PetGiftBox sends curated and themed boxes of toys and treats for both dogs and cats. This review is for the Small Dog box which is up to 20lbs. If you have a toy type or a dog under ten pounds, you probably already know that getting the right size toys and treats isn't easy and these boxes are likely not going to work for your pup. If you have a 17lb rat terrier, these boxes will be awesome. I have two rat terriers and they both get lots of enjoyment out of their PetGiftBoxes.
These boxes always have a great mix of toys and treats, too. Even better there's a good variety between the toys so you're sure to get at least one that's the kind your dog likes. If your dogs are like mine, most toys get played with unless they're those heavy rubber kind.
The Cost: $28.99/month-to-month down to $18.99/month if you get a year.
What You Get: A themed box of four to six toys and treats for your pet.
Cloud Star Soft and Chewy Gingerbread Treats- Wheat, corn and soy free, these treats are made in the USA and are great for training. They're little gingerbread men!
Value: $6
PetGiftBox Holiday Blend- 100% natural pet treats! These are freeze dried bits of beef but also in the bag were two huge trachea (?), one for each of the boys. They chewed voraciously on them.
Value: $10
Zippy Paws Holiday Scarf- Now THIS is cute!! Too bad I didn't get it before Christmas! This has a little loop you push the bobble end through instead of a tie. Love it and it fits the boys perfectly. I'm saving it for next Christmas.
Value: $6
Pet House Candle Holidays Fur All- This candle is made with an odor neutralizer, along with Christmassy scents like cinnamon and clove. It's soy with a 12 hour burn time. I'm going to keep my Christmas going with this one. Best smells ever!
Value: $3.49
Bundle Up Buddy- This snowman is so cute, I'm not letting the dogs chew it up. I know. Is that wrong of me?? It's too cute to get mangled. I could use it for Christmas decorating! It's going in the storage bins with the other ornaments and doodads.
Value: $10
VERDICT: This box was SO cute! PetGiftBox really does it right with their themes. I also thought the addition of that odor neutralizing candle was amazing! I've never received anything like that in my dog boxes. The other nice thing is that PetGiftBox sends toys and treats that haven't appeared in my other boxes. There's always a variety and if you like accessory type extras, PetGiftBox has the market corner on that, for sure.
I never thought I would love boxes for the dogs as much as I do. It's so much fun to give the boys new toys that I would never think to buy and all sorts of treats from boutiques and small businesses that I would never be able to find.
If you would like to sign up for PetGiftBox, you can do that here. Use coupon code BITSANDBOXES to get 25% off your first month.
What do you think of boxes for your dogs? Or cats! I think dogs would find them more interesting than cats would (my cats were notoriously picky).
