Anyway, Popsugar is one of the few subscriptions that send everything from home goods to lipstick. Plus, you get full size products which is always awesome.
The Cost: $39.99/month
What You Get: Five luxury deluxe sized beauty essentials, from both well-known and emerging brands, delivered to your door each month.
Pehr Designs Pebble Speck Bin- This is a tough cotton bin for storing things. I don't have any that are this cute but I can always find a use for one. I might use it for scarves like it suggests or maybe my sheet mask stash. I have a lot of those. Or I could use it for all my clutches. I've been getting a lot of those lately.
Value: $40
Spark Joy by Marie Kondo- I was not happy that someone stuck a Popsugar sticker to the front cover. I need a way to get that sticky crap off without ruining the book. I'm not a super organizer (or super tidy) but I'm interested to at least skim this book for fun ideas even if I don't dig down into it. I have to admit that it's a pretty great addition to a January box.
Value:$12
Patchology FlashMasque Trio- I really, really like Patchology masks. I think they're way too expensive but the ingredients are great. I think the Hydrate is my favorite because it's the only one I've used so far but I was impressed with the immediate results. Not every mask is actually good at moisturizing. And I won't wear ones that have alcohol in them because of my dry skin. It becomes a desert.
Value: $20
Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner- This is such a pretty planner! I already bought an Erin Condren one, so I don't need this but I really like the way it is set up. The only thing I don't like is that I prefer a spiral binding.
Value: $16
Not Soap, Radio Bath and Shower Gel Gift Set- Alright, let's get the obvious over with... The name of this company is terrible. This is a set of shower gels in five different scents. I've received a bottle of this brands' shower gel before but I haven't used it. Any thoughts on it?
Value: $22
Chapstick Total Hydration 100% Natural Soothing Vanilla- This is a special extra and isn't valued as part of the box. I freely admit that I love this Chapstick. I got it in an Allure box and after I tried it, it went to the top of my "lip glosses I love" list. This has THE perfect consistency. It's exactly the kind I like. And it smells good. *slathers Chapstick everywhere*
Project 7, Inc Summer Snow Sugar Free Gum- While I really would have rathered have a crunchy snack or a tasty chocolate, it is January and the time when everyone is determined to lose weight and/or eat better. So I understand the gum. Just because I get it doesn't mean I don't still want something a little more substantial, healthy or not.
Value: $2
VERDICT: Once again Popsugar has added some wonderful products to my stash and home. It never fails. Even when I think a box is kinda boring, I discover later that it has some of the most useful things. That Pehr Bin is adorable and perfect and something you really won't find in any other subscription box. I look forward to this box every single month partly because of that. This is one of the more expensive boxes at $40/month but I always feel like it's worth it. At the very least, if I don't like something, it's always gift-worthy.
If you would like to sign up for Popsugar, you can do that here. Use code REFER5 or MUSTHAVE5 to get $5 off your first box.
I think there are still some January boxes left so if you want this exact one, hurry. It will say when you go to sign up which box is currently available.

Whoa, how sad that they stuck a freaking PS sticker on your book!
ReplyDeleteI'm probably going to unload my book on my cleaning lady, who is always flying somewhere exotic ( she has unlimited world flight miles as a perk for retirement from American Airlines).
I thought with as much packing she has to do for the cruises and world jaunts, the book might help her pack better I really have no idea though. I just know that every time I have a book similar to this, I throw away things that I SHOULD keep- like my birth certificate. Yes, this really happened the last time I re-organized drawer space. Now, I'm happy with my own brand of slightly messy.
I had a full sized bottle of that Not Soap, Radio stuff because I thought I would like it after getting a sample in Birchbox. Well, NO, I was wrong. It make my body skin feel extremely taut and dry every time I used it. I ended up having to do some Aveeno Oatmeal soaks in the tub to get my skin back to its usual soft comfortable state. I can't recommend it for anyone with sensitive or even slightly dry skin in the winter time.
I've never had a bound planner before. I bought a Kate Spade pocket size refillable planner and address book ( very pretty and tiny- fits in purses) and get really expensive refills for it every year. It's leather and a mix between this shade and the leather-ette jewel box thing we got a couple of months ago.
I think I'm going to use this one as a fitness diary- despite my new Jawbone from the PS Fitness box. :) I'm used to being accountable by writing the numbers down every day ( or every other day or once a week, or....)
Did you get the Fitness box? It and the Luxor box were my favorite boxes by far this month. This is a very nice PSMH monthly box though!! It's colorful which is really cheerful with all the drab of winter.
Also, the Birchbox fitness box is really worth the price for the water bottle alone. I used all my points and closed all my BB accounts. :)

I completely missed out on the Fitness box. For some reason I checked my email later than usual and by the time I did, the box was sold out. It wasn't even that long after the email went out! But my friend was lucky enough to grab one because she was paying attention. I've got her so hooked on Popsugar she buys them all.
DeleteIt's good to have a fitness diary. When you look back you can be proud of everything you did. I still use the citrus Zinger we got in a PS box so long ago. Love that thing.
I used all my points and closed my BB accounts too but that didn't last long. I like spending points and I couldn't resist $80 for a whole year. It's basically paying me to get BB when you factor in the points. :D
Seriously, what the hell is the name of that brand about?!
ReplyDeleteIt's nonsensical and gives no indication of what the brand even is! It's apparently the punchline from a made up childhood joke between the owners. >.<
DeleteHa, I call it Radio, Not Soap most of the time.
ReplyDeleteThe labels on the full sized ( not sure about these) bottles continue the craziness as far as scent and use goes, so I think they're just a bunch of stoners who got together and made up some fairly harsh and basic ( except for color and name) shower gels. JMO.

How do you spell " Gimmick"? :)
