The 3B Box March 2016 Asian Beauty Subscription Box Review

The 3B Box sends boxes of beauty products from Japan, Korea and Taiwan right to your door. You'll get deluxe size samples and sometimes full size products. It's been a lot of fun and I've appreciated the brands they include a lot. It's also really reasonably priced so it's hard to let go of.
I think this is a great subscription for those who love Asian skincare. There are occasional makeup items but the emphasis is definitely on introducing you to the intricacies of the Asian skincare routine.

The Cost: $12/month

What You Get: 4-5 beauty samples with some full size items from the best and most popular Asian brands.

Dermal Dream Sea Cucumber Supreme Mask- This is a Korean brand and it has all sorts of good stuff in it. I've put this in my stash because it has no alcohol in it. I cannot tell you what a lifesaver sheet masks can be for your skin. I spent 16 hours on a plane which dried my skin out horribly. One Benton Snail Bee High Content Sheet Mask later and my skin was plump and glowing. I'm never taking a plane trip without having sheet masks stashed somewhere. Miracle workers, for sure.
Cosrx Blackhead Silk Finger Balls- These are supposed to use the silk fibers to scrub out your blackheads. Soak them in water for 2 minutes, put it on your finger then massage desired area. I have some of these already and I still haven't used them. I need to because they're fun and unusual.
Secret Key Witch Hazel Pore Clear Toner- I like the Secret Key brand and I love seeing a full size product like this in a box that is so reasonably priced. This toner is good for oily or combination skin and will help control oil while cleansing. It's an astringent antiseptic so it can help acne prone skin, too. Douse a cotton round or ball and swipe over your clean face before moisturizing.

Skinfood My Shortcake Setting Mascara- This is a full size mascara which is nice. It's popped up a few times in other subscription boxes of this type. I haven't used it because I'm currently hooked on a Hope Girl mascara.

VERDICT: So I was pretty bummed by last month's box but generally The 3B Box tends to be worth it. I think it's an especially good subscription for those just getting into kbeauty or just discovering Asian beauty and how much fun it can be. Diehard fans will probably receive a lot of repeats of what they've already got in their collection.
I like the combination of useful and strange. Who knew sea cucumber extract could be in a mask? Or that snail could be so awesome?

If you would like to sign up for The 3B Box, you can do that here. As far as I know there has never been any coupons but the price is pretty low to begin with.

What do you think of 3B? Have you discovered anything interesting?

  1. Ok, 3B doesn't ship to Canada but I ran to ebay and got those silk finger balls because how weird and cool are they?! I have to try them!

    1. I totally agree!! I need to put them out on my counter right now so I actually use them!
