The Cost: $10/month
What You Get: Five samples and sometimes full size items, including everything from makeup and skin care to non beauty essentials like candles and tea. Plus a really great points program.
Wilma Schumann Skincare Hydrating Collagen Eye Pad- If you've never used an undereye gel pad, I highly recommend it. They won't do everything they claim but they will (usually) moisturizer the undereye area enough to get rid of fine lines. The coolness of the pad can also help depuff your undereyes as well. These are pretty simple and contain glycerin and hyaluronic acid for moisturization. They also have rosehip oil which is high in antioxidants and provitamin A. Too bad there's only one pair!
Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio- I'm not sure if I've used Smashbox shadows before. I don't think I have although I have tried other products by this brand. I'm a little sad I didn't get the rose/plum colors (not that I need more of them, seriously!) but these are handy for travel. I do wear neutrals fairly often. Of course, it's hard to compete with my Naked palettes.
PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Smoothing Blowout Spray- This smells SO good! A lightweight spritz adds instant volume and luster while protecting hair from heat damage. Did I mention that this smells amazing?! I was so sad when whatever it was by this brand that I got last time leaked and I couldn't use it. Mainly because it smelled so so so good!
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream- This is a serious moisturizer with glycerin, squalane and a troop of oils like sweet almond, apricot and avocado. I'm not sure I've ever tried this one so I'll have to test it on my horribly dry skin and see how it goes.
Milk Makeup Lip Color- This demi-matte formula lasts while hydrating and softening lips with shea butter and coconut oil. It says it has a 30% pigment load meaning one swipe should do the trick. Has anybody heard of this brand outside of Birchbox? I haven't. That's not saying much but still. I think this color is called cream and it's quite pretty.
If you would like to sign up for Birchbox, you can do that here. Remember to review each of your items online to get your Birchbox points! It's basically free money. :) I just need to decide what I want from the fifty million things on my wishlist!
What did you get in your Birchbox this month? What was your favorite product?

One of my boxes was the box you received, and my favorite product thus far is the Kiehl's face cream. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like it.
I got the brown shadows too. I haven't seen the plum/ pink trio at all, just a ton of brown.
It was a nice Birchbox. :)

Milk Makeup is a very new brand, I think. They just started carrying them at Sephora earlier this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for some products for myself. This is the great recommendation. Thanks.
