Introducing Solshines360 ~ An Eco-friendly, Natural Subscription Box

Solshines360 is focused on sending monthly shipments of natural, eco-friendly and organic products. Your box will be filled with artisan crafted, eco-friendly, all natural products that support the small business community. This is a new subscription that has a lot of potential.

"Our mission is to deliver feel good products while encouraging a more sustainable economy."

I received a January 2016 "Celebration" box to review for my awesome readers. This box is available as a separate purchase if you would like to try any of the products for yourself. There was no information card included so I looked up each of the artisans included in order to tell you a little bit more about what's included.

The Cost: $36/month

What You Get: The curator of Solshines360 plans to have about seven items per box with a goal of one food/beverage item, one candle, one soap and several beauty samples. A candle in every box!? That sounds amazing!
Tru Melange Candle in Vanilla Chai- This candle smells fantastic! It's a blend of beeswax and soy to give the longest burn time with the best throw. I think this must be a holiday scent because it doesn't appear to be available any longer on their website. But if you're looking for some aromatherapy candles, there are plenty available on the site.
Value: $4
Acara Skincare- These are two samples from Acara Skincare. Acara Skincare focuses on using only natural ingredients and purchases only from certified organic vendors. You won't find any unnecessary chemicals, preservatives, dyes, or synthetic fragrances.
The Mango Butter is extracted from the fruit kernels of the Mango tree. This butter is solid at room temperatures but melts upon contact with skin. It's emollient and rich in essential fatty acids, as well. It will absorb into your skin without greasiness.
The Clay Face Mask has a fun ingredients list:  Ingredients:  A mixture of 100% all natural clays:  calcium bentonite (U.S.), rhassoul (Morocco), rose kaolin (France), white kaolin (France),   Dead Sea mud (Israel). It's suggested this is suitable for combination skin.
Taspens Organics- This company is about holistic wellness and their products reflect that. The Face Cream is made with sweet almond oil, coconut oil and aloe vera among other things. It sadly also includes lavender essential oil which I am allergic to (and can also be an irritant for those with sensitive skins).
The Vitamin C Wrinkle Serum is made with sweet almond, avocado, apricot and several other oils. The key ingredient is rosehip oil which is packed with essential fatty acids, vitamin E, vitamin C and B-carotene, a form of vitamin A. Vitamin C helps with cell turnover so your skin will look brighter. If you don't already incorporate a product with Vitamin C in it, you should!
WooBamboo Soft Toothbrush- WooBamboo handles are sustainably grown, organic, and biodegradable. The goal is to reduce the amount of plastic toothbrushes that make it into the landfills.
Value: $4

My Magic Mud Whitening Tooth Powder- This is made from activated coconut shell charcoal and calcium bentonite clay. This type of tooth powder has been making the rounds lately. Yes it will whiten your teeth but its messy. It's "detox" properties are another story.
Pukka Love Tea- One herbal tea bag with rose, chamomile and lavender.

Soul Salve Soap- This bar is made from coconut oil and cacao butter which gives it a slightly chocolaty scent. It's vegan, all natural and 100% biodegradable.

If you're interested in finding out more about this box, you can head to www.solshines360.com and peruse their site. If subscriptions aren't currently open, they should be shortly. There is also a shop featuring products from global artisans available for purchase. It's expected to expand as subscriptions progress. Use code BitsandBoxes for 10% off!

Also, Solshines360 is planning to offer a Global subscription that will feature products from around the world beginning with Brazil and Golden Grass. Global boxes will start at around $46 and should be up for subscriptions soon.

VERDICT: This subscription is very new and I do see potential. I would be happy if there was an information card to accompany the products included and possibly a theme so the items feel a little more cohesive. The value on this box is low and at this price point it would be appropriate to have at least one more full size product. I'm guessing this will be sorted out as subscriptions progress. I like seeing the inclusion of new brands since sometimes it seems like other natural boxes tend to use the same brands over and over. These were all new to me which was great.

*This box was sent complimentary for review purposes. All opinions are mine.
