I've been subscribed to Something Snacks for a year now. They send both familiar and more unique snacks each month which I like. Mostly because it means I know there will be something I will likely enjoy no matter what. They tend to have more unusual snacks, too. Things you won't have received in a different snackbox.
The Cost: $13/month
What You Get: Each box will contain 7 new and tasty, hand selected snacks. You can expect something familiar and something more out of the ordinary.
Deer River Rosemary and Olive Oil Kettle Chips- Tasty potato chips that taste like.... rosemary! Crunchy and delicious.
Nancy's Candy Co Peppermint White Chocolate Pretzel- This goes to my sister. She loves pretzels and white chocolate. It's one of the few things she will actually eat. And it's sort of a tradition for me to get her chocolate dipped pretzels for Christmas.
Alpine Valley Kitchen Peppermint Bark Dark Chocolate- I don't think mine is dark chocolate (bummer!) but I would save this for my mom anyway because she loves (LOVES) peppermint bark. She'll be happy to have this.
Walker's Chocolate Chip Shortbread- While I don't really like the regular (plain) Walker's shortbread, I do like the chocolate chip so I stashed this away for myself.
Santa Gourmet Christmas Cookie- A Santa shaped cookie perfect for this month. I don't know that I would say these were gourmet but I didn't test it. This is cute enough for a kid to appreciate so I have to give it to a kid.
Emily's Milk Chocolate Covered Graham Cracker- SO GOOD! It's a pretty dark milk chocolate and I love chocolate covered graham crackers so this was the first thing I opened. It's pretty sweet, though. Really sweet. So I had a few bites and put it away for later.
Googoo Cluster- I've heard about these but never actually had one so I was pretty excited to try it. My first impression is that it's insanely sweet. It almost made my teeth hurt. It was a lot gooier than I was expecting (I guess it's called "googoo" for a reason). I don't know why but I was expecting it to be really crunchy with.... something. It does have peanuts in it.
VERDICT: This was a very festive box! I like how Something Snacks always does a nod to holidays during the month the box is delivered. It makes it fun! I'm not surprised there is a surfiet of chocolate this month but I do wish there was at least one more savory snack. I'm definitely more on the salty, crunchy side of the snack spectrum however chocolate and sweets lovers will really enjoy this box.
