The 3B Box Asian Beauty Subscription Review January 2016

The 3B Box sends beauty and skincare products from Korea, Japan and Taiwan right to your door every month. It's a subscription I love for it's great price and interesting products. They tend to source some of the more familiar brands along with a few unusual or harder-to-find products which makes this a constant surprise.
This month features one of my all-time favorite products and I'm super happy for all the people who get to try it that may not have yet had the opportunity.

The best way for me to describe this box is as an Asian beauty Birchbox. It's usually deluxe size samples but lately there's been some serious full size goodies.

The Cost: $12/month

What You Get: Four to five deluxe size Asian beauty samples from Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

Petitfree Dry Essence Foot Pack- This is a hydrating mask for your feet! It's stocked up with shea butter, sunflower oil, aloe vera and sodium hyaluronate to give you the softest, most moisturized feet ever. I like this kind of mask although I haven't had super good luck with getting amazingly soft feet. Maybe this one will be the answer.
3W Clinic Collagen Whitening Essence- Don't let the word "whitening" scare you. It's just another word for "brightening." You won't be bleaching your skin. Instead, because of the niacinamide in this product, you'll be evening out your skintone and diminishing dark spots!
Water, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Styrene/VP Copolyme, Triethanol amine, PPG-2, Deceth-12, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Prunus Mume Fruit Water, Hydrolyzed collagen, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Witch Hazel Extract, Allantoin
CosRx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence- Eeee! I love this stuff! And while normally I turn up my nose at foils, there are so many of these I don't mind. I'm also going to take them with me when I head to Ireland so it works out. I don't really want to schlep all my big bottles there so this is perfect. Read all about it here.
Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Arginine, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol

Missha Speedy Solution Eye Gel Patch- I've sort of become addicted to undereye gels. These say they'll get rid of your dark circles, your puffiness and your dry papery skin. We'll see! They'll certainly moisturize but the jury is out on the circles.
Water Glycerin Ceratonia Siliqua Gum Trehalose Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Sodium Hyaluronate Beta-Glucan Portulaca Oleracea Extract Hydrolyzed Collagen Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate Phenoxyethanol Methylparaben Propylparaben Potassium Hydroxide Disodium EDTA Castanea Sativa (Chestnut) Shell Extract Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract
Botanic Farms Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet- This is like the Banila Co. Clean It Zero. It's a oil balm (or sherbet, I suppose) that melts as you massage it onto your dry face. It's for removing makeup and you can then rinse or wipe off the excess. I don't really like balms like this. I prefer a straight up oil. I currently use the Innisfree Juicy Apple. I like it but I hate it's container (it leaks everywhere).

VERDICT: It's hard not to love 3B. They're one of the few Asian beauty subscriptions on the market and they are absolutely the most affordable. I do think it's worth it, for sure. Especially if you're curious or trying to build up a stash. Or if you just want to get your hands on things you might not be able to get in the states.
If you would like to sign up for The 3B Box, you can do that here. They are operating on a waitlist so you'll be added to the list. When you are moved off the list, they'll send you an email and you sign up via a link in it. If you're even remotely interested, I think you need to get your name on the list. You'll have another opportunity to decide once you get the "You're off the Waitlist" email.

  1. Can 3B get any better?! I wish they included more makeup though. I prefer the Botanic Farms to Banila Co. It has serious makeup-removing power and plus they are suppose to be all "natural".

    1. I also was thinking a little more makeup might be nice to round out a month. But I'm far more partial (and interested) in their skincare. I just don't think their makeup stacks up well against what we can already get. Not all of it, of course, but a majority. The Clio Kill Liner is pretty fantastic.

  2. Awesome box!! Why have I avoided getting on this waitlist for over 6 months?!? Because I thought I was being "good" by not adding another sub when apparently I'm being "stupid." Argh!

    1. Just get your name on the list! It might take two months and you can decide then. I don't think they take your name off the list if you decide not to sign up that particular month but you could contact them and ask.
      And you *are* being good!
