Barkbox Allergy Friendly Review December 2015 and Free Box Offer

is a subscription box for dogs. This particular box is for dogs with allergies. I love getting it and the boys do, too. Each month has a nice array of toys and treats. In the case of this allergy friendly box, none of the treats will contain beef, chicken, turkey, gluten, wheat, soy, and corn. These are all common allergy triggers and one of my rat terriers, Dexter, cannot process chicken so it’s great knowing that what we get, he will be able to eat.

Usually, each box comes with a specific theme and an information card that explains what’s in the box. Lately, there’s been a card but it only has information about a “featured” toy. I don’t know if that’s because it’s the allergy box or what. I hope they go back to it.

The Cost: $29/month, less with longer subscriptions.

What You Get: Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and occasional hygiene products.  Food items will not include beef, chicken, turkey, gluten, wheat, soy or corn.

Barkmade Gift Box– This is a square squeaker ball with rubber prickle points on it wrapped up in cloth like a present. It has a good but not loud squeak and once Bugsy rips off the outer cloth, it’ll be an interesting square ball.

100% Lamb Ear– This is a small treat made of lamb. Both dogs can eat lamb happily and it was quickly nommed.

These are all natural treats and are free of corn, soy, wheat, etc. These are heart shaped and the boys love them!
Value: $5

Alaska’s Puppy Love Wild Alaskan Salmon Jerky Treats– I don’t really like salmon treats because they tend to smell awful but the dogs love them so I put up with it.
Value: $7.50

Cooper’s Cozy Flannel Wool Coat– This is a woolen toy with an empty water bottle in it. A small water bottle. This toy did not go over well with either of my dogs and I have no idea why. It works out because it makes a good stocking stuffer for our friends’ dog.

Treat Tin– Is it wierd that this might be my favorite thing in the box? I have bags of treats in several places but this will at least eliminate one of them. Probably the one in the kitchen.

VERDICT: Another fun box! I’ve been subscribed for ages and I think I probably always will be. This is definitely a box I enjoy for my dogs’ sake. I do have to admit that I’m overflowing with treats, though. One thing that relieves me is that I don’t have to feel bad about tossing out old raggedy toys. I know more will always be coming. I can’t be the only one who has dog toys strewn around their house…. right? Any toys the boys don’t like get donated to the shelter near my house and are much appreciated.

If you would like to sign up for Barkbox,That is a referral link which will add an extra box to your subscription! Woohoo!

What do you think of Barkbox? There are so many boxes out there for dogs now. I think my favorites are and Barkbox.
