at least $50 in value. No filler! Each box is intended to be a mystery, and specific themes and products may differ for each delivery.

Exclusive Funko Pop Captain Phasma (Chrome) 91 – So this is awesome because it’s the only way you can get the chrome, super shiny Captain Phasma. I like his cape! He’s pretty awesome and is going on our shelf. It’s getting crowded up there.

Exclusive Funko Pop TIE Fighter Pilot 89– I do have to say that these have some great bobbletasticness. I like the fact that they are on stands, too. Now… I just need to collect them aaaalll! Haha, Funko isn’t dumb, are they? This is just the thing people get hooked on.

StarWars T-Shirt– It’s Captain Phasma, of course. Funko-style. Which you have to admit is cute. It’s 100% cotton which is good because this large is HUGE! It’s cut like a tent. Hopefully it shrinks but I think I’m going to have to change the size to medium.

Funko Star Wars Lanyard

Star Wars Tie Fighter Patch– This is a pretty nice patch! DH wants me to put it on a plain black T-shirt which I think is a pretty good idea. We’ll see how it goes.

Star Wars Kylo Ren Pin

VERDICT: This  box really was awesome! I hate that shipping is so expensive but even then this box evens out on cost. I know they say “no filler!” but I consider the lanyard, patch and pin filler. Either way, if you are a Funko fanatic or a diehard Star Wars fan or if you love collecting things that are difficult for others to get, you prrrrobably need to sign up for this. I like Funko and T shirts and the exclusive nature of the contents make this worth the extra cost. It’s nice that it’s bi-monthly, too.

Sign up at to get in on the January box. The theme is “The Resistance.” I wonder if they’ll only send stuff from The Force Awakens or if we will get something from the oldest versions.

What do you think of this? What do you typically consider filler?
