Covet Crate Lady Boss Subscription Box April 2016 plus Coupon Code

Covet Crate is a fairly new subscription that caters toward professional women. The premise for the box is to empower, motivate and inspire women in their careers and everyday lives.
I am always up for a little inspiration and the fun products included in past boxes inspired me to subscribe (see what I did there?).The goal of the curators is not just to provide style accessories, office decor, beauty products and whatever else they think will be fun but also experiences so there will occasionally be things like discounts for online courses.
The theme this month is "Working on my Fitness" and features a short article about Jackie Joyner-Kersee, one of the most decorated female athletes in Olympic track and field history. She's basically a lady boss. I remember learning about her when I was in school.
The items included in the box this month are designed to complement your fitness routine and encourage you to use them in your everyday life.

The Cost: $84.95/month for the Lady Boss; $49.99/month for the Girl Boss

What You Get:  Items include things such as: office supplies and accessories, stationery, office decor, style accessories, beauty and skincare items, office snacks, books, discounts (on things such as business/life coaching, classes, etc.), and anything else that may empower, motivate, inspire, and encourage you!

Pocket Jotter- My favorite colors and it's made for Covet Crate. It's blank inside which is a bummer because this listmaker loves lines in her notebooks! However it's cute and useful so I'm good. It's about 4 x 6 and has quite a few pages.
Value: ?

Kate Spade NY Glass Water Bottle- I like Kate Spade for her handbags. Sadly, the original designer herself is no longer associated with the brand and it was taken over by Liz Claiborne (basically) in 2007. Why did Kate sell her business? She became a full time mom!
Anyway, since being taken over, the brand has expanded exponentially and now is even making things like water bottles! I got a super cute polka dot one that I'm really happy about. I use water bottles regularly, though normally mine are all plastic. The only downside? Handwash only. I'm lazy so this will probably still be tossed in the dishwasher.
So it's BPA, phthalate and lead free so you don't have to worry about whatever you would worry about it if it had all those things. It holds 16oz.
Value: $30
Rume ReUseME All Tote- This is a super cute tote that folds down to a little zip pocket. It's got comfortable handles and can fit up to 50lbs worth of makeup, towels, fitness gear and tasty snacks. It also zips shut which I really am glad for.
I love the Baggu bags but I've often wish I could zip them. Instead I just tie the handles shut. This will *definitely* get used in my house. Im really getting in to the awesomeness of reusable bags.
Value: $16.95
Mai Couture- I've received these blotting papers before and been happy with them but Covet Crate has gone a step further and provided the wallet and a slim mirror to go with them. The leatherette wallet holds your papers safely and can also tote your cards and cash as well.
The papers themselves contain no talc or parabens and are used to blot your face of excess grease and dirt. It's got vitamins C and E in it and can be used easily over make up. Just make sure to blot, not swipe!
The mirror is super thin and comes in a cute pink case. It fits in the wallet along with the blotting papers so you can keep track of everything all at once. Love this!
Value: Wallet- $15 Papers- $12 Mirror-$8
Miss Violet Lace Beach Hair Perfume- This is a water based perfume for your hair. It has organic coconut and vanilla in it alone with water and vegetable glycerin. It smells absolutely delicious! I love the scent of coconut (and tanning oils, I can't lie) and this smells light and freshly perfect.
Value: $12  $4, it's a sample size at .3g

Miss Violet Lace Dry Shampoo- As you know, I'm not a fan of dry shampoo. It just does not work for my and my dark hair. However, this was not actually in the box and instead there was a note saying that it would be shipped separately. I actually am kind of glad they shipped the rest of the box because I like having the majority of the things! Instead of a delay, they just sent what they had. I'm okay with that.
The dry shampoo is made of clay, plant powder and organic extracts. It has bentonite and kaolin clays to absorb oils, arrowroot to ad volume and surprisingly has cocoa powder and chocolate extract. I wonder if that means it would work okay with dark hair? I might have to try this!
Value: $14

VERDICT: I like two things especially in this box and that is the RuME tote and the Miss Violet Beach hair perfume. I'm a little bit sad that the majority of the box value is taken up by blotting papers and their case along with a glass water bottle, even if it is Kate Spade. The total value of the box comes to $113 $101 which is low value for a box that costs $94 after all is said and done. I've switched to the Girl Boss box to see if the value is better at $49.99. It seems like it might be but we will see! It's a fun box and I enjoy getting and opening it but it's had not to compare to a Popsugar LE.

If you would like to sign up for this box, you need to go to their website and sign up for emails. The sign up is waaay down at the bottom on the right. Once subscriptions for May open up, you'll receive an email and you should sign up right away. If you're on Facebook, they update their page if they have extra boxes for the month, too. Aprils theme is "Working on my Fitness" and will have a Kate Spade 16 oz. glass water bottle with silicon sleeve (BPA, phthalate- and lead-free, and no plastic smell or taste) and Rume's lightweight carry-all bag! Both the Lady Boss and Girl Boss boxes will have these two items although I think the Lady Boss has a bigger Rume tote.

When you sign up, use code BITSANDBOXES15 for 15% off your first box!
