Glossybox March 2016 Beauty Box Review and Coupon Codes

Glossybox is one of the more popular beauty boxes available in the US. There tends to be a nice combination of brands, full size products and deluxe samples so no matter what you get, you’ll be able to make a good decision about whether you like it or not. I always hate getting samples so tiny you can only use it once.

This month’s Glossybox is pretty great. I saw some box photos on Instagram and I was pretty excited about it. I tend to subscribe to Glossybox on and off just because I can get overwhelmed with beauty products sometimes.

The Cost: $21/month

What You Get: Five luxury deluxe sized beauty essentials, from both well-known and emerging brands, delivered to your door each month.

I Love… Cosmetics Super Soft Hand Cream in Coconut & Cream

When I first opened the box, it smelled like coconut and I almost started drooling. I think there were several different types you could receive but I’m pretty happy with this one. It’s moisturizing, smells amazing and sinks in without greasiness. Mmm!

Vine Vera Resveratrol Merlot Moisture Day Cream

I love the fact that there are two of these. The more the merrier, am I right? I’ve included the ingredients for this cream so you can see what’s in it. Nothing super special or outrageous. Resveratrol studies say that while it is an antioxidant, in order for it to be any use, you might as well just drink a gallon of wine for it to have an effect. It also doesn’t efficiently pass the skin barrier so it’s better to just drink it, not apply it to your face.
This is also fairly fragranced. It smells good but I’m not a fan of loads of fragrance in my skincare. As for the regular price? It’s absolutely ridiculous for what’s actually in it.
Ingredients:
Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Helianthus Annuus Seed oil, Captylic/Capric Triglyceride, Betaine Monohydrate, Isopropy Myristate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Butyrospermum Parkii Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Petrolatum, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium PCA, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Pitchea/Resveratrol Ferment Extract, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Fragrance, Methylisothiazolinone, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Disodium EDTA, BHT.

Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush

I feel like I have another brush by this brand. I’m not complaining because I need a new angled brush. The one I have doesn’t have enough bristles and the other one has too many. This one is perfect.
Value: $16

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner

I like the Eyeko brand for liquid liners but I’m starting to get and overflowing eyeliner drawer. It’s inevitable when you get too many beauty boxes– hence the reason I sub and unsub. However, if I’m going to get any eyeliner, I’m happy it’s Eyeko, I’m happy it’s liquid and I’m even happy it’s black.
Value: $20

TooFaced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua

I have a sneaking suspicion that I have this color already. Before I open it, I have to check and make sure. As much as I like the color, I really don’t go through lipstick so fast that I need two! It has a velvety foot with a hole in the middle that dispenses the creamy lip liquid. You really don’t need much, a little goes a long way. It’s sort of a cross between a stain and a lipstick. I like it!

VERDICT

This particular Glossybox had my name written all over it. So many things I am glad to have and will definitely use and enjoy. Even the Vine Vera, although it won’t go on my face. I do think that Glossybox tends to have plenty of luxury brands and good sized products included. If you’re looking for a good, well rounded beauty box, you should try Glossybox.

If you’d like to sign up for Glossybox, you can do that here. Get a Doucce Wear Gloss Lip Gloss ($24 value) with code GLOSSYLIP or an Ardency Modster Eye Powder ($32 value) with code EYEPOWDER. New subscribers only, I think.

What color Melted did you get in your box? I’m curious if they were all the same.
