Trendy Butler January 2016 Menswear Subscription Box Review and Coupon

Trendy Butler is a menswear subscription that sends good quality, stylish apparel to your door every month. When you sign up, you will fill out a profile indicating what you are looking for (or what you would like to avoid). Trendy Butler then picks out what you might like, packs it up sends it on it's way.

Based on what we've received so far, I would say the clothing tends to lean on the small sizes. If you are lean or athletic, you'll have success receiving clothing that fits well. My husband is 6'1" with very broad shoulders and he has trouble with fit sometimes. I think I would categorize the clothing style as metro or euro and slimfit. I love that look but my husband has been leaning away from it as he's gotten older. Since I only have my husband to base the fit on, feel free to comment on how you felt the fit worked for you.

The Cost: $65/month

What You Get: One to three high quality menswear items worth at least $150 styled according to your profile and sent to your door each month.

Here's what we received in our January 2016 box.

We received three shirts of varying styles and brands. One thing I've been consistently happy with is the quality of the clothing that Trendy Butler sources. There hasn't been a single thing that was poorly made or of shoddy material. It's one of the reasons I prefer Trendy Butler over FiveFour Club.
PX Los Angeles Liam Henley- This is a long sleeve cotton henley in an Oatmeal Heather print. The sleeves are navy blue.
The detailing is perfect and the cut of the fabric has a nice drape to it.
Here's a photo of it on from the PX website. The back does hang longer than the front but only by an inch. The above photo makes it look a lot more dramatic that it actually is.
It's a little lightweight to be sending in the winter but it's a great shirt.
Value: $42
Scott Free USA Tee- This is a 100% cotton lightweight t-shirt. It's pretty thin but it's very soft.
I believe that this was made specifically for Trendy Butler by Scott Free USA. It's always nice to discover a new brand, too. Not much to say about this because it's just a t-shirt. :)
Value: $25
Cohesive and Co. Allan Featherweight Thermal Hoodie- This is a brand that we discovered via Trendy Butler. I like the quality and attention to detail on this and other apparel we've received from this company. It does pop up a lot in boxes so I expect you'll see it too, if you order.
I received the Navy version and I'm happy about that. This is a fabric that has been through the "burnout" process. Burnout provides a unique, distressed look to the fabric. It also means that some portions of the fabric will be very thin. Don't worry, it's supposed to do that.
This was not my husbands favorite. Why? Because he didn't like the quilting on the kangaroo pocket. I'm still going to try to get him to wear it because I like it. We'll see how that goes...
Value: $113

VERDICT: I really do think the clothing that Trendy Butler is good quality and I tend to like the styles more often than not. I would hope to see more new brands in the coming months just because that means more variety and different fits. I believe you can even be sent jeans, though I havent received any. The retail value for the clothing in this box was over $150 which is great. I do wish the season was taken into account, though.

I'm not positive on how returns work since they've changed it since I last subscribed but I know you can do it. Or exchange for a different size if they have it. I believe you can only do that for one item per box. I'd like to at least see an all or nothing type of return program just because it doesn't seem fair that you can only exchange one item for fit issues. I have a feeling customer service might work it out, though.
This is a new company and I think they're still working out the kinks. I've definitely had issues with receiving my box on time when they first launched. Hopefully that has been fixed.

If you would like to check out Trendy Butler, you can do that here. Use code BITS10 to get $10 off your first shipment.

Have you subscribed to Trendy Butler? What do you think? And how would you describe the clothing styles?
