I'm really excited to introduce you to Happy Rebel Box! This is a fun, fashion oriented subscription box that ships quarterly. If you love classic styles with a modern edge, you're going to want to keep your eye on this.
Everything in the box was individually wrapped, which I love. That little detail adds so much to the "gift" feel of the box and makes it all the more special.
Happy Rebel Box also donates 10% off their profits to non-profit organizations. Each season features a different charity. This Spring 2016 box will be helping Room to Read. Room to Read works in collaboration with local communities in low income countries. They operate primarily in Asia and Africa and work hard to develop literacy skills in children and ensure that girls complete secondary school. This is a well-recognized organization with a proven track record and I'm thrilled that Happy Rebel Box is choosing such a life changing operation to donate to. Reading is a huge part of my life and I love to know others enjoy it. I also am glad there's a focus on gender equality in education too.
The Cost: $100/quarterly
What You Get: Each box will contain 4-6 items that will vary box to box, so you will never receive the same types of items repeatedly. Each box could contain jewelry, fashion accessories, home decor, beauty products, as well as other various lifestyle items that fit the collection of the box as well as the Happy Rebel modern and edgy style.
Marlyn Schiff Chunky Chain Statement Necklace- I absolutely love this. LOVE it! Not only is it super comfortable to wear but I love how versatile it is with it's super sparkly-ness paired with a more casual link chain. I find many times that my super sparkly jewels can dress up an outfit a little too much but I'd feel totally fine wearing this with jeans and lace up shoes. It also will look spectacular with one of my black evening gowns.
It's 16" long and has a 3" extender but I think I like it right up close to my neck. It's seriously gorgeous and I think I may have gasped a little as I unwrapped it.
Value: $78
Eylure Lashes Texture No. 154- I seem to have a hard time applying false lashes and wish I could wear them without so much effort on my part. However, I looked up a bunch of YouTube videos and found a way to get them on with a minimum of fuss. These lashes are perfect. They're not too long and add a perfect amount of density to my fairly sparse lashes. They arrived at a great time, right when I'm taking a break from my extensions. I wore them to a costume party over the weekend and was one of the semi-finalists in the costume contest!
Value: $8
Arbotique Designs Sterling Silver Midi Rings- I've never owned any midi rings but I have seen some great looks in fashion magazines so I'm super happy to have these. They're sterling silver which I love finding in subscription boxes. Real jewelry! These are small, silver rings that appear to be hand-beaten.
They're not smooth and the light glints off the planes of the rings beautifully. I broke them up to wear them but you can put them all on one finger or one on each, etc. :)
Value: $12
Essie Cashmere Matte "Spun in Luxe" Nail Polish- This appears to be a shimmery blue polish in the bottle but when you apply it, it's matte black with just hints of sparkles. It dries LIGHTNING fast and required two coats to opacity.
Longevity is not it's strong point as it chipped horribly within a day (but that was without a base or topcoat) even with two coats. It's got a really interesting finish, though. I like it!
Value: $8
Deux Lux Gemini Snake Embossed Clutch- This is a perfectly sized vegan clutch for regular use (9.5" x 7"). It's bigger than other ones I have but smaller than my smallest purse so it hits that great middle ground. I like the pattern and the embossing. I believe this color is called Mint.
It's going to be great for evenings out with the girls or to spice up an otherwise mundane black outfit. I'm known for doing that. So this will be fun! I also really, really appreciate the zipper pocket inside. Every clutch should have one. It's essential!
Value: $55
VERDICT: Did Happy Rebel Box make me smile? Absolutely. I was a little blown away by the thoughtful curation as well. It helps that "classic with an edge" is a favorite style of mine, too. I love the fact that everything in this box can be worn at the same time. It's not a loose, disjointed set of accessories but thought actually went into the choosing so you could complete a full look with what you were sent. I'm SO curious to know what will come in the Summer box! I think this box is on par with Rachel Zoe's Box of Style. The difference is that Box of Style is boho and this is more glam rock.
If you would like to subscribe to the Happy Rebel Box, you can do that right here. I'm thinking of subscribing for a full year and if you also want to, use code BITSANDBOXES50 to get $50 off an Annual Subscription! That brings the Annual price down to $330 which is practically a free box (not really but you know what I mean)! Shipping is free and you can skip a box if you so choose.
What do you think of the contents of this box? Would you have loved/hated it? I'm always curious to know what other people think of fashion boxes. There are so few out there, feedback is always appreciated.

I didn't order it but I love this box! Classic with an edge is definitely my style. I want that clutch! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Zoe box was supposed to be "boho" but that makes sense based on the reviews I've seen... And also explains why I've never been interested in it.
