Treats Box Premium December 2015 Review and Coupon Code

Treats Box is a newer subscription that sends snacks based on a specific country or region each month. This review is for the larger Premium Premium Pack. There's always a variety of salty and sweet, which I appreciate since I tend to be a more of a savory snacker than a chocolate one.

This month, the treats are from Germany!

The Cost: $13.95/month for Standard, $25.95/month for Premium

What You Get: Either 4-8 or 8-12 fun treats and snacks from around the world.  Each month's box will feature snacks from a different country in the world.

Ferrero Hanuta Hazelnut Wafers- More hazelnut! More wafer! I like wafers but hazelnut isn't really my thing. That's okay, though, because my husband loves it. He loved all these things and was glad he didn't have to share with me.

Kinder Chocolate by Ferrero- Ferrero is actually an Italian company but Kinder was started in Germany before it was purchased a year later by Ferrero. It's well known for it's chocolate hazelnut snacks. These are individually wrapped Chocolate sticks with a creamy filling. It's suggested to try them frozen.
Kinder Bueno by Ferrero- Crispy chocolate covered wafer bars with hazelnut. Yum!

ChocoMoo by Milka- Chocolate covered cow cookies. Crispy and delicious. :)
Lorenz NicNacs- MY FAVORITE! These were SO good and it was so nice to get such a big bag of them. These are peanuts with a crunchy outter shell that's flavored like... meat or something. I don't know but it was a really good flavor and I ate the whole bag. Not at once even though I could have.

Haribo Smurf Gummies- Haha! These were so good but suuuper stick-in-your-teeth. I like Haribo and especially their gold bears.
Lorenz Pomsticks in Sour Cream- These were okay. They're super skinny sticks which I like but there is a taste that I don't care for. It might be the oil that's used. Still, this is a huge bag!
Lorenz Crunchips in Paprika- This is a really common flavor in Europe. It's sort of like barbeque but more smoky and less sweet. I suppose it makes sense because barbeque is kind of a "thing" here and we also have a fascination with BBQ sauce.

VERDICT: This box seemed a little light to me. I'm used to getting so many multiples in the larger box. However I did discover my new favorite thing (Nic Nacs) and ordered more from Amazon. Of course part of it could be that I don't like hazelnut so many of these things were something I wanted to eat. My husband was quite happy, though. I would have liked to see more variety in flavors.

While this box wasn't my favorite, the past boxes have blown me away with thier contents, variety and quantity. I think it's a great subscription and if you're looking for a snack box that sends international snacks from more than just Japan, this could be what you're looking for.
