Chococurb Mini Specialty Chocolate Subscription May 2016 Review

Chococurb is a supremely perfect specialty chocolate subscription. This is a subscription that I find makes a fantastic gift, especially for mothers that love chocolate. Like mine does. I gave her a box for her birthday and she called me later saying it was some of the best chocolate she'd ever had.
For the summer, your chocolate comes wrapped in cooling envelopes with a small ice pack. My chocolate arrived perfectly even though it had been quite hot in the mailbox for some time.

There are two sizes of Chococurb boxes. One is the regular Chococurb subscription that has 5-7 different chocolate products in it and the other is the gift subscription Chococurb Mini with 3 chocolate goodies. This review is for the Mini version.

The Cost: Mini- $20/month, Regular: $35/month

What You Get: Mini- An assortment of 3 specialty chocolates, Regular- An assortment of 5 to 7 chocolates or chocolate related items. These items can come from small, local chocolatiers to more established, national brands.

Amedei Tuscany Toscano Blond- This was unbelievably delicious. It's my favorite bar from the box. I couldn't stop nibbling it after I took the photo. Its made with 63% dark chocolate and has tiny bits of dried peaches and apricots utilising a new, patented process developed by master chocolatier Cecelia Tessieri. Whatever that process is, it works amazingly. This was a fabulous bar of chocolate.
Value: $8.20
Theo Congo Coffee and Cream- This bar is a milk chocolate with 45% cacao. Theo is a Seattle chocolatier that prides itself on being organic and fair trade. This particular bar of chocolate was made in conjunction with Eastern Congo Initiative and uses Congolese coffee, cocoa and vanilla. While milk chocolate isn't my favorite, this bar was so delicious! It was like my morning mochas only more melty and delicious.
Value: $4.99
Menakao Madagascar Milk Chocolate- This 44% milk chocolate bar is made on the island of Madagascar using Madagascar vanilla and cocoa beans.

VERDICT: This box has such a great range of  chocolate from around the world! Every bar I've received has been wonderful and high quality. Just the way I like it. When you sign up you can specify the types of chocolate you would like so you only get what you know you love. When gifting, the recipient will receive a nice mix like the box above.

I just have to mention the perfect packaging of these boxes. These are beautiful and sturdy boxes and truly add a touch of elegance to the gifting aspect of this subscription.

If you would like to sign up for Chococurb, you can do that here. You can spoil yourself or someone else. :)
